Shortly after heading out to celebrate turning 19 years old on Friday, March 1, the singer returned to Twitter with a short but telling summary of his night. “Worst birthday,” he tweeted to his more than 35 million followers. The tone of the message was in stark contrast with his excitement from earlier in the day, when he wrote, “Gonna be fun tonight. Thanks to everyone for all the birthday wishes. 19!” So what went wrong? A source at London’s Cirque du Soir, where the “Nothing Like Us” crooner was celebrating with friends including Will Smith’s son Jaden Smith and British singer Ella-Paige Roberts Clarke, tells Us Weekly that there was a confrontation between Bieber’s team and security at the venue. The source of the scuffle was Smith, who at 14 isn’t old enough for the club scene. “There was never any mention of Jaden being there, so when he showed up, it caused problems,” the insider tells Us, noting that Bieber and his entourage were at the club for just 15 minutes or so before the incident. “They could have stayed if Jaden left, but Justin wanted to be loyal to his good friend.” First things first, didn’t club security KNOW that Jaden was only 14 when they allowed him into the club in the first place?! The U.S. Transportation Security Administration has issued an apology after an embarrassing video, filmed by a Missouri couple, painted its agent in very poor light. On February 8, TSA screeners in St. Louis stopped Annie Schulte and her three-year old disabled daughter on their way to Orlando. As Schulte explains in the video below – as well as to ABC News – she became alarmed when an agent claimed it was illegal for her to film the agents patting down and screening her daughter, who was visibly/loudly upset by the confusing situation. The agents are refused to hand over the daughter’s stuffed animal at first, even though it had already passed through security. Watch events unfold now: TSA Harasses 3-Year Old In response to this incident, the TSA sent out a statement that reads: “TSA regrets inaccurate guidance was provided to this family during screening and offers its apology,” the agency said. “We are committed to maintaining the security of the traveling public and strive to treat all passengers with dignity and respect. While no pat-down was performed, we will address specific concerns with our workforce.” The family has accepted the apology and the child has received a happy ending: she made it to Disney World and met Mickey Mouse.
Reeva Steenkamp, Oscar Pistorius’ slain girlfriend, spent her final minutes hiding behind a bathroom door before he shot her to death, a new report alleges. The South African double-amputee Olympic sprinter pumped four bullets through the door and into the helpless blond beauty, a neighbor has claimed. Details of their Valentine’s Day fight, after which Oscar Pistorius was charged with murder , began to emerge as police piece together what happened. Or what they believe happened. Pistorius’ family, while offering prayers for Reeva Steenkamp , say they “strongly dispute” the alleged murder charge. In any event, the gorgeous model was found dead two hours after police were called to Pistorius’ upscale home over a loud fight involving the couple. Steenkamp reportedly fled in fear to the bathroom in her boyfriend’s house before she was shot through the closed door with a 9-mm. handgun. She was struck in the head, chest, pelvis and hand, local media reports say. Security guards in Pistorius’ gated Pretoria community found him sitting alongside the bloody body in the bathroom with the four bullet holes obvious in the door. The pair were alone in the house at the time of the killing; there were no eyewitness accounts. The suspected murder weapon was recovered at the scene. Prosecutors, in a stunning move, announced the six-time Paralympic gold medalist faced charges of premeditated murder in the predawn shooting. Pistorius wept in court but did not enter a plea ; he remains in custody. Steenkamp and the Olympian began dating about four months ago. The shooting reverberated across South Africa, where Pistorius is a national hero, and the world, where he was a symbol of courage and determination. An ex-girlfriend of Pistorius took to Twitter to defend the 26-year-old sprinter-turned-suspect, insisting he had no history of violence toward women. “I would just like to say, I have dated Oscar on/off for 5 YEARS, NOT ONCE has he EVER lifted a finger to me, made me fear for my life,” said Jenna Edkins. His former girlfriend added: “All I am saying is let him speak, let his side be heard without jumping to conclusions. Love and thoughts to Reeva’s family.” However, another former ex called Pistorius a “player” and “certainly not what people think he is.” Samantha Taylor said he had “way with women.” Taylor’s father also weighed in on Pistorius’ dark side. “I have no sympathy for Oscar. I have absolutely wanted to meet Justin for like 4 years, and that finally happened when Justin came down to Miami for the Believe Tour. My best friend Jazmine (@RoyalJieber) and I entered the BieberFever contest for Miami. We thought both had a really great chance of meeting Justin. The day before the concert I woke up in the morning thinking that I won the BieberFever contest but I didn’t win it and I was pretty upset. I cried for 2 hours because it was our last chance to meet Justin before this tour ended. The crazy thing that my friends from (@BieberGift) trended #BiebsMeetJazmine and Jasmine never ask them to make her tend topic worldwide on Twitter and they tried so freaking hard get crew to see it they all online at the time but I’m guessing they didn’t see it. The day of the concert I started getting ready to heading to arena with Jazmine and her mom. When we got there, we didn’t see anyone from the crew outside of the arena. Then around 1 p.m. Jazmine was checking her Twitter she got a DM from Brad saying, “What do you want to put the M&G under?” She DM’d him back saying her name and then Brad said, “Go to will call & pick up you’re M&G around 4pm.” Then next thing you know Jazmine was crying & screaming “I’m meeting Justin.” I was so shook, I couldn’t believe it was finally happening! We were waiting for like 2 hours and finally they let us go in the arena. Security guards told me, “keep walking until you see other security guards.” Finally the line was moving. We saw Scooter on other side of the room, then we saw Quincy and he smile and waved at us. It was time for me and my friend go inside the curtain and the first thing I saw was Alfredo. I said to Alfredo, “I’m SpongieGomez,” and he said, “Omg it’s nice to finally meet you.” Then he give me a huge hug and kissed me, then we saw Justin. Jazmine and I looked at each other like ”OMG he is freaking real!” Justin’s bodyguards said to us, “Stop pushing” and I told them I wasn’t. I turned around and told everyone to move back. Then I was aloud to meet Justin. I asked him for a hug and he said sure. Justin’s skin was so freaking soft. Then his bodyguard pulled me off of him and said, “We don’t have time for that, we have take the picture.” Mike the camera guy was like, “Say cheese!” After we smiled for the picture I said “Justin,” as he looked dead into my eyes. “I love you so much,” and he said, “I love you too.” Then I had to leave the room and I said, “Bye Fredo I love you.” Then the next thing you know I freaking screamed so hard and said, “Omg Justin said I love you too.” We were crying so hard. We got recorded for Justin’s Believe movie after meeting him . After all the times I tried so hard to meet Justin and after all of the people who told me I would never meet him, I did. I never thought that I would have a Bieber Experience of my very own. But it finally happened and it was a dream come true. It was 1/11/13 when I found out that I had won the BieberFever contest. I started to get ad emails constantly that day and every time there was a buzz on my phone, my heart would jump and skip a beat. One buzz after another then suddenly I started to give up. BAM it buzzed again and I got annoyed cause I thought it was another basic ad. When I clicked on it, it said ‘BIEBER FEVER! CONGRATULATIONS!’ I threw my phone on my desk while I was in class and everyone just looked at me. Then I bursted out crying and said, “I’m meeting Justin Bieber tomorrow.” Everyone thought I was crazy but then when they saw I was crying they were so happy for me. My teacher let me out 5 minutes early to tell my best friend and I was crying still. After I called my dad because before I made a deal with him saying if I won, he would take me down to San Antonio to meet Justin. San Antonio is 5 hours away from where I live. When I got in the car, I cried to my dad even harder because it was unreal to me. I thought I was dreaming. Then we went to pick up my friend so she could go with us. The next morning we drove down to San Antonio, the day of the concert. When we got there it was 2 p.m. so we went to find a hotel. We finally arrived at the arena but there was one big problem, my friend and I didn’t have tickets for the concert because I didn’t think I would even win the contest. We decided to test our luck, went to the box office and asked them for available tickets. They had 2 for $80 each. I was so stunned and we got the tickets along with our meet and greet wristbands. We then went in line and walked into an elevator underground. Lisa