Mo Money: T-Pain’s Former Manager Is Accusing Him Of Wasting Millions Of Dollars

Source: Bravo / Getty T-Pain’s Ex-Manager Accuses The Singer Of Excessive Spending Even though he’s made millions of dollars throughout his successful career,  T-Pain  is now being accused of losing his hefty fortune due to excessive spending, according to his former manager. The spending reportedly got so bad that the artist was unable to pay his management team, which is said to be the reason he has now had a federal lawsuit filed against him. According to reports from  The Blast , Chase Entertainment, the group suing the rapper stated: “In a futile effort to come up with a negotiating strategy to help T-Pain leverage his way out of his irrefutable legal obligation to pay Chase post-termination management commissions, believed to be in excess of $1 Million, T-Pain finds himself reduced to fabricating absurd and baseless claims against his former manager. Despite repeated demands by Chase, T- Pain has refused to account to or pay Chase for their rightful share of commissions.” This statement comes after T-Pain originally filed a lawsuit against them, claiming that he is the one who was owed money by the management company–$1 million to be exact. On the contrary, Pain has stated that he paid all of the commissions he owed over the years and did so on time, too. In the artist’s lawsuit to Chase Entertainment, the rapper stated that they failed to pay for the expenses they were supposed to and that they did not provide any accounting work for his finances. Now, Chase Entertainment is the one seeking $1 million in damages from the rapper. They have also denied all the allegations T-Pain has thrown at them in his lawsuit prior.

Kanye West Calls Out Ariana Grande, Accuses Singer of Exploiting His Mental Illness

Kanye West has turned his attention from Drake to Ariana Grande. And now we have a feud on our hands between two of the biggest solo artists on the planet. It all started on Thursday night when Kanye went after Drake on Twitter , accusing his fellow artist of threatening members of his family. This renewed rivalry got off to a strange start, after West revealed that Drake had asked for clearance to sample one of his tracks. Kanye used this request as an opening to simply attack Drake close to 80 times on social media, writing at one point that Drake needs to stay away from Kris Jenner: “Been trying to meet with you for 6 months bro. You sneak dissing on trav records and texting Kris talking bout how’s the family.” It was an especially chaotic few hours on Twitter, even for Kanye West. Drake didn’t really response to any Kanye’s taunts of insults… … but Grande actually did. You see, Ariana and Miley Cyrus both released new tracks on Thursday and Grande joked that West and Drake’s beef was taking away attention from these single drops. In a practically perfect Tweet, the singer wrote: “Guys, i know there are grown men arguing online rn but miley and i dropping our beautiful, new songs tonight so if y’all could please jus behave for just like a few hours so the girls can shine that’d be so sick thank u.” Hilarious, right? Not exactly, Kanye now argues. The 41-year old rapper took exception to Grande butting into his business in this manner, accusing the superstar of exploiting both his fame and even his mental illness in order to promote her music. “I know Ariana said this to be cool and didn’t mean no harm but I don’t like even slightest level of slight commentary from someone I know loves and respects me,” he Tweeted, adding: “All of this foolishness weighed on my mental health so @ArianaGrande you know I got love for you but until you’re ready to really make sure everyone’s ok don’t use me or this moment to promote a song.” West has claimed in the past that he’s bipolar . In response to Kanye’s remarks, Ariana didn’t entirely back down. She stood up for herself and her career, but also issued a mea culpa. “with all due respect, i don’t need to use anyone to promote anything. period. i was making a comment ab what men were doing at the time vs. women,” she wrote, concluding: “it was a joke which i understand now was probably insensitive. i apologize if i was in any way triggering and hope u feel well today.” Again: Ariana handled this perfectly. It’s very clear at this point of her career that she doesn’t need to rely on anyone else to push her songs, yet she was a big enough person to recognize the sensitivity of mental illness and to acknowledge how perhaps she should have thought of that before Tweeting. Grande is very good at social media. Kanye is very bad. Perhaps he should take another break from the medium.

