Grandfather Calls 911 On Grandson For Being Lazy Even though his grandson was lazy it’s pretty inconsiderate to call 911 for something so petty when there are people with real emergencies. According to The Smoking Gun: A 72-year-old Ohio man called 911 to report that his teenage grandson was a layabout who refused to do household chores and spent his day playing on his computer, according to a police report. Edward Friel told Lorain County Sheriff’s Office deputies that he has custody of his 17-year-old grandson Justin, whom he said was “lazy and does nothing around the house.” The elder Friel summoned police to his South Amherst home Saturday morning after asking Justin to “do some work around the house.” When the teen “continued to play on the computer,” Friel “cut the internet cable cord since he was not listening to him,” investigators reported. The teenager became incensed and punched a hole in a kitchen wall before leaving the home and walking into nearby woods. “Mr. Friel stated Justin did not threaten him but is tired of him being lazy.” No charges were filed in connection with the damage to the wall (or the boy’s laziness). Facing their final months together, they reached out to Make-A-Wish, who granted little Miley the chance to meet a celebrity of her choice. Unable to get her first wish – Justin Bieber – Hodge decided to meet pop star Miley Cyrus, but as RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned, unfortunately, the encounter didn’t go as planned! “From what I know, it was not a very good experience for them,” Brandon Deboer, a family friend, told RadarOnline.com. Another family acquaintance added: “The family went to Los Angeles and were put off for nearly a week before they met [Cyrus]. They finally met at the recording studio and from what I understand, Cyrus was more interested in what she was doing in the studio than paying attention to the little girl.” When approached for comment, Miley’s dad Bert insisted the family was “grateful for the chance to meet Cyrus in person.” “My daughter met one of her idols. Mayor Of Charlotte Resigns After Public Corruption And Bribe Charges What’s up with all these politicians getting caught with their hand in the cookie jar? According to Fox News: The mayor of Charlotte, N.C. — the state’s largest city and the site of the 2012 Democratic National Convention — resigned Wednesday hours after he was charged with federal public corruption and accused of taking bribes in an FBI sting. City spokesman Keith Richardson said Mayor Patrick Cannon submitted his resignation letter Wednesday to the city manager and attorney. The 47-year-old Cannon is accused of accepting more than $48,000 in bribes from undercover FBI agents posing as businessmen who wanted to do work with Charlotte. A criminal complaint from the U.S. Attorney says the Democrat, who has been mayor for six months, accepted cash, airline tickets, a hotel room and the use of a luxury apartment as bribes and solicited more than $1 million more. During the last encounter, according to the U.S. attorney’s office, he accepted $20,000 in cash. Cannon says in the letter that the pending charges will create too much of a distraction for the business of the city to go forward According to the U.S. attorney’s office, the FBI first learned that he may have been involved in illegal activities years ago and started an investigation in 2010. If convicted on all the charges, he faces 20 years in prison and more than $1 million in fines. He needs to get his legal weight up… 20 years is a lot of time in the slammer.
