Source: Gary Gershoff / Getty Brittney Taylor’s Lawyer Addresses Remy Ma After several weeks of folks speculating whether she did it or not, Remy Ma decided to turn herself in to police custody after allegedly socking Love & Hip Hop Brittney Taylor in the face during an Irving Plaza cancer benefit concert in New York last month. According to Remy’s lawyer, Dawn Florio, the rapper has an alibi for why she couldn’t have been the one to attack Brittney at the show. “That is a complete impossibility because at 9:30 p.m … she was at home nursing her 4-month-old. My client denies these allegations; these are false allegations.” But on Thursday, both Britney’s mother and attorney had a message for Ms. Ma (real name Reminisce Smith) when they spoke to the press about the incident. Taylor’s lawyer proclaimed: “Remy Ma has been charged criminally with assault and harassment. This is serious. This is real life, not reality television.” Brittney’s mom, Karen Taylor added: “I am just here to support my daughter. I believe that it is a very unfortunate situation on both parties. However, my daughter was assaulted.” Since turning herself in on Wednesday, Remy has been released on $1,500 bail. Her lawyer, Dawn, says Rem is currently on parole until July 31 and added that Remy has had a perfect record until this. Thoughts?
Well, folks, another season of The Bachelorette is just around the corner. And if you’re anything like us, you can’t wait to see Hannah Brown find love among her 32 suitors. Hannah has the honor of anchoring a milestone season for the show. This is the series’ 15th go-round, and to celebrate, host Chris Harrison sat down with all of the former Bachelorettes. Well … almost all of the former Bachelorettes. When this photo appeared on Harrison’s official Instagram account, fans were quick to point a pair of surprising absences. Two of the OG three stars of the show — Meredith Phillips from season two and Jen Schefft from season three — were nowhere to be found. Fans — at least the ones who have been watching long enough to remember those two — immediately wanted to know what was going on. The pic was posted just days after we learned that two suitors were booted from Hannah’s season prior to filming due to allegations of inappropriate behavior. So was there any such scandal surrounding Jen and Meredith’s absence? Well, if you’re hoping for something juicy, we’re afraid we have some bad news. The ladies were apparently absent due to a boring old scheduling conflict. “Unfortunately Jen and Meredith couldn’t be there because we had to settle on a date,” Harrison told E! News. “At the end of the day, we had to shoot this thing,” he added. “So, we just picked a day where we could get as many as we possibly could, but unfortunately schedules, vacations, was one of them, just couldn’t be changed. “And we just had to pull the trigger and do this thing.” Of course, there might be more to the story than Harrison is letting on. Schefft is now a married mother of two who has made a point of avoiding the spotlight in recent years. Conversely, Phillips came forward last year and alleged that she was sexually assaulted by a masseuse during the filming of her season. She has not spoken publicly about whether or not that incident impacted her decision to avoid the reunion taping. In any event, Harrison says he’s pleased with the turnout: “I was grateful that we had as many as we did, which was 12 of the 14,” he tells E! “Obviously [new Bachelorette] Hannah [Brown] is not a part of it, she’s shooting the show.” As for Jen and Meredith, Chris says they have not been forgotten: “Jen and Meredith are represented, they’re celebrated in this thing, we love them very much and they’re a part of our family and this sisterhood, but they just couldn’t join us,” he says. If you're a Teen Mom 2 fan who spends any time at all on social media, then you're probably aware that new rumors about the cast pop about at the rate of about a dozen every hour or so. As a result, we've pretty much heard it all over the years. And yet somehow, we still didn't see this one coming. As you may know, Kailyn Lowry and Leah Messer are close friends — so perhaps it was inevitable that fans would eventually claim they're more than just friends. Is it a stupid rumor? Almost certainly. And yet, those who support claim say there's plenty of proof. Take a look: 1. Leah & Kail The friends recently traveled to Costa Rica together. Leah posted this pic from the trip, along with a caption reading, “My girl bad, badder than yours.” 2. Selfie Queens Kailyn and Leah have posted plenty of selfies together in the past. But for some reason, the Costa Rica pics have prompted endless rumors. 3. Vacay PDA Perhaps it’s the obvious affection these two have for each other. But for whatever reason, Messer and Lowry’s vacation pics have fans convinced their more than friends. 4. Up Close and Personal First, fans wanted Kail and Leah to star in their own spinoff. Now, it seems they want these two to get married. 5. Rocking Out Clearly, these two had a blast in Costa Rica. And they seem to be in no hurry to shut down rumors about the nature of their relationship. 6. TM2 BFFs Sure, they might occasionally find it annoying that some people believe two grown women can’t just be platonic friends. We’ve been hearing rumors about the rivalry for months and months. Meghan Markle hates Kate Middleton! Prince Harry hates Prince William! Prince William is having an affair with Rose Hanbury ! Okay, that last one isn’t relevant to the story down below… it just seems constantly relevant to anything Royal Family related these days. Overall, there has seemingly been tension for nearly a year between Markle, Harry, Kate and William, often referred to as The Core Royal Four, at least around our offices here at The Hollywood Gossip. Markle and Harry have even moved out of London, presumably to get far away from their annoying foes. And chatter has it that they may move even farther away at some point down the line. Like, all the way to Africa . Has this feud been blown out of proportion? Perhaps. But fans are now causing quite a viral uproar because Markle and Harry just unfollowed Kate and William on Instagram. Holy crap, right?!? Actually, no. Wrong. Back in April, Markle and Harry joined this social media platform via their very own “SussexRoyal” account. At the time, the future mom and dad followed the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, as well as other family members, including Princess Eugenie. However, this page suddenly only follows 16 other Instagram users, causing many global citizens to wonder what the heck is going on. It must be a sign of a major issue between