Miss USA Rima Fakih Criticzed For Alleged Partying

Stop us if you’ve heard this one, but Miss USA is under fire. Rima Fakih is not in crown-losing trouble … yet. But accusations of her “breaking the rules of conduct” have put The Tiara Patrol on high alert. According to Fox News (of course), Fakih was suspected of sneaking out (of where, it’s unclear) to party all night last week, then lying about it. The Miss Universe Organization, which rules over its gorgeous winners with an iron fist, requested security tapes to see if a cover-up occurred. “There was one night last week where [ Rima Fakih ] had some interviews the next day,” says Paula Shugart, the president of the ridiculous organization. “First we thought she wasn’t at the apartment (which she shares in NYC with Miss Universe), and someone was trying to get her to the interview.” “She was sound asleep, and looked like she’d been out all night.” Fakih did make the interviews, but her handlers are still asking about the security tapes, as this is “serious business,” especially after Tara Conner. Conner, of course, was the wild child who nearly lost the crown for her partying ways. Ultimately, Miss USA owner Donald Trump spared her. Unlike the Conner case, Shugart said there is absolutely no evidence to indicate any type of substance abuse problems in Rima’s situation. Nonetheless, Fakih was still made talk to Conner about the incident. Fakih will surrender her crown during the Miss USA Pageant June 20. Given the personal restrictions that come with the gig – you have to be on your best behavior, at all times – it might be a bit of a release. From day one, Fakih has been raising red flags within the organization. Right after her win, pics of her pole-dancing for a promotional event conducted by Detroit morning radio show “Mojo in the Morning” surfaced. But after some investigation by MUO, it was determined that she didn’t breach any moral code of conduct, and thus was not stripped of her sash. “We usually like to keep a handle on them,” Shugart tells Fox. “We have talent managers to keep track, and they are supposed to tell us when they go out.” “Rima is definitely a high spirited, fun person. If she went out that night it wouldn’t surprise us. … I don’t know if I’ll ever know where she went.” Sounds like an organization The Dictator would love. [Photo: WENN.com]

Fabolous says he has always wanted to perform on the Brooklyn Bridge; so that is exactly what he did! Fab’s very own VEVO Go show featured him performing “Ya’ll Don’t Hear Me Tho” off The S.O.U.L Tape with only a boom box and camera on freezing cold day. “I’ve never done this before. I’ve never walked over the bridge,” said Loso. “I definitely think it’s like part of hip-hop, even down to the boombox. I just wanted to do something that was different, even for me. Just showing the people that I’m from where you from. I grew up here, I know their environment, so you walk the same walks of life as they do.” Fabolous’ Security Pulls A Gun Out After Knocking a Guy Out[VIDEO] Kelly Rowland “Motivation” Remix Ft. Fabolous Allegedly Tries To Skip Out On His Restaurant Bill

Read more from the original source:

Bossip.com is reporting that rapper Fabolous tried to skip out on paying his restaurant bill by passing it off to the group behind him! “Last night after work my boss decided to take a large group of us (about 20) over to the rooftop of The Hotel Gansevoort in NYC. So Fabolous is sitting about three feet behind us and he has about four people with him. So we’re enjoying ourselves, ordering shots, cocktails and food. So one of my coworkers and security for the lounge happen to be cool. So later on in the night the security calls my coworker over and asks him if he knows “that guy over there” speaking about Fabolous. My coworker say “That’s Fab right.” The security says “Yeah, but is he with your group.” Of course not. Tell me why the security said that Faboulous tried to say that he was with us and to add his bill to our boss’ tab. No joke. We were tipsy so we all thought it was hilarious that he did such a sucker move. But anyways, that’s my Faboulous story.” Fabolous’ baby-mother is the star of VH1 reality show “Love & Hip Hop .” Fabolous Releases “The SOUL Tape” Online [FREE DOWNLOAD] Fabolous Talks Working With Neyo & Ryan Leslie On Joint Album

