Taylor Swift "Shut the Eff Up" Remark Not About Harry Styles, Ed Sheeran Insists

Taylor Swift’s infamous “shut the f–k up” comment at the MTV Video Music Awards was not actually about Harry Styles, her friend Ed Sheeran says. Sheeran said in an interview that Swift’s “STFU” remark , caught on camera as the One Direction singer was speaking, looked bad, but was not what you think. It was not aimed at her ex, but at her best friend Selena Gomez, who said seconds earlier that she thought Miley Cyrus was going to win Best Pop Video. In response to that comment, Sheeran says, Taylor Swift told her to “Shut the f–k up” as a means of saying Gomez will win the award (which she did). Sheeran added that Swift came up to him after realizing this blew up online and explained what happened with Selena, noting that “I messed up.” So … Taylor is not a vindictive ex, but rather a good friend? Not as good for celebrity gossip , but better for society!

According to The Daily Mail, the romance between Selena Gomez and George Shelley is set to officially begin, with the former reportedly leaving the latter a recent video message that said the following: “Hey, George, it’s Selena. I was in London for a bit and I’m bummed I missed you so next time give me call.” George Shelley and Selena Gomez to Date? The Union J singer tells the newspaper that he was “gob-smacked” by Gomez’s words and plans to take her on a beach date in Lisbon next month. “We could have a little bonfire,” Shelley says , clearing hoping sparks fly between the young artists. There has been rumors that Shelley was dating 22-year old singer Jesy Nelson, but he cleared those up for the publication and made it clear his sights are only set on Selena: “Jesy is one of my best mates. We’re really close. Jesy wouldn’t be at all annoyed if I met up with Selena – she’d probably want to come too.” SOUNDS HOT!

Enjoy her while you can, concert attendees. You won’t be seeing Selena Gomez on stage again any time in the near future. During a press conference for The Getaway on August 21, Gomez told reporters that “this is my last record for a while. I’m going to tour it and then I’m going to just kind of get into acting for a really long period of time, hopefully.” With a laugh, though, the 21-year old added: “I’m a woman so I change my mind all the time.” Still, it’s clear the toll touring takes on Selena. And she did take off as a celebrity via acting, starring in Disney’s Wizards of Waverly Place from 2007 to 2012 before hitting the big screen in Ramona and Beezus ; Monte Carlo ; and Spring Breakers . Gomez kicked off her latest tour in Vancouver last week and much was made over her sexy outfits . We understand if the young star wants to focus on acting, but let’s hope this isn’t the last we’ve seen of Selena Gomez Twerking . The girl can shake it!
