The Situation’s ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Skills: Ronnie Weighs In

‘Mike has legs, so does a chair — it doesn’t mean the chair can dance, right?’ ‘Jersey Shore’ castmate quips. By Eric Ditzian Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and his partner Karina Smirnoff on “Dancing With The Stars” Photo: ABC Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino barely escaped with his reality-show life Tuesday evening on “Dancing With the Stars.” Only Michael Bolton and his gangly jive saved Sitch’s hide from elimination, as the “Jersey Shore” star will live to toe-tap another week. Perhaps the Situation has one of his castmates to thank, because Ronnie has vowed to vote for his roommate — regardless of his actual dancing talents. “I’m going to support him in every way,” Ronnie told MTV News. “I’m going to send him a text, the vote text. I’ll vote for Mike. “I’ll send, like, three texts — it’s like $1.50,” he added with a sly smile. “How much you really want me to spend on you, Mike?” On second thought, the Situation might want to hold off on a thank-you and tell Ronnie to start texting votes with the same enthusiasm he reserved for flirting with Jell-O-shot-serving waitresses early this season on “Shore.” But Ronnie might not be so convinced Mike has what it takes to win “DWTS.” “Mike has legs, so does a chair — it doesn’t mean the chair can dance, right?” Ronnie reasoned. Ouch. Ronnie’s off-and-on gal pal Sammi was considerably more kind when we asked her about the Situation’s skills. “He can’t really dance, but I know he can fist-pump,” she said during an earlier interview. “We’ll support him,” Vinny told us. And that’s exactly what Ronnie made clear to us too. After all the good-natured razzing he threw the Situation’s way, he told us he’ll be pulling for his roomie to win. “I know he’s going to try his best and do the best of his ability, and he’s going to represent the ‘Jersey Shore’ family,” he said. Are you rooting for the Situation on “Dancing With the Stars”? Let us know in the comments! Don’t miss “Jersey Shore” every Thursday at 10 p.m. ET/PT on MTV. ‘Jersey Shore’ High Five: Vinny Fails Dating Math

We look back at the five best moments from this week’s episode. By Jim Cantiello Vinny and Paulie D on “Jersey Shore” Photo: MTV We can’t wait for “Jersey Shore” season 45, when the Situation will no doubt begin to resemble Vinny’s Uncle Nino! But for now, we’ll have to settle for the top five moments from this week’s episode. 5. Ain’t Too Proud to Beg The J-Shore boys talk a lot about game, and this week Vinny taught us a new technique in securing dates: beg like a pathetic dog. Ramona said it was “cute” when Vin’s invitation to dinner went like this: “It’s just dinner. Please, please, please, pretty please?” But we’re pretty sure you’re supposed to whisper sweet nothings in girls ears, not whimper. 4. The Ho Equation The aftermath of Vinny and Angelina’s hookup was felt throughout the house. It even made the Situation do math. “You have proven an equation that people have been trying to solve for hundreds of years,” he reasoned. “That when you are nice to a girl, when you take her on four dates, you snuggle with the girl, you buy her gifts, she will not call you. She will play you the f— out. And then she will f— somebody three days later when she’s drunk, with somebody that she hates! Angelina has proven the ho equation!” Yes, the ho equation. Bringing new meaning to the law of syllogism . 3. JWoww’s Mouth Party We’d like to offer $5 goes to anyone who can explain what the hell JWoww was doing with her mouth in the scene that we’ve replayed 20 times already. Fascinating 2. The Italian Feast Vinny’s family came to visit, so you know what that means: home-cooked goodness from Mama Vinny! But like many a good “Top Chef” contestant, Vinny’s mom had a weakness. “And then there’s dessert,” the Situation recalled. “We got milk and we got yodels!” They always crash and burn with the desserts. Always. Vinny’s mom? Please pack your knives and go. 1. The Situation’s Sandwich Pauly booty-called a classy young woman at 6 a.m., and she was supposed to bring along a honey for the Situation. But when she showed up solo, the Sitch was forced to sit this round out. Luckily, he had snacks. What were your high five moments from this week’s “Jersey Shore”? Share them in the comments. ‘Jersey Shore’ Star Vinny Wants To Meet Selena Gomez ‘If She’s 18’

Vinny tries to make a date with the Disney star at the VMAs. By Jocelyn Vena, with additional reporting by James Montgomery Selena Gomez attends the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards Photo: Jeffrey Mayer/WireImage The VMAs are a place for celebrities to meet up or perhaps meet for the first time. For instance, Justin Bieber got the chance to catch up with pals Katy Perry and Rihanna. So, when MTV News caught up with Vinny from “Jersey Shore” on the VMA white carpet, we asked who he wanted to meet at the big show. He told us he had his sights set on one Disney princess. ” Selena Gomez ,” Vinny said, quickly adding, “if she’s 18.” Lucky for Vinny, Gomez turned 18 earlier this year. However, Vinny may not be happy to hear Gomez’s reaction to his flirtatious advances. “I am [a big ‘Jersey Shore’ fan],” she said. When told that the “Jersey Shore” star wanted to meet her “if she’s 18,” she replied, “Tonight, I’m not 18! My mom would kill me! I will say I am a very big fan though, a very big fan, and I do look forward to meeting them, but that’s as far as it goes.” While Vinny’s dream to meet Gomez may not have come to fruition, an exclusive clip from this season of “Jersey Shore” debuted during the VMAs, and it seems that Snooki and Angelina don’t share the same polite admiration for each other that Selena and Vinny have for one another. In the clip, drama ensues after a guy Snooki brought home seems to gravitate to or get hit on by Angelina. Snooki explains that it’s not the first time she and Angelina have both pursued the same guy. The spat prompts Angelina to vent her feelings about the entire cast. “I don’t give a f— about anybody in this house. All of yous in this house are f—ing fake. And I want you all to know that I can’t stand any of yous. Fake mother—-ers, all of you.” The Moonmen have all been handed out and the stars have gone home, but there’s plenty of 2010 MTV Video Music Awards news, interviews, behind-the-scenes scoop, party reports and more still to come, so keep it locked on MTVNews.com.