My name is Elizaveta and I’m going to tell you my Bieber…

My name is Elizaveta and I’m going to tell you my Bieber experience. The 9th April 2011 was the best day of my life because Justin Bieber finally came to Italy , and luckly he came in the city where I live!  I went to his concert for the first time! It was really amazing for me. Then after the concert I knew that he should go to the party of Dolce & Gabbana, so I went there, but the party was private so at first I couldn’t go inside. But after waiting I was aloud to go inside where he was, now maybe you can’t believe me, but I was inside and I’m not famous, and my parents as well. Inside there were a few other beliebers, also the daughters of the owner. I was very lucky to go in, thanks to an amazing person. I was there and I saw Justin dancing. Sadly Justin didn’t take any photos with fans, and I was a little sad for that. But now I realize that I was the happiest girl in the world. It was really the best day of my life, I really hope he’ll come back in Italy! Also my friend Magda was at the concert too, and she caught Justin’s towel when he threw it into the crowd, but that’s another experience.  I hope Justin will follow me one day. NEVER SAY NEVER.  – @_elizaveta_   See the article here: My name is Elizaveta and I’m going to tell you my Bieber…

I can definitely say I am very lucky to have had the chance to…

I can definitely say I am very lucky to have had the chance to meet Justin Bieber on  2  different occasions. The first time I met him was on  August 4th of 2010  in Orlando, Florida. For my 14th birthday, my parents got my friend Kylee and I a hotel room at the Hyatt Grand Cypress because we stayed the night in Orlando and we also got tickets to Justin’s concert. My cousin is in the entertainment industry and works with different celebrities so he got us the Meet & Greets. As soon as we arrived at the hotel, we were both freaking out telling all of the workers how we were going to meet Justin Bieber. One of the workers at the front desk even prank called me telling me it was Justin! We were so anxious and decided to get ready a few hours before the concert only there was a problem. The hotel room wasn’t ready because the people staying in our room didn’t check out yet! Kylee and I had to get ready in the hotel bathroom! As soon as we were done getting ready, we headed over to the Amway Arena because the Meet & Greet started at 5:00 and we had to pick up our M&G bracelets at 4:30. Finally, after waiting for what seemed to be hours, we walked into the Arena and saw huge curtains where we were going to meet Justin. We were waiting and waiting, we even met 2 other nice girls in line. Suddenly we heard a few people gasp behind us and I saw someone out of the corner of my eye. I didn’t think much of it but it was  JUSTIN BIEBER  on his segway a few feet away from me!!! He zoomed past us and headed for the curtains! My sudden reaction was to slap Kylee as hard as I could which I did haha. A few minutes later, Kylee and I were next in line. I took a deep breath as I saw  KENNY  look at me. He told me, “Whatever you do don’t pass out.” and then he smiled. Then another security guard opened up the curtains as I saw Justin Bieber stand right in front of me. He took of his hat, shook his beautiful hair and put his hat back on as he waved us in. My friend Kylee actually walked in first because she claimed that as soon as I saw Justin, I froze and stood in the same spot for a couple of seconds. Then I walked over to him and he put his arms around me. He was so soft and he smelled like mint! Then I stood right next to him with our arms around eachother, on his right when 2 other girls walked in behind us and got in the picture. Kylee was on his left. As soon as we got our picture taken, I turned over to him and handed him a bracelet that I made for him. He looked at me, smiled, and said thank you very much. He put his arm out for me to tie it on him only it dropped! We both hesitated to pick it up but he ended up getting it and I said, “Nice meeting you, I hope you liked your bracelet!” He said, “Nice meeting you too. I love it.” I was hoping he would wear it during the concert. As Kylee and I were walking out of the curtains, I turned around so I could take my final look at him up close and personal. Kenny was tying my bracelet onto Justin’s wrist! I was in shock and as soon as I walked out, I fell to the floor crying.  After the amazing show, Kylee and I rushed over to Justin’s tour bus and saw  RYAN GOOD  who autographed my hand! He was extremely nice. I can for sure say that August 4th of 2010 was one of the  BEST  days of my life! Never Say Never. -@ iitshaley Read the original here: I can definitely say I am very lucky to have had the chance to…

It’s Earth Day!: What Are Hollywood’s Green Celebs Up To?