the aforementioned Royal Quartet, doesn’t it? Again: No. It’s a sign of something admirable and impressive. Explains Meghan and Harry of why their Instagram account looks different today than it did yesterday: “May is Mental Health Awareness Month in the US and May 13-19 is Mental Health Awareness Week in the UK. “To pay tribute to all of the incredible work people across the globe are doing in this space, we are hoping to shine a light on several Instagram accounts that promote mental well-being, mental fitness, body positivity, self-care, and the importance of human connection – to not just hear each other, but to listen.” Oh. So the 16 accounts they’re following right now are in some way related to mental health? That’s pretty awesome. “We are all in this together,” the couple assured. “We invite you to explore the extraordinary stories of strength, and the commitment to kindness as seen in the above accounts.” This actually could be an issue that brings Markle and Middleton together, helping them bury whatever hatchet has been sitting between them. Kate, as you may very well know, has long been an advocate of mental health assistance , giving many speeches on the topic. As for Markle and Harry, it sounds as if they plan to use their social media for the greater good on a constant basis. This may mean a small number of Royal Baby photos once their little girl or boy is born — but a large number of organizations helped around the world. “Each month we will honor this same concept and change the accounts we solely follow based on a different theme or cause,” they added today in a statement. “Please go to our homepage and click ‘following’ to see each of the select accounts and find out more about their work.” The SussexRoyal account has over 5.4 million followers. It really is very cool that Meghan and Harry plan to use the account in this manner, don’t you agree? One might say it sets a great example for their baby-to-be, as here’s a look at their latest Instagram post: Markle is due to give birth any day now. She is officially on maternity leave and not making any public appearances. While pretty much everyone with a pulse is wondering what the couple will name its child , we’re just hoping that Markle has a safe delivery and a healthy baby. Ashley Greene is one of the forgotten ones from Twilight, who I don’t even think had a main part in Twilight, but who was able to leverage Twilight to the paparazzi like she mattered. She also dated a Jonas brother when they were still Disney TWINKS and had to pretend that they all had purity rings to fight pre-marital sex, an interesting angle but it was before porn went mainstream…. So there was a minute of her having a lot of hype, then she disappeared but I guess found social media, and like all 35 year olds on social media found an app to blend out her old haggard face….only she’s not veery good at that app and virtually erased her damn face…. Jana Kramer and husband Mike Caussin aren’t afraid to speak their minds. No matter what. Whether they’re discussing hot nannies , Mike’s sex addiction, or the struggles of parenthood — they love opening up about (what they believe are) the “hot topics” of today on the Whine Down with Jana Kramer podcast. And then there’s the couple’s latest target — Danny Amendola and Olivia Culpo’s messy split. In the NFL player’s recent social media rant , which we’re still not over — and apparently, neither is Mike and Jana — Olivia Culpo got slammed by her ex-boyfriend after she was spotted getting close with Zedd at Coachella. “I believe there should be a boundary btw private life and social media. Olivia believes in fishbowl lifestyle,” Danny wrote. The Detroit Lions wide receiver explained what he meant by saying: “Olivia chooses and wants to be noticed on the internet and in Hollywood to make money. Which was hard for [me] to understand but quickly had to learn.” Called! Out! The post has since been deleted, and he even blamed his outburst on a “miscommunication.” But the attack was enough to gain major headlines and obviously enough to spark a conversation on iHeartRadio’s latest episode, where both Jana and her husband weighed in on the drama. Caussin, 32, isn’t buying that excuse. “Miscommunication, my ass,” he said. The NFL alum declared on Monday, April 29, “He said what he said. He was either drunk or just angry and typed away.” “And here’s the deal,” he continued. “I don’t understand. They’ve been on and off for a couple of years or whatever it is.” “I don’t know their whole history but Olivia Culpo has clearly been a climber.” “Look at her dating history,” Mike shared. “She’s dated Tim Tebow. She’s dated Ryan Lochte. She dated Nick Jonas. She dated Danny. Now she’s talking to Zedd.” Kramer, 35, immediately realized her husband was being slightly insulting and backed up Culpo. Kind of. “Are you saying she’s famous for dating celebrities?” she asked. Mike added, “What else has she done?” Olivia, who won the title of Miss Universe in 2012 (so she’s obviously gifted), has stayed quiet regarding her ex’s backlash. And while Danny makes it clear that Olivia obviously cares a lot about how she is viewed by the public eye, Jana admitted that they don’t know their whole story until they hear her side. “Who knows because we don’t have her side of the story, but I can see why you think she is a social climber,” Jana explained. Mike chimed in, again, adding that these social media problems aren’t just for celebrities, but that ordinary couples can face similar discussions. “I will say any relationship — whether it’s a public one like this or even a private one where there aren’t celebrities — there’s some people that are like, ‘Why aren’t you posting about me? Why aren’t you posting a picture on Facebook or social media?'” “Regardless of celebrity or not, I’ve experienced and seen people like that where they want to be part of your life more or post more,” Mike said. Jana and Mike open up a lot about their own relationship as much as they sound in on others. Last month on the podcast they revealed that Mike had a “massive” relapse in his sex addiction about a year prior, with Jana saying her husband did “something he should not have done.” “We’re just happy that someone didn’t show up,” she told her listeners. “I showed up at the hotel instead.” The couple has been married since 2015 and shares two adorable children together: daughter Jolie, 3, and son Jace, 5 months. Even though the two more times than not get criticized for their “offensive” conversations — their true listeners love their raw and candid talks. At the end of the day — this mom is just trying to have a glass of wine and vent. And can’t we all relate to that?!
