Not again !! Baptist Church Vandalized By KKK After Racist Deputy’s Comments Via USA Today reports: Members of Mount Olive Primitive Baptist Church in Wakulla County arrived for choir practice Wednesday night to find “KKK” spray-painted on the side of their church. It is the third predominantly black church in the rural county this week that has been vandalized with racial remarks, sparking an FBI investigation into what appear to be hate crimes. Along with two churches on Sunday, a truck at Wildwood Golf Course was also painted with “KKK.” Investigators believe the most recent vandalism happened Wednesday afternoon. Federal officers are working with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office investigating the crimes. Mount Olive is just minutes from New Bridge Hope Missionary Baptist Church and Pilgrim Rest Primitive Baptist Church, which were vandalized on Sunday. Several street signs also had “KKK” painted on them. Wakulla County NAACP Organizing Committee President Anginita Rosier said the racially charged vandalism has shocked the community, both white and black. “The whole community is in shock right now that we still have these things occurring,” she said as a member of the church painted over the letters. But the unity of the community has been reassuring. “If there’s a positive out of this negative behavior it’s really bound the citizens of this county together,” Rosier said. “It’s affected everyone to the point that everyone is anxious to see someone held accountable for these crimes.” Wakulla County Sheriff Charlie Creel said investigators cleared a suspect in Sunday’s vandalism on Wednesday, but would be pursuing three more on Thursday. The sheriff’s office had offered a $5,000 for information leading to an arrest. FBI and county investigators were on scene Wednesday night taking paint samples from the street signs and pouring plaster tire molds in a field behind the church. Creel said he is concerned by the rash of apparent hate crimes in the county, but doesn’t think it indicates a coordinated effort. “I don’t think this is an active group that the community’s got to be concerned about,” Creel said, but is instead the work of individuals looking to “stir stuff up.” “They’re cowards hiding behind a spray can,” he said. Dale Landry, vice president of the Florida State Conference of the NAACP, said the problem lies only in a few bold individuals. “We’ve got a problem in Wakulla, but I think Wakulla is rising to the occasion to deal with it,” Landry said. “I want to see (racism) disappear in my lifetime. What we’ve got to do is start working at it and combating it and exposing it.” Mount Olive Pastor Samuel Hayes said he is not deterred from leading a healing in the midst of the racial outbursts. “Any means for harm, God turns into good,” said Hayes, who has been pastor at Mount Olive for 22 years. “This is going to bring us together. I’ve run across so many wonderful people in this county. We’re a family.” The community will hold a prayer vigil on Thursday at New Bridge Hope, the venue of a contentious Nov. 28 town hall meeting following the suspension of five Wakulla County deputies over racially charged online comments. Out of pocket … Man Drives Two Trucks And An ATV Drunk A Vermont man was recently arrested after authorities say he got drunk and ran his pickup trunk off the road before going home to get his other pickup to try to retrieve it. He then drove off the road again in the second truck before returning home to get his ATV to attempt to retrieve the second truck. VT State Police reports: On 11/30/14, at approximately 2036 hours, State Police responded to Bunker Hill Rd in Pomfret to assist the Pomfret Constable with two vehicles that were off the road. During the course of that investigation, it was discovered that Dwayne Fenlason drove his pickup truck off Bunker Hill Rd and went home to get his other pickup truck to pull out his truck. Fenlason then drove off the road again with his second truck while he was enroute to the truck he drove off the road originally. Subsequently, Fenlason returned home to retrieve his ATV which he drove on the road and attempted to pull out his truck. Further investigation revealed that Fenlason was under the influence of intoxicants. Fenlason was arrested for driving under the influence and provided a preliminary breath sample of .300 % BAC at 2130 hours. Fenlason was transported to the Randolph Police Department for processing and released on a citation. SMH…this guy was obviously WASTED. Good thing he didn’t hurt anyone during his drunk driving randomness.

According to NY Daily News reports : Amber Keyes, 35, faces a charge of injury to a child for allowing her daughter Ayahna Comb, who suffered from cerebral palsy and couldn’t feed or clothe herself or move without a wheelchair, to wither away and die in January. It was only in June, when her other child and two friends were looking for a cheese stick to eat in the Houston apartment, that they found Ayahna Comb’s emaciated, blanket-wrapped remains – weighing only 14 pounds – inside the fridge, the Houston Chronicle reported . An autopsy determined the child died of malnutrition and dehydration and the death was ruled a homicide last month. “By not providing the proper parental care or seeking medical and/or professional assistance for [Ayahna’s] condition, the defendant caused injury to [Ayahna] by omission, which led to the death of [Ayahna] due to neglect,” authorities wrote in Keyes’ charging documents, obtained by the Chronicle. Keyes told authorities she panicked after Ayahna stopped breathing one night in January and tried CPR, but never called authorities after she failed to revive the frail child. Instead, she stuffed the girl into the fridge and continued to use it during the several months the body lay inside, authorities said. Keyes didn’t take the girl to the doctor for two years prior to her death and that towards her death on Jan. 29, found the girl “always difficult to feed,” the paper reported. While the body chilled for months in the fridge, Keyes continued to collect Social Security benefits in her disabled daughter’s name, she told authorities. She also lived with another young daughter, who has been taken into protective custody. Keyes previously lost custody of a third child, who was 18 months old in 2002 when child services learned her boyfriend was abusing the tot and removed the child from the Houston home. After the girl died, Keyes continued to tell the child’s father, Armand Comb, that she was still alive, he told KHOU-TV in June. He even spoke to Keyes, who pretended Ayahna was listening as Comb sang her a song. She’s still in jail, in lieu of $50K bail. Just terrible. That poor innocent, helpless little girl. Elizabeth Lauten Resigns Following Comments About Sasha And Malia Obama A GOP staffer will resign after launching a verbal assault on Malia and Sasha Obama in the wake of their appearance at the president’s annual turkey pardoning ceremony last week at the White House. Via MSNBC reports: Elizabeth Lauten, who served as a communications director for Rep. Stephen Fincher (R-Tenn.), criticized the two girls in a Facebook rant which eventually went viral. “Act like being in the White House matters to you. Dress like you deserve respect, not a spot at a bar. And certainly don’t make faces during televised, public events,” wrote Lauten. She also said that the Obama daughters, who largely stay out of the limelight, should show “a little class.” Many have argued Malia and Sasha were behaving like typical teenagers at the event. They appeared unamused by their father’s corny jokes and at one point Malia declined to pet the Thanksgiving turkey by simply saying, “Nah.” Lauten has since apologized for her post, admitting, “When I first posted on Facebook I reacted to an article and I quickly judged the two young ladies in a way that I would never have wanted to be judged myself as a teenager.” Lauten’s name became a trending topic amid the controversy, with over 22,000 mentions in 24 hours. She had previously been responsible for a gaffe this summer when she accidentally tweeted about “shagging” on Fincher’s official Twitter account. Now, her resignation is “in the works.” This is far from the first time the president’s daughters have been singled out for ridicule on the right.