Leo DiCaprio, Joe Jonas, Alicia Silverstone and more are doing their part for Mother Earth. By Jocelyn Vena Leonardo DiCaprio Photo: Kiyoshi Ota/ Getty Images Some of Hollywood’s biggest names have been open about their love for the planet. So in honor of Earth Day, MTV News zeroed in on some of La La Land’s greenest superstars to show the ways in which they’re using their celebrity to shed light on important environmental causes. Leonardo DiCaprio has set the bar very high for other green celebs. And he is, in many ways, the face of environmentally-minded Hollywood. Not only does he have his own foundation focused on finding sustainable options, but he also wrote, produced, and narrated “The 11th Hour,” a film about the dangers of global warming. Much like DiCaprio, Ed Norton is a well-known activist who has worked with charities that help bring attention to Mother Earth. Norton has also teamed up with the Enterprise Green Communities Initiative and BP’s Solar Neighbors program. He recently worked with Joe Jonas for the singer’s Change for the Children Foundation. Joe has been vocal about the ways his fans can help the planet. Last year, he recorded the song “Make a Wave” for the “Oceans” soundtrack, and he spoke MTV News about getting involved. “There [are] a lot of things that people can do to help out that they don’t really know about. The movie really … helps you understand what you can do. Whether it’s really taking your time and going to the beaches and helping out or whether it’s something at home, there’s so many different things that if we all do it together, just like anything else, we can make a big impact.” Alicia Silverstone, a vegan , continues to spread the word about eating sustainable foods. She released a cookbook, “The Kind Diet,” and shared with MTV News why she feels it’s important others eat in a way that’s both “kind” to the environment and their own bodies. “I started to glow, and people were like, ‘Why do you look so great?’ I felt so much better, and I used to take an asthma inhaler and I used to get allergy shots — and all that stuff went away. And my skin got great,” she explained. “So what I found was at first, I thought this was good karma.” Other well-known celebrity activists include Hayden Panettiere, Chace Crawford , Rosario Dawson and American Ferrera. How are you helping the planet on Earth Day? Tell us in the comments!

‘Friday’ Singer Rebecca Black Death Threats: Cyber Expert Weighs In

Cyber-security pro says teens are ‘playing crazies online as a way of acting out.’ By Gil Kaufman Rebecca Black Photo: Getty/ Jason LaVeris The Internet has brought stars closer than ever to their fans and opened up an unprecedented two-way path of communication between once-untouchable celebrities and their biggest followers. But it has also opened up a forum that deranged or attention-seeking devotees have begun exploiting as the latest and most serious form of cyber-stalking: anonymous death threats. The latest victim of such attacks is “Friday” sensation Rebecca Black, who ABC News reported has been receiving threats by e-mail and phone ever since her song became a viral sensation. Police in Anaheim, California, have begun an investigation into the actions against 13-year-old Black, and cyber-security expert Parry Aftab told MTV News that it’s important to not take such anonymous threats lightly. “The thing is: They think they can get away with it and that’s because they often do get away with it,” said Aftab, one of the leading experts on cyber-security and cyber-abuse issues. “A death threat is actionable in every state, and when someone like Justin Bieber (his girlfriend Selena Gomez ) or Rebecca Black gets them, they tend to brush them off as someone who is on the Internet and doesn’t matter, but you don’t know the difference between someone wearing Pokemon pajamas and living in their mom’s basement who is harmless and people who are really nutty enough to kill you.” Aftab warned that all the big social networks are now taking enforcement of cyber-stalking very seriously and working with law enforcement to root out the attackers. “These are people looking for attention, with nothing else to do in their lives,” she said. “They’re not mature enough to deal with society and don’t know how to get attention in good ways.” And while they may be empowered by the anonymity of the Internet and they may get the attention they seek by taking on someone with a high profile and millions of fans as a quick way to gain cyber-fame, Aftab warned that these actions are absolutely against both state and federal laws. “If you make a threat of serious bodily harm or a death threat, a true threat, the Supreme Court has ruled that that is not protected by the First Amendment,” she said. And while these actions are often the work of lonely “trolls” who are seeking attention, Aftab said even if some are posted by fellow teens who are jealous, looking for a thrill or just joking around, authorities will take them seriously. “If you’re in an airport and you’re goofing around with your friends in the security line and talk about, ‘He’s got a bomb,’ you are going to go to jail. It might be funny, but there are very clear-cut laws and this is one of them,” she said. “There are many cases where it’s a 15-year-old on the other side and they’re not crazies, but they’re playing crazies online as a way of acting out.” Friends joking around is one thing, but according to federal cyber-stalking laws, if you communicate with someone anonymously and they can’t evaluate how real the threat is and your intent is to annoy or harass, the FBI can investigate it and you can go to jail for two years. In a case like Black’s, where the singer has elicited a lot of negative response from people who are annoyed by her simplistic, insanely catchy song, Aftab chalks the death threats up to a loss of civility and people not knowing how to object to something without resorting to the most extreme words and using the secrecy of the Internet as a screen for their hate or jealously. “They think it doesn’t matter because they’re only words and they’re doing it anonymously on Facebook, but they don’t realize that it’s just as legally actionable as if you went up to [a celebrity] face to face and said, ‘I want to kill you.’ ” As for how victims of such actions can protect themselves, Aftab suggested the victim keep the communication going with the person making the threats, but not respond to them or say they’re going to report them to the authorities. In the meantime, they should contact the local authorities and, she suggested, visit a site like SpectorSoft , which offers what she called the most powerful monitoring software available, which is able to log all incoming and outgoing communications on your computers and some smartphones and trace them so authorities can find out who is behind the harassment and bring charges. “Run silent and run deep, but do not respond,” she counseled. “It only feeds this.” MTV’s ongoing project also provides stories and resources for anyone who believes they are being cyber-bullied or who is looking for ways to stop harassment by digital means. A “Lil Positivity”: What Bad Economy? Blacks And Young Americans Remain Positive Despite Our Nations Struggles

