They also asked them about their marijuana usage and if they partook in some MJ prior to bedroom fun. “Among those who reported using marijuana before sex, 68.5 percent stated that the overall sexual experience was more pleasurable, 60.6 percent noted an increase in sex drive, and 52.8 percent reported an increase in satisfying orgasms,” the authors of the report explain. Atlanta-Based Business Owner Aims To Address Poverty Through Entrepreneurship

A Black business owner from Atlanta is aiming to help individuals combat poverty through entrepreneurship. Velma Trayham , the creator and CEO of the marketing agency ThinkZILLA PR & Consulting Group, has launched a new small business program to help those faced with financial setbacks start their own ventures, Black News reported. Trayham was inspired to create the Pioneer program after witnessing the impact of the recent government shutdown, the news outlet writes. After seeing people struggle to make ends meet, she was inspired to empower them and show them ways in which they can have control over their financial future by becoming entrepreneurs. Through the intensive program, participants will learn how to create everything from business models to marketing plans and other lessons needed to successfully grow a business. For Trayham it’s all about breaking the cycle of poverty. “Entrepreneurs can change the way they live and work – and inspire others to do the same. Innovations created by small businesses can improve the quality of life, creating personal success as well as create communities that are more prosperous,” she said in a statement. “When people find success doing something they love and believe in, they have the power and capacity to help others do the same. I appreciate the mentors who helped me early in my career and am dedicated to helping others find their passion in business, reduce the causes of poverty, and creating a chain effect of business support and success.” The program kicks off in Atlanta on March 30 and she plans on taking it to cities that include Washington, D.C., Houston, and Orlando. There has been an effort to support Black entrepreneurs. MVMT50 and The New Voices fund recently teamed up to host a pitch competition dubbed PITCH BLACK as an avenue to address the obstacles that Black women face when stepping into entrepreneurship, including the lack of access to capital. Changa Bell , the creator of the Black Male Yoga Initiative, is helping Black men heal from trauma through yoga, ABC News reported. It wasn’t until Bell had a health setback in his adulthood when he decided to incorporate it into his daily life. Heavy smoking and drinking led Bell to have a serious heart condition which could have required him to wear a pacemaker. That’s when he knew that it was time to change his lifestyle for the better and started to practice yoga. Bell realized that there weren’t enough safe spaces for Black men to practice wellness and that’s when his yoga journey became bigger than himself. “Black men in particular were being isolated by the yoga community. We’re marketed as over-sexualized, hyper-violent, hyper-masculine,” said Bell. “I wanted to make a huge welcome sign that said, ‘You’re welcome here and come and heal.’” The Black Male Yoga Initiative has proven to be impactful. Many of the men who attend Bell’s sessions say that they have been life-changing. “Trauma is deeply intertwined in our existence. We get to express it here,” said one of the members. “Yoga brings balance. It puts everything I’ve ever went through into perspective.” There are several individuals who have been working towards creating safe spaces for Black wellness.  Last year, public health advocate Kevin Dedner launched a digital platform dubbed Henry Health as an avenue to empower Black men to take charge of their mental health. Jan-Michael Vincent Dies; Airwolf Star Was 74

Jan-Michael Vincent, a veteran actor best known for his role in the 1980s action series Airwolf, has passed away from cardiac arrest. He was 74 years old. According to TMZ, which broke this sad piece of new, Vincent actually passed away back on February 10 at a North Carolina hospital. The celebrity gossip outlet adds that the actor was cremated and that no autopsy was performed. As for his acting resume, Vincent had not been seen in anything since the 2002 film White Boy. But he was an enormous star during the heyday of Airwolf, raking in the most money of any actor on television at the time at $200,000 per episode. The series centered on his helicopter pilot character of Stringfellow Hawke, yet only lasted a couple seasons (from 198 4 through 1986) because Vincent fell victim to cocaine abuse. His career would suffer from this addiction and Vincent would develop an infection in 2012 that caused his right leg to be amputated. Prior to striking it big with Airwolf, Vincent starred alongside Burt Reynolds in 1978’s Hooper and alongside Kim Basinger in 1981’s Hard Country. He was nominated for Golden Globes for his work in 1971’s Going Home and the 1983 miniseries The Winds Of War, while also enjoying a key role in John Millius’ beloved surfing drama Big Wednesday. In addition to Airwolf, Vincent appeared in a number of other TV series, such as Police Story, Gunsmoke, Bonanza, and Nash Bridges. Following his passing, a number of fans quickly jumped on social media to lament Vincent’s death, with one tweeting: “Rest in Peace Jan-Michael Vincent. “He had been in bad shape for several years, but we choose to remember him as the cool, sexy guy he was on Airwolf.” “Rest in Peace Jan-Michael Vincent. “He had been in bad shape for several years, but we choose to remember him as the cool, sexy guy he was on Airwolf.” Added screenwriter Brian Lynch: “RIP Jan-Michael Vincent.
