According to a story in the NYDailyNews , a female employee of the Jefferson City Correctional Center, Amy Murray, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder after the body of her husband Joshua Murray was found inside their burned home back in December. Miller County Sheriff Louie Gregoire told KMIZ that something about this situation didn’t smell right: “It looked suspicious,” Miller County Sheriff Louie Gregoire told KMIZ. “The sheriff’s office detectives came in with the fire marshal’s office department and started investigating it and continued from there.” Despite working in a prison, Amy isn’t too good at this criminal thing according to Lake Expo : “Several phone conversations between Amy Murray and Eugene Claypool talked about having a life now that Joshua Murray was deceased and out of the picture,” read probable cause documents obtained by Lake Expo. Expo reveals that Amy had been working to get ol’ Eugene an early release from prison as he had already served almost 20 years for fatally stabbing a 72-year-old man. THAT’S the man you want to call “husband”? A man who kills elderly people?! Guess there is a romantic connection amongst killers. SMH.

Until today, one voice we hadn’t heard was that of Shawn Corey Carter, but it wasn’t much of a mystery as to what side of this issue he would fall. Today, the Roc Nation head honcho not only released a statement but according to TMZ he also put his money in the mouth that the statement came from and hired lawyer Alex Spiro to help Savage. Jay described the arrest as “an absolute travesty” and went on to say that “In addition to being a successful recording artist, 21 deserves to be reunited with his children immediately.” We couldn’t agree more. Obviously, 21 isn’t a Roc Nation artist, but that didn’t stop Hov from doing what he could to help the father, son, and one of hip-hop’s brightest stars. Alex Spiro is dedicated to seeing the man born Shéyaa Bin Abraham-Joseph free: “We are not going to stop until he is released, bonded out or in front of a judge … What we have here is someone who overstayed their Visa with an application pending for 4 years – not a convicted criminal that needs to be detained and removed but, by all accounts a wonderful person, father, and entertainer who has a marijuana offense which was vacated and sealed.” If you can’t respect that, ya whole perspective is wack and that’s that on that.

Henson is getting unceremoniously dragged for a comment she made on her IG story about Harvey Weinstein. The star who’s receiving her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame January 28 offered a surprising reaction to the current R. Kelly criticism. Earlier today Taraji posted on her IG story a comparison between the singer and the embattled former film producer that’s got people talking. “Checking on these #mute for a friend,” wrote Taraji. She then looked up the numerous #MuteRKelly hashtags before typing in #MuteWeinstein which only had one post. She obviously felt like she hit fans with the Big Joker because she then went back and searched #MuteHarveyWeinstein to prove that that hashtag too had little to no use. Unfortunately for Taraji, Harvey’s not a recording artist so it would make sense that there aren’t a flurry of “mute” posts in full swing for him.
