Fox is apparently casting its upcoming programming lot with the First Family of Reality Television. With Khloe Kardashian on board as The X Factor co-host, Deadline now reports that Kris Jenner is in discussions with Twentieth Television to host her very own talk show. Try not to squeal too loudly in excitement… According to the report, the show could enjoy a test run on various Fox affiliates as early as this summer. Jenner does have experience in the talk show realm. She has co-hosted The Talk and also the fourth hour of The Today Show . In the past, Wendy Williams and Bethenny Frankel have both tested new talk shows for six-week summer runs, and each got picked up soon after. So… would you watch a Kris Jenner talk show? Sesame Street is far from happy with President Barack Obama’s new campaign ad, saying he uses Big Bird to go after Mitt Romney without PBS’ permission. Obama Big Bird Ad The Obama campaign released the above ad after last week’s presidential debate , mocking challenger Romney’s vow to fire Big Bird / cut off funding to PBS. The ad portrays Big Bird as an enemy of America, a greed-monger arch-criminal towering over the likes of Bernie Madoff and Ken Lay. PBS? Not pleased. Sesame Workshop released a statement saying, “We have approved no campaign ads, and as is our general practice, have requested that the ad be taken down.” The show’s creators say “Sesame Workshop is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization and we do not endorse candidates or participate in political campaigns.” Obama’s camp says they are reviewing SW’s concerns as we speak. In the film, called “Songs of War,” detainees at the U.S. Naval base have been forced to wear headphones blaring Sesame Street music on repeat. All in the name of messing with them so badly that they’ll talk. Al Jazeera World – Songs of War The award-winning Sesame Street composer Christopher Cerf (2:00 mark above) tells Al Jazeera, “My first reaction was ‘this just can’t possibly be true.'” “I didn’t care for the idea that I was helping break down prisoners, but it was much worse when I heard later that they were actually using the music in Guantanamo for long-term interrogations and obviously to inflict pain on prisoners so they would talk.” Wow.
