In a truly stunning turn of events this morning, Wiz Khalifa was arrested for marijuana possession in Texas this morning. According to local authorities, a “green leafy substance” was found on the artist during a TSA check as the artist was trying to fly from El Paso to Dallas. Khalifa was subsequently taken into custody at the airport and turned over to police. Cops tell TMZ that Mr. Amber Rose was in possession of 0.5 grams of weed at the scene. Said El Paso Chief of Police Gregory K. Allen via statement: “The TSA Officer learned that [Wiz Khalifa] did not have any identification which led to him being sent for secondary screening. During that screening the TSA Officer located a metal container inside of the backpack which contained a prohibited item.” Khalifa eventually posted $300 bond and was released… but not before he also posted a selfie. The rapper also put a photo online of his cell door with the phrase “Free Trap Wiz” (followers later turned that into a hashtag) – and revealed that he hoped to drop his new single “28 Grams” today, but he got “locced [sic] up.” It was a tough break for the Wiz. Toni Braxton suffered a major wardrobe malfunction last August. But now the singer is revealing a part of herself that cuts deeper than any exposed butt crack: In a new memoir, Braxton opens up about a past abortion and how that decision has significantly affected her present and her future. The artist says God gave her 11-year-old son, Diezel, autism as punishment for his mother having an abortion over a decade ago. Writes Braxton of struggling with the choice to terminate her pregnancy back in the day: “I was suddenly faced with a choice I’d never thought I’d have to make. Amid my major misgivings about abortion, I eventually made the gut-wrenching decision.” She goes on to add: “In my heart, I believed I had taken a life – an action that I thought God might one day punish me for… My initial rage was quickly followed by another strong emotion: guilt. I knew I’d taken a life… I believed God’s payback was to give my son autism.” Raised in a religious household, Braxton details how she was forced to memorize 26 scriptures per week and to focus on religious studies over regular school work. Titled “Unbreak My Heart,” the book also covers Braxton’s struggles through a pair of bankruptcies and a recent health scare, having been hospitalized in 2012 with Lupus complications . James Maslow fans are fuming over last night’s Dancing With the Stars results show, claiming the vote tallies that led to the singer’s departure are bogus. Maslow got the chop despite not finishing with the lowest score from the judges. In fact, he bested Candace Cameron Bure and Mark Ballas by several points. Some fans are crying foul, citing a supposed glitch in fan voting might have cost James and his partner Peta Murgatroyd votes. Considering the week Justin Bieber has been having, you’d think the singer would be in danger of losing sponsorship deals. He’s been accused of trying to steal a cell phone . He’s been caught cursing off a fan . And he’s been sued by a photographer . But these actions have apparently endeared the artist to notorious pornography king Larry Flynt. In a letter obtained by Dish Network, the Hustler Magazine founder has offered Bieber $1 million to serve as a spokesperson for his strip clubs, as the establishments are launching a campaign to stop “outsourcing visits to strip clubs and from now on buy only American.” We’ll ignore, for the moment, the fact that Bieber is Canadian. In the letter to the singer, Flynt’s Hustler Club Director of Marketing David Lieberman says he wants to stage a 21st birthday party for Bieber and his dad Jeremy next March, writing to Scooter Braun: “Justin will set a good and safe example to his remaining fans by advocating a legal and safe way to satisfy their sexual desires when they finally reach the legal age of 21.” The letter adds: “Just imagine the street cred Justin will receive when he escorts one of our HUSTLER Club Centerfolds to the next big championship fight,” a reference to Bieber’s penchant for attending boxing matches in Las Vegas. Hustler is also proposing that Bieber star in a commercial for its brand. Bieber, of course, reportedly dropped 75K at a Miami strip joint in January… so we know he likes to watch naked ladies. Michael Lohan’s notorious baby mama Kate Major had to be rushed from a rehab facility to a Florida hospital after suffering a seizure, according to reports. The episode took place early this morning for unknown reasons. Kate Major reportedly complained of chest pains and was taken to JFK Medical Center in West Palm Beach. Her condition is unknown at this time. Major, who once worked as an assistant to Lindsay Lohan and dated Jon Gosselin , was ordered back to rehab by a judge earlier this year after a DUI arrest. Before she welcomed Michael Lohan’s sixth child last year, she had a similar incident in 2011 when she was also taken to the hospital … also from rehab. The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Apollo Nida pleaded guilty to charges of mail, wire and bank fraud in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. He could be going to jail for a long, long time. Apollo Nida’s crimes could land him in prison for up to 30 years and a fine of up to $1 million on top of restitution for an estimated $2.3 million he allegedly defrauded. His co-conspirator Gayla St. Julien, who said Nida ran the show and helped turn him in after she was arrested, has received a sentence of 61 months last month. Nida will be sentenced on July 8 at 2 p.m. The assistant U.S. attorney said Apollo opened a fake debt collection agency to gain access to databases full of individuals’ personal information. He would then steal people’s ID and find unclaimed funds , refunds from HUD, stolen treasury checks and refunds from fraudulent U.S. income tax returns. Nida had St. Julien open UPS mailboxes and bank checking accounts using those fake identities, deposit those checks, then pocket the money. So why would he do it when he’s already well taken care of by wife Phaedra Parks? Partly for that reason, he said in court. The pressure to keep up was intense! Nida said he takes “full responsibility for my actions” and expressed regret for hurting his family and any individuals and institutions affected by his fraud. Apollo Nida Pleads Guilty In ID Theft Scheme “It was a dumb situation I put myself in,” he said. In 2009, Nida had just left prison after five years for racketeering charges related to auto title fraud. He and Phaedra Parks , a prominent attorney, married. He said she was making far more than him and he felt pressure to keep up. Without easy legitimate ways to make quick money, he opted for this scheme. He said he even had a nervous breakdown at one point over the pressures to “sustain a lifestyle … I got sucked in and engulfed and lost sight of things,” he said. But he claimed to her he was running a legitimate debt recovery firm and kept her firmly in the dark. And once he started the scheme, he found it difficult to stop. Nida said he often didn’t think about whether this was hurting anybody because he was primarily targeting businesses and the government, not individuals. “It’s my fault at the end of the day,” he said. Since Nida is not expected to go to prison until July, when you watch The Real Housewives of Atlanta next season, this will definitely play out on Bravo.
