Fair use due to the typical medical smoke and mirrors – I don’t always agree with Dr Oz, but I do think he’s trying to be part of the solution. He seemed to be very fair minded and made some very strong points. On August 6, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie celebrated their son Maddox’s 10th birthday. But there wasn’t much celebrating to be had between them. The Jolie-Pitts sat in the orchestra section and reserved extra seats for privacy to see the hit musical Wicked at London’s Apollo Victoria Theatre. Lucky for the other patrons that they did so. Why? A source at the theater tells OK! (yeah, we know): “Maddox looked so uncomfortable after about 20 minutes and tried to get his parents’ attention – while his sister Shiloh was scared and crying.” “Brad and Angelina turned very tense the whole time. They hardly spoke, and as soon as the show was over, they went their separate ways.” That about sums up Brangelina these days. The wedding buzz may swirl around the couple, but they’ve been leading separate lives in London as Brad films his zombie thriller, World War Z . When he’s not filming, sources say he spends off-hours with pals, in particular a mysterious young assistant who we’ve reported on before. “Angelina is seething!” the insider says. “When she rearranged her schedule and flew to London to be with Brad, she imagined they’d be having romantic dinners and hanging out together on the set, and he’s basically blowing her off.” In Angie’s view, Brad is basically a bad boyfriend. “They had plans; then he’s left her hanging at the last minute,” the source says of the pair. “For instance, they were supposed to go to this French restaurant.” “Angie got all dressed up. Demi Lovato isn’t saying much about her upcoming album, which will be released on September 20 . But Timbaland has revealed he’s worked with the artist on at least one track, while OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder says he collaborated with Lovato on the single “Who’s That?” and “Demi blew me out of the water vocally!” Is Demi Lovato the next Kelly Clarkson? Yes, swears Ryan Tedder. Added Tedder, gushing: “I had no idea how good her voice is. She’s one of the best singers I’ve ever worked with. Literally, that good… I mean, she’s a Kelly Clarkson-level vocalist. And Kelly has a set of pipes.” What can we expect from this tune? Nothing like the ballad that is “Skyscraper,” Tedder tells E! News: “I think everybody wanted to hear her talk about that, and this is basically flipping it 180, saying, ‘Oh, by the way, I’m still also just young and want to have fun.’ There’s even like a little rap feature on it.” Is Lovato the one rapping? If you’re confused as to how Michael Jackson’s Estate and his own family members can be fighting over a concert honoring his legacy … welcome to the unending saga of Michael Jackson, bizarre even after his death. The honchos in charge of the late singer’s estate are threatening the people behind the Michael Jackson Tribute concert, claiming the promoters are tarnishing Michael’s legacy and are possibly even ripping him off. Howard Weitzman, lawyer for the Estate, fired off a letter to promoters of the concert – set for October 8 in Wales – expressing displeasure about many things. Chief among them? That KISS and Gene Simmons will be performing . As we know, Gene publicly accused MJ of being a child molester, a fact not lost on Weitzman, who writes in his letter to those in charge of the show: “It was extraordinarily embarrassing when no sooner than you announced this ‘news’ that he would participate that TMZ posted an item noting Mr. Simmons had called Michael Jackson – the man you are purportedly honoring – a child molester.” Weitzman also questions where the proceeds will be going. Michael’s father, Joe Jackson, and Leonard Rowe are behind the concert, and suffice it to say, they’ve always been quick to cash in on MJ’s name. Weitzman suggests promoters may be running afoul of the law using “intellectual property controlled by the Estate” – MJ images and his songs. A number of big name stars, such as Christina Aguilera, are set to perform at the show, while Prince Michael, Paris and Blanket will attend. We’ll see if it even takes place at this rate.
