Rihanna Settles Copyright Infringement Suit With Photog Over “S&M” Video

Rihanna’s “We Found Love” video just dropped, but some folks are still talking about her “S&M” clip – especially after photographer David LaChapelle accused her of copying his pictures for some of the vid’s racy scenes. Asking for $1 million in damages, LaChapelle alleged that Riri copied his poses, lighting, wardrobe and props. We have to admit, we saw the similarities, too. However, the two have come to an agreement and Rihanna settled the case for, of course, an “undisclosed sum” which David is “happy with,” according to NY Post . He said: “I like RiRi. This is not personal, it’s strictly business. Musicians commonly pay to sample music or use someone’s beats and there should be no difference when sampling an artist’s visuals.” Good point. Rick Ross was scheduled to perform in Atlanta and Los Angeles this week, and the show in L.A. has been rescheduled for 2012. This is probably a good idea, since Ross’ attempt to make good on a Memphis performance after his first seizure resulted in a second. Fortunately the promoters and Ricky’s team were on the same accord, and decided it was best for him to get better. The official cause of Rick Ross’ seizures has not yet been revealed to the public, but he has been taking a bus when necessary instead of flying. Get more info right here . 50 Cent and Rick Ross have a long history of beefing, so there was no telling what 50 would say about Rozay after he suffered two strokes in one day on Friday (October 14th). Instead of throwing a jab, 50 simply stated “he gotta take care of his self” after one of his followers asked if he had anything to say about Ricky’s condition. TMZ is reporting that Rick Ross has had another seizure. We reported earlier that the Boss was unconscious after suffering a seizure on a plane flying from Ft. Lauderdale to Memphis. That plane made an emergency landing and Ross was taken to a hospital where he was in stable condition. He apparently decided to try and fly to Memphis anyway where he was scheduled to perform with Yo Gotti tonight. But at 5:44 PM CDT, Ross’ private jet was diverted and landed in Birmingham after Rick had another seizure in flight. Rick is currently in a Birmingham hospital emergency room. Read more at TMZ. BREAKING NEWS: Rick Ross Has Suffered His SECOND Seizure Today!!!

You can’t be serious… According to TMZ reports : TMZ has learned … Rick Ross’ private jet made an emergency landing in Birmingham, Alabama, 2 hours ago, en route to his concert in Memphis … and we found out he suffered another seizure. It’s the second time today where a plane in which the rapper was a passenger made an emergency landing. We broke the story … Rick suffered a seizure this morning on a Delta flight that returned to the Ft. Lauderdale airport. Rick went to the hospital, was released, and then took off at 5:07 PM ET from Ft. Lauderdale to make his concert tonight in Memphis. But at 5:44 PM CDT, the plane was diverted and landed in Birmingham after Rick had a seizure on board. Rick is currently in a Birmingham hospital emergency room. We do not know his condition. Before Rick took off from Ft. Lauderdale, he tweeted a video showing he was ok. Rick was supposed to be on stage in Memphis at 7:30 PM ET. UPDATE: We’ve just confirmed with the hospital that Rick is in STABLE condition. Despite Rozay being a lil snippy with our Jonesy we’re sending up prayers that he makes a speedy recovery. Take care of yourself y’all. Isht is REAL!

After news broke that Rick Ross had an emergency on his flight to Memphis, it turns out that Rozay has emerged from the seizure unscathed. Good to see that he’s okay. Now, let’s get him as healthy as possible. Our hearts can’t take these close calls!