Watch Beyonce And Jay-Z Perform At Global Citizen Fest: Mandela 100 [VIDEO]

Source: Kevin Mazur / Getty The Global Citizens Festival: Mandela 100 event is underway in Johannesburg, South Africa, with performances from the likes of Pharrell, Usher, Wizkid, plus Beyonce and Jay-Z. The free event is also available to stream a number of other ways on Global Citizen’s official website . Before the festival kicked off, Beyoncé wrote a letter detailing what Nelson Mandela meant to her. “I first met you in 2004 for the 46664 AIDS Benefit Concert in Cape Town, and the impact you have had on my life resonates with me today and every day,” the singer opened her letter. “Your kindness and gratitude for every experience, and your ability to forgive are lessons I have learned and will pass on to my three children.” The festival is celebrating what would have been the former South African president’s 100th birthday. It’s aim is to raise $1 billion for poor women and children across the world. Read Bey’s full letter below. https://www.pscp.tv/w/1yoKMjgpdPWGQ https://www.pscp.tv/w/1MYxNyeXNeyJw Dear Madiba, I first met you in 2004 for the 46664 AIDS Benefit Concert in Cape Town, and the impact you have had on my life resonates with me today and every day. Your kindness and gratitude for every experience, and your ability to forgive are lessons I have learned and will pass on to my three children. My entire family holds you in high regard. It is an honor for me to travel to South Africa this week in celebration of you and your efforts to right so many wrongs. You were a strategic warrior, a bold activist, and charismatic and well-loved leader. Your vision for dignity, for human rights, for peace and a South Africa free of racism and apartheid, allows us all to turn dreams into reality. I remember taking that walk with you back to the prison on Robben Island where you spent 18 of those imprisoned 27 years. I recall your measured but focused steps in as you recounted the stories of the struggles, the sacrifices and your resilience. You smiled as you talked to a crowd of artists and their guests, including my mother, who first told my sister and me about the great Nelson Mandela. In that moment I truly understood your heart and humility. You made it possible for so many people like me to reject impossibilities and understand our capabilities in making lasting change in the world. The smallest efforts could change the trajectory for so many living in extreme poverty, facing injustices, the indecency of racism and fighting for their rights as humans. As we celebrate the Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100, honoring your centennial year, I promise you that we have made your dreams our own. Your work and your sacrifices were not in vain. I will cherish every moment shared in your presence and use the lessons learned from you as fuel to stir positive ideas and solutions. Beyoncé Knowles-Carter

Lady Gaga, Kesha Trash Katy Perry in Leaked Texts: She’s So Mean!

Back in 2016,  Kesha alleged that she was raped by famed record music producer Dr. Luke. Luke has worked with some of the biggest names in pop over the course of his career, and Kesha insisted that she was not his only victim. In court documents that were unsealed last year, Kesha accused Luke of raping Katy Perry, and to the surprise of many, Perry remained silent on the matter. But while she never spoke out on social media, Perry did respond to the allegations in court. And it seems the singer was not happy to be dragged into a legal battle she wanted no part in. In a 2017 deposition unsealed today and obtained by Radar Online, Katy makes her feelings on the situation very clear: “Annoyed, pissed off that she would bring me into it in this way, annoyed at both Luke and Kesha,” Perry replied when asked how she felt about Kesha’s claims. Perry stated that she was never assaulted by Luke, but declined to support him publicly, as she knew her fans would be “very angry” if she were to defend an accused rapist. “I would be attacked, I would be the one woman that is against women and I’m not against women, but I believe in innocent until proven guilty and I believe in justice,” she told the court. “I want to stay out of it because I know them both and I empathize with both of them and obviously it’s a horrible situation for both of them,” she added. “And the only two people that know what really went on are those two people.” Today’s unsealed files also contain a transcript of a 2016 text message conversation between Kesha and Lady Gaga on the subject of Perry: “Was crying a lot today and needed my mom,” Kesha told her fellow pop star. “I’m really upset with Katy Perry … She could bring the whole thing to a head…She was raped by the same man. She is probably really afraid to lose everything.” “U are really strong standing up to him, she’s not as strong as u yet,” Gaga assured her friend, adding: “Have you talked to her?” “[You’re] right. I need to find sympathy and empathy for her. She’s so mean. It’s hard,” Kesha responded. “Do you want me to see if I can talk to her?” Gaga said. “I know she’s mean.” Kesha was definitive in response, texting, “OMG, NO!” in response to Gaga’s offer to intervene. While no criminal charges have been filed against Luke, he and Kesha have both filed civil suits against one another. Their legal battle remains ongoing. Demi Lovato: Did Her Mom Make Her Dump Henry Levy?!

