Maria Menounos is on the road to recovery after having surgery to remove a golf-ball-size meningioma brain tumor. The 39-year-old underwent the surgery while her mother, Litsa Menounos, battled stage 4 brain cancer. The E! News coanchor confirmed the news to People Magazine. “This February I thought I had an ear infection, so I went to a doctor, and he said, ‘Your ears are the cleanest things I’ve ever seen. What else are you feeling?'” “I’d been getting light-headed on-set and having headaches.” “My speech had gotten slurred, and I was having difficulty reading the teleprompter.” “I said, ‘I know you’re going to think I’m crazy, but I think I have a brain tumor like my mom,’” Maria continued. “He said, ‘I don’t think you’re crazy. Let’s just get an MRI.'” “The next week I started feeling better, so I was like, ‘I’m clearly paranoid.’ So I kept pushing the MRI.” Fast forward three months and the tumor has been removed. The tumor was revealed not to be cancerous, and her prognosis is hopeful. Maria has decided to give up her role within E! News to recover and allow herself to think about the next chapter of her life. Stevie Ryan, an actress and comedian best known in gossip circles for her lengthy feud with Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans , has passed away. Ryan was just 33 years old. Details are still scarce, but police investigating the tragedy are describing Ryan’s death as an apparent suicide by hanging. The shocking news comes just one week after Stevie publicly shared her grief over the death of her grandfather. “I’m just worried that this is going to send me into a deeper depression,” Ryan stated on a recent episode of her podcast. After moving to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career at the age of 19, Ryan unexpectedly found success through her YouTube channel. Specifically, through her signature character, Little Loca. Ryan eventually carved out a niche when she started poking fun at celebrities, going viral with a number of spot-on impressions. Ryan told The Hollywood Reporter in 2012: “I remember waking up and one Little Loca video had like 900 hits and I was like ‘Oh, my gosh. There’s people watching this?’” “And it just kept going and then I did this Paris Hilton thing and then it literally was just growing and growing.” “And I just became so obsessed with all of it.” Ryan landed a VH1 sketch series entitled Stevie TV in 2012 but despite critical acclaim, the show lasted only one season. She went on to host Brody Jenner’s short-lived E! series, Sex With Brody . That series also lasted only one season (2015). But it was her riffs on the Teen Mom phenomenon and its cast members that gained Ryan the most attention on social media. Ryan mocked Farrah Abraham , Jenelle Evans, and others in a fashion that made her popular with many fans of the franchise. On the flip side, it made her roundly despised by some of the show’s stars, who failed to see the humor in what she was doing. At one point, Ryan publicly shared a series of flirtatious texts that she had received from Evans’ then-boyfriend Nathan Griffith. Today, the 25-year-old Evans spoke out on social media after receiving word of Ryan’s death, acknowledging their feud. “I know we pretty much hated each other but I’m sorry you had to go so soon pretty girl,” Jenelle tweeted. Other Teen Mom stars have yet to publicly address Ryan’s death, but we suspect we’ll be hearing from more of them in due time. As is to be expected amid such tragedy, thousands of tributes from fans of the gifted comic have already poured in on Twitter. Are you familiar with the DaddyOFive Youtube account and all of the insane drama surrounding it? If not, then sit back and prepare to be infuriated. DaddyOFive is a YouTube account belonging to Mike and Heather Martin, a Maryland couple who enjoys pranking their five children. Which sounds fine, right? Some good old-fashioned family fun , readily available for us to enjoy. But if you watch the videos — Mike’s deleted them all from his account, but other users have reposted them — you’ll see that the kids are not having fun. Far from it. For an example of the kind of people we’re talking about here, check out this video in which Heather decides to “prank” nine-year-old Cody by spilling disappearing ink all over some carpet. The idea is that she’ll blame Cody for the spill, freak him out a little, then reveal that it’s all a joke. But the execution … it’s actually pretty hard to watch. DaddyOFive Parents Prank Kids with Disappearing Ink She and Mike scream and curse at poor Cody and one of their other sons for four straight minutes, so much that the boys are left hysterical before learning that it was all meant to be a joke. Pretty twisted joke, really. In other videos, Mike destroys Cody’s X-Box with a sledgehammer as the boy cries, he pushes Cody down, and he follows Cody around with a camera as the poor little boy screams and begs him to leave him alone. In recent weeks, people have started paying a lot of attention to the family, even going so