The long, in-depth search has finally come to an end. Deadline confirms that Rosie Perez and Nicolle Wallace have been chosen as new panelists on The View. Both will make their first appearances in this capacity on the September 15 season premiere. Perez is a veteran movie actress who we adored in White Men Can’t Jump; while Wallace served as communications director for George W. Bush. They will succeed former co-hosts Sherri Shepherd and Jenny McCarthy , who exited last month, and join Rosie O’Donnell and Whoopi Goldberg at the table of the ABC talk show. Wallace had been one of the rumored names for this position for awhile, but Perez is considered an unexpected choice. She did guest host the program back in February, however. And she has made arrangements to do The View while also starring on Broadway opposite Larry David this fall. What do you think of Perez and Wallace on The View? Yay for Rosie! Yay for Nicolle!