It’s been just over two weeks since Demi Lovato left rehab , and by all accounts, the singer remains fully committed to the hard work of recovery. But that doesn’t mean there haven’t been any roadblocks along the way. Until recently, Demi was dating Henry Levy , a fashion designer whom she had reportedly known for years but had just become close with in rehab. Experts advise against romantic relationships for anyone who’s new to sobriety, but Demi’s new relationship was particularly troubling due to the fact that Levy is also a recovering addict . So perhaps it should come as no surprise that Demi’s beloved mother, Dianna Hart, has encouraged her to step away from Levy for the time being. And by “encouraged” we mean “demanded.” “Demi’s mom, as well as her entire family, wanted Henry out of the picture the minute that they saw the two of them together,” a source close to Dianna tells Radar. “Henry is newly sober and he is not the type of guy that Demi should be associating herself with right now,” the insider adds. “Several people have come to Dianna and told her that he is not a good influence since the two were seen together.”  Unfortunately, it seems it’s not just Levy who has Demi’s loved ones concerned these days. According to the insider, Demi didn’t miss a beat in returning to her active social life, and the 25-year-old “still runs in those Hollywood circles that Dianna wants her daughter to avoid.” While no one is claiming that Lovato is using again, the source says there are widespread concerns that she’s falling back in with the type of people who landed her in trouble previously: “Demi is acting on her own accord again and everyone is worried sick,” the insider says. “There is only so much that her family can do. The rest is up to her.” One promising sign is that Demi has fired Dani Vitale , the backup dancer who she reportedly partying with at the time of her overdose. Of course, steering clear of one bad influence won’t be enough. The world is just full of them — especially when you’re rich, famous, and prone to addiction. We wish Demi all the best in her continued recovery. View Slideshow: Demi Lovato: Everything We Know About Her Overdose So Far

Devin Lima Dies; LFO Singer Was 41

Sad news from the music world today, as Devin Lima, singer of the popular ’90s boy band LFO has passed away. Lima was just 41 years old. Lima had been battling cancer for 13 months prior to his death. He and bandmate Brad Fischetti were planning to embark a nationwide tour when doctors discovered a “football-sized” tumor on Lima’s adrenal gland. The tumor was removed, but by that time, Lima had developed stage 4 cancer. News of Lima’s passing was made public by his mother, Filomena Lima, who says she received the tragic news from Devin’s fiance, who had been living with him. “My son has passed away,” Filomena wrote on Facebook. “He was struggling for thirteen months since his diagnosis. He passed about 2:45 in the morning.” “We are not good,” Filomena added. “I’m not good.” Fischetti founded LFO along with the group’s primary songwriter, Rich Cronin, back in 1995. Lima joined the band just before the vocalists gained national fame on the strength of their hit “Summer Girls,” best remembered for its buoyant vibe and timely lyrics about “girls who wear Abercrombie & Fitch.” The group followed that up with several more modest hits, such as “Girl on TV” and “Every Other Time.” As a trio, Lima, Fischetti, and Cronin sold more than 4 million records worldwide. Tragically, Cronin passed away following a battle with Leukemia in 2010. The group disbanded following Cronin’s death, but Lima and Fischetti reunited to tour and perform as LFO in 2017. Aa a duo, they released a single entitled “Perfect 10” in the summer of 2017. Sadly, it was shortly thereafter that doctors diagnosed Lima with cancer. LFO – Summer Girls On social media, thousands are paying tribute to Lima and the music he created that was such a memorable part of their adolescent years. “I’m devastated to hear about LFO’s Devin Lima. He was my idol and mentor,” tweeted singer and media personality Gavin Thomas. “I learned so much from him vocally over the years. I feel so lucky to have interviewed him on the podcast. Rest easy, bro. Our thoughts go out to Lima’s family during this incredibly difficult time. View Slideshow: Celebrities Who Died in 2018: In Memoriam