far as to create an online petition urging Maryland authorities to investigate Mike and Heather for child abuse. When the controversy first began, the Martins shrugged it off, making a since-deleted video about it all in which Mike said “This is how we run our house. This is our family.” Heather added that they’ve already been investigated for child abuse because of their YouTube channel, but nothing came of it. But once they saw that the outrage wasn’t going away, they changed their tune a bit, releasing a tearful public apology for their behavior. “This has been the absolute worst week of our life,” Heather says in the video, “and we realized that we have made some terrible parenting decisions.” It’s a little alarming that they made all these videos, that they were able to laugh as their kids screamed and cried, and that they’re just now realizing how terrible they are, but OK. They explained that when their videos started getting views, they decided to get crazier and crazier with their pranks to get more and more viewers. And though they seem to regret the things they’ve done to the kids (or at least like they’re willing to admit they’re wrong to save face), it’s too little, too late. On Friday, Rose Hall, the biological mother of Cody and 12-year-old Emma, received emergency custody of the two children. “They’re doing good,” Rose, who lost custody of the kids in 2014 after Mike and Heather allegedly forged her signature on some custody paperwork, said in a statement. “They’re getting back to their playful selves.” She added that it’s “very heartbreaking and disturbing to see my kids abused.” It’s unclear at this point how long she’ll keep custody, but the Martins are currently being investigated for any possible crimes related to their videos. Can you believe that it's been five years since we were first introduced to Mama June and her wild and wacky family? It's true — all the way back in 2012, we saw a little girl called Honey Boo Boo on TLC's Toddlers and Tiaras. We met her family, including her mother, June, known for couponing and for her infamous “go-go juice.” (Just in case you missed this fascinating origin story, “go-go juice” is a mixture of Red Bull and Mountain Dew that June gave her kid to keep her energy up during beauty pageants.) They were so fascinating that they landed their own reality show, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, shortly after their Toddlers and Tiaras episode premiered. The show lasted for four seasons until it was abruptly canceled in 2014 after June reportedly began dating a convicted child molester . After that, the family left the spotlight for a bit, but not for too long — June and her partner, Sugar Bear, did a stint on Marriage Boot Camp. And of course she's had her new show, Mama June: From Hot to Not, in which she lost a ridiculous amount of weight and shrunk down to a size 4. It's a lot to take in, right? If you’re a Teen Mom 2 fan, then by now you’ve likely heard the news that Kailyn Lowry is pregnant with her third child . You’re probably also aware that the identity of Kailyn’s baby daddy remains a mystery. At this point, it’s anyone’s guess as to who may have knocked Kailyn up for the third time, but not surprisingly, fans have done some digging, and some likely candidates have emerged. According to online sleuths and the tabloid media, the father of Kailyn’s baby is probably either her longtime friend Tyler Hill, Teen Mom 2 producer J.C. Cueva, or a man named Chris Lopez, whom Kailyn appears to have dated shortly after parting ways with Javi Marroquin. The bulk of evidence seems to point to Lopez being the father , and a new clue may have confirmed that theory. According to Radar Online, in an Instagram live stream, Kailyn appears to have let-slip the name of her baby daddy. The clip is no longer available, but those who have seen it describe it like this: Lowry and a friend are seen discussing potential baby names. Kailyn’s friend suggests naming the kid Holden, and that’s when the bomb drops: “Chris would say, ‘I’m Holden the baby!’” Kailyn joked while streaming live. Those who were watching say Kailyn covered the mic and the stream ended shortly thereafter. The clip appears to have been scrubbed from the Internet, but that hasn’t stopped fans from discussing the footage on social media. “So the dad is Chris,” one fan wrote on Kailyn’s Instagram page. “She said it was Chris, I’m pretty positive!” another commented. Reached for comment, Kailyn’s reps remained tight-lipped on the matter. Thus far, her team has yet to reveal any information with regard to the father’s identity or even as to whether or not he’ll be involved in the child’s upbringing. “We don’t know how involved the father will be,” Lowry’s manager said in a recent statement. “Kail will release that information when she’s ready.” If the description of the clip is accurate we think it’s safe to draw two conclusions: 1. Chris Lopez is indeed the father of Kailyn’s kid. 2. He and Kailyn are still friendly with one another, at the very least.
