On Monday (October 17), Gaga and Mars were announced as the latest performers at the November 6 show, which takes place in Belfast, Ireland. Selena Gomez will host the event, which will also include performances from the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Coldplay, LMFAO and Jessie J . Presenters include MTV stars Snooki and JWoww from “Jersey Shore,” as well as “Awkward.” actress Ashley Rickards. Gaga is up for six awards , including Best Female, Best Live Act, Best Pop Act, Best Song and Best Video for “Born This Way.” She scored the sixth nom in the Biggest Fans category, an honor she’ll share with her Little Monsters if she wins. Mars is tied with Katy Perry for four noms at the show; he’s up for Best Song and Best Pop for “Grenade,” along with Best Male and Best New. I guess Selena Gomez is hosting this year’s MTV’s EMA’s or something, I don’t know anything about it, but she did this little promo rap video thing to let us all know what’s going on. It’s alright I guess, I’m not sure I’m into the annoying rapper version of herself, but the hottie in the tiny short shorts dancing around all sexy is right up my alley. Although, maybe the three of us in a classy Embassy Suite somewhere might be a good idea.

Acts join Red Hot Chili Peppers and host Selena Gomez for the November 6 show in Belfast. But on Wednesday, the European award show added some home-team stars as well with the announcement that Coldplay and Jessie J would also be taking the stage at the 18th annual awards blowout. The Dublin-based broadcast will also up the ante with a visit from ultimate party rock starters LMFAO , who were added to the roster of performers as well. “I can’t quite believe I’m nominated for three awards. It’s like a dream, I keep pinching myself. And being nominated for Best U.K./Ireland Act alongside artists like Adele, Coldplay, Kasabian and Florence is an honor,” Jessie J said of her heavy presence at the show. Along with LMFAO, she’ll be making her EMA debut on the broadcast, which will premier on Tr3s: MTV, Musica y Mas at 6 p.m. ET on November 6 and 12 p.m. ET on mtvU on November 7. Selena Gomez is hosting the program and Lady Gaga tops the nominees list with six EMA nods. Katy Perry and Bruno Mars are just behind with four noms each; Adele, Justin Bieber and Thirty Seconds to Mars are each up for three. Gaga is up for Best Female, Best Live Act, Best Pop Act, Best Song and Best Video for “Born This Way.” She scored the sixth nom in the Biggest Fans category, an honor she’ll share with her Little Monsters if she wins. American and Canadian audiences can vote for the North American nominee for the Worldwide Act award, who will represent the continent at the EMA against contenders from across the globe. The couple shared the stage as Bieber performed in Rio de Janeiro, his second night in the city on his My World Tour . As if debuting his Christmas single, “Mistletoe,” wasn’t enough of a present for his Brazilian fans, they got the chance to see the teen pop couple perform together. Bieber teased the performance in the hours leading up to his big show, tweeting , “Had a lil fun last night in RIO … show #2 in RIO is 2nite … got some very special guests with me 2nite. #Mistletoe.” He later added, “Hearing @CobraStarship killing it out there … almost time RIO … i got a big surprise tonight. #BRAZIL #myworldtour.” Footage from the performance shows Bieber walking offstage as Gomez comes out to sing her song “Who Says.” Toward the end of the song, Bieber returned to sing a few lines, and the pair embraced before Gomez exited the stage. Bieber later tweeted, “RIO!!! CRAZY!! thanks to @selenagomez for helping me do something special for the crowd. a duet never hurt nobody. WHO SAYS.” OK! magazine reports that Tuesday, the pair was spotted touring the city and taking a helicopter ride. On Wednesday night, Gomez was photographed backstage watching her boyfriend perform. Bieber’s next tour stop is Sao Paolo. While rocking South America, Bieber announced he’s releasing the official version of his single earlier than originally planned: “Thanks to all the love ITUNES is now releasing #MISTLETOE early … now coming #OCT17th !!! spread the world … we r going for our first #1!!” he tweeted. His November 1 holiday album, Under the Mistletoe, will feature appearances from Boyz II Men, Mariah Carey, Busta Rhymes, Usher and the Band Perry. Now, three other gossip rags are getting in on the action, proving the following, supposed scoops: In Touch Weekly claims that Leal is having Kutcher’s love child.
