Who are our famous family members? Wednesday night, the stars’ seeds got their chance to shine in a great charity event for kids that brought out the pride and joys of many of the NY Knicks, Yankees and a plethora of other entertainers. Here’s more about the event: The inaugural Kids Rock! runway show took place last night on September 11th, 2013 at Grand Central Terminal for New York Fashion Week 2014 and featured a bevy of celebrity offspring and children models walking the runway in looks from iconic brands, Levi’s®, Converse, Nike, Jordan and Nike SB. Hosted by NBA All-Star Amar’e Stoudemire, the Kid’s Rock! fashion show was dedicated to benefitting the Amar’e Stoudemire Foundation and nonprofit organization K.I.D.S. (Kids In Distressed Situations) to aid at-risk youth and children in need. Along with Amar’e Stoudemire’s children, Amar’e Jr., Assata and Ar’e, celebrity kids who walked the runway include: Carmelo and La La Anthony’s son Kiyan, Lil’ Jon’s son DJ Young Slade, Kelly Bensimon’s daughter Thaddeus Ann, Sherri Shepherd’s son Jeffrey Tarplay. Taking after his showbiz mom, Jeffrey was the life of the party as he danced down the runway and giving out high fives to the professional athletes in the front row. Derek Jeter’s nephew, the children of the New York Yankees’ CC Sabathia and Angie Martinez’s son Niko saluted the crowd to cheers. The children and nephew of Orange is the New Black star Dascha Polanco, and Shameless actress Emma Kenney also strutted down the runway. In attendance to root on the kid models and to support a good cause were: Carmelo and LaLa Anthony, Kelly Bensimon, Tyson and Kimberly Chandler, Patrick Toussaint, Po Johnson, Lil’ Jon, Jeannie Mai, Jill Martin, Angie Martinez, DJ Cassidy, Dascha Polanco, Amber Sabathia, and Sherri Shepherd. 10-year-old DJ Fulano, pint-sized deejay and style maven, spun the latest hits. Hair authority and owner of Cozy Cuts for Kids, Cozy Friedman, and her team styled the models as they sported the hottest looks of the season. Looks like a great event! Aaron Hernandez couldn’t be there for the Patriots season opener against the Buffalo Bills but his presence was felt nonetheless… Via NY Daily News reports : Dressed in orange jumpsuits painted with the surname “Hernandez” and the No. 81 on the backs, 10 Canadian men who identified themselves as corrections and police officers stood in Section 102 of Ralph Wilson Stadium on Sunday. They posed with Patriots and Bills fans alike, standing atop their bleacher seats in Row 15 below O.J. Simpson’s retired No. 32 marker in the team’s ring of honor. The men planned to wear the outfits to offer a Hernandez presence at the Patriots’ season opener as Hernandez, the former New England tight end, sat in his solitary cell at the Bristol County House of Correction back in Massachusetts as he awaits his murder trial. Hernandez, 23, was arrested for allegedly orchestrating the killing of Odin Lloyd, a 27-year-old landscaper who moonlighted as a linebacker on the Boston Bandits, a team in the New England Football League. Hernandez was arraigned on first-degree murder and five firearms charges in Superior Court Friday afternoon in Fall River, Mass. “He’s guilty,” Kevin Buchan said. “No two ways about it.” Hernandez was not allowed to watch the game, according to sheriff Tom Hodgson. “Absolutely not,” Hodgson said. “No way.” SMH… Do you think these guys went too far or is it an important reminder to society about all the dirt Hernandez was allowed to get away with as an NFL baller before his murderous acts finally caught up to him? The actress was spotted wearing all white alongside her boo for Ludacris’ Saturday night all-white party at Compound. Raven tweeted and instagrammed about her Ludaday weekend adventure.