Is the “American Dream” dead? Despite hard times Black America is willing to do whatever it takes to keep their head above water in a struggling economy. “Due to today’s struggling economy, many young people are less inclined to believe in the “American Dream” than their parents and grandparents. “More than 4 in 10 predict it will be tougher to raise a family and afford the lifestyle they want,” according to a poll conducted by an Associate Press-Viacom poll of Americans aged 18 to 24. But this has not prevented African Americans or whites from feeling hopeful that they will be able to adapt and cope with their circumstances. “Social Security may not even exist when I’m older. Health insurance is going up. Everything just costs more,” said Ashley Yates, a nursing student at San Francisco State University. But students like her are not shaken by the dismal economy. 90 percent of the 1,104 participants surveyed actually believe that they will find a career that will bring them happiness. Young adults are willing to take on second jobs to supplement their incomes to make up for low salaries and there is a trend of optimism. More students and young professionals are determined to better their individual circumstances even if they believe that the general population will not be able to accomplish their goals. “Even if it never gets better permanently, we’ll adjust to whatever it is,” said Preus, 22, a linguistics and cognitive science grad from Cornell University who plans to pursue her passion for science in graduate school. A Washington Post-Kaiser Family Foundation-Harvard University poll discovered the economic crisis within the last few years has eliminated nearly a fifth of Americans’ net worth. African Americans and Hispanics were more likely to be left broke, jobless and concerned that they lack the skills needed to gain profitable careers. But they also remained the most hopeful that they would eventually be able to prosper. AOL BlackVoices also reported that black teens were more optimistic about their economic futures compared to the general population. Seventy percent of black students ages 15 to 18 thought their standard of living would be better than their parents, compared with just 36 percent of white students, according to a Hamilton College poll. In contrast, white baby boomers were not as hopeful. “I think things are going to get worse before they get better. A lot of people are going to have to buckle down because we’ve got a generation now that doesn’t work,” said David Still, 54, a married, white father of two who works as an electrician in Sumter, S.C. Studies have speculated that the rise in optimism among blacks is due to the election of President Barack Obama despite the history of oppression and strife in America. Perhaps a generation where more students have seen traditional pathways to economic success feel they are more inclined to create their own road to accomplish their goals. “A lot of stuff in the news is telling everyone that they can’t, that the economy is crumbling and there’s no room for anyone to do anything,” said 23-year-old Lucas Ward. “But I’m watching that being disproven every day.” We will prosper! Why do you think young Blacks have a more optimistic attitude toward the future than older white Americans? Have older generations helped to instill a healthy attitude toward struggle? Or are we just being naive? Source