told us we have to be in a group of 6. When we got off the elevator, immediately I saw Kenny I ran up to him and said I loved him and hugged him . Then after that we went to the back of the line where I saw Dan and his cousin and friends. I ran up to Dan and hugged him too. Kenny later came back and people were surrounding him for pictures. When it was finally my turn to take a picture with him, someone pulled him away. Then it was my turn to meet Justin. Suddenly the curtains opened and I saw his face. My entire body started to shake and went into shock. The 4 girls in front of us ran in first so my friend and I walked in. One of the girls pushed another one so she could stand next to Justin and Justin told them to stop. It was mean of them. Right when I got in there, I looked at him and my body was in shock. I said, “Hi Justin” and then he was about to hug me but then the security guard stopped him. I was so upset. Then we took the picture. (I was on the bottom in the white shirt.) As I stepped out of the curtain, I turned around and walked out the door crying my eyes out. It was the best day of my life. I could not believe I met my idol. The person I’ve been waiting to meet for forever. Without the BieberFever contest, meeting Justin was impossible for me. I wouldn’t be able to afford it. I was so blessed and thankful for my dad for taking me too. Please don’t ever give up if you’re reading this. Dreams DO COME TRUE. Ignore what the haters say. This is crazy that I’m sitting here typing this. First of all I want to say that Justin has truly taught me to never say never and if you believe in your dreams they will come true. I now know that now from experience. I had already bought tickets over the summer for the Charlotte, NC concert, but I was determined to meet Justin. I entered a contest through a radio station to win meet & greets and to see Justin two more times. I had to take a picture showing how big of a fan I was and the person who got the most votes on their picture was the winner. I lost and was so heart broken. A few months later I entered another radio station contest where I had to text a certain number and the more you sent a text, the better your chances were. I sent over 17,400 texts and the winner sent 7,000. It was the biggest disappointment because I thought I had it for sure. That night I searched the internet for more contests. I wasn’t going to give up! When I saw someone tweet about the Bieberfever best collection contest, I asked them if there was any for my city before I updated my account and sure enough there was. I got all my Bieber stuff together, took the pic and sent it in. I was so nervous and shaking. The day before the concert came I was refreshing my email every 5 seconds. Around 7ish I got an email and all I saw was, “Congratulations Aggie!” I started shaking. I didn’t believe it was real. My sisters started shaking me and screaming, they were so happy. I went outside because I felt that I needed some air and I broke down! I started crying my eyes out. The day of the concert came. I woke up, did my hair, got Justin a Valentine’s card and bear, wrote cute things on the inside and left kiss marks on it. When we got to the arena we were first in line to pick up the meet & greets. Excited was an understatement. I literately started crying to a stranger behind me. NO SHAME. I got my bracelets and went to go stand in line. While I was in line, the man in front of me won Justin’s sweaty tank top. I was so jealous, and I asked if I could hold it and take a picture with it. Then Dan Kanter came out and I took some pics of him but then the line started moving it was the moment of truth! I saw Justin through the cracks of the sheets smiling, I almost died right then and there. I walked in, he looked up and his eyes locked right onto mine! He smiled and that is something I will NEVER EVER forget. I saw that he was wearing grillz but at first I thought, “When did he get braces?! oh wait… it’s a grill…” He said, “Hey girl.” He sounded so beautiful and I said, “Oh my gosh hi!” I asked if I could get a hug and he said “Of course.” They took our picture and I made sure in my pic I purposely placed my hand on his abs. I grabbed Justin’s arm and said, “I love you!” and as he was saying, “I love you too!” Then the security were calling me out. I wouldn’t trade those few seconds with him for anything in the world. I ran out and ran into my sister’s arms and cried. I started yelling, “Kelli he was wearing a grill, he is so fine!” The concert overall was so perfect. I sang my heart out, screamed and danced through out every second of it. I cried when he sang ‘Baby’ and ‘Boyfriend’ because I knew it was coming to an end.
