Epic Damon Lindelof Interview Chronicles His Prometheus Journey With Ridley Scott

Kevin Pollak’s highly entertaining and extremely long The Kevin Pollak Chat Show invited on screenwriter Damon Lindelof and allowed him to monologue freely about Star Trek , Cowboys & Aliens , and — perhaps most notably — working with Ridley Scott on Prometheus , and how the film relates to Scott’s seminal sci-fi work. If this show weren’t so damn intoxicating, it might’ve been a chore to get to the Alien(s) -related story. Fortunately, that’s not the case. Full transcription and video after the jump.

Is Joel Edgerton Bourne to Replace Matt Damon? [UPDATE: Nope]

Sinister news in the rumor yard, dear teens: Since Matt Damon ditched the series, Aussie actor Joel Edgerton (of Animal Kingdom ) may be cast as an agent named Martin who was part of a Treadstone-like program in the upcoming Bourne Legacy . Director Tony Gilroy reportedly wants Edgerton for the role, but the studio is concerned about his fame level and potential to star in the concurrently filmed Snow White movie (now that Hugh Jackman has dropped out). I’m personally ready for a female Bourne. Is it too late to suggest Marion Cotillard? In a flak jacket? And sensible trousers? UPDATE : Our pal Jeremy Renner got the part! [ Deadline ]
