President Barack Obama is probably not going to quit his day job (at least not for another year), but he did make a brief foray into R&B at a fundraiser last night. The Commander-in-Chief burst into song while thanking Al Green, who had performed earlier at the same event, crooning a bar from “Let’s Stay Together” Obama then joked he hadn’t been ushered off-stage. Watch: Obama Sings Al Green It all happened at Manhattan’s Apollo Theater late Thursday, when Obama stepped to the podium and veered from prepared remarks to thank Green. Apparently not content to simply praise Green, Obama launched into “Let’s Stay Together,” warbling “I, so in love with you” … complete with vibrato. He stopped to laughter and applause, remarked that his staff didn’t believe he’d do it, and that the Sandman hadn’t come out to yank him outta there. That would be Sandman Sims, a famous tap dancer who chased unpopular acts off-stage at the Apollo for decades. Sort of a Keyboard Cat predecessor.

I’m not a hundred percent sure this is a good idea, video of a bunch of Victoria’s Secret models singing Jingle Bells sounds like a good idea on paper, but the whole thing could blow up in your face with out of key hottie screams rattling our eardrums. Alright so I’ve watched it… It’s pretty bad, but it’s filled with giggling hot women bouncing up and down so I’m alright with it.

Kris Humphries is ready to play ball. With the NBA lockout finally over – it lasted longer than his marriage to Kim Kardashian … but so do some dentist appointments – the free agent power forward spoke to Good Morning America today and said he was excited to focus on his professional life. “I’m just focused on family and preparing for basketball,” Kris said. “For me, it’s just, certain things happen in life and you’ve got to move forward. I’m excited to be where I’m at right now, with the NBA season coming up.” What about the annulment filing? The back and forth in the press? The fact that Kim may soon be back with Reggie Bush ? “The only things I really watch on TV of myself is playing basketball. It’s been a long time since we wrote about Hulk Hogan and his ex-wife, but don’t worry. The two haven’t become any more stable. The former WWE star has filed a lawsuit against Linda Hogan, alleging she lied and defamed him her memoir, “Wrestling the Hulk—My Life Against the Ropes.” In the book, Linda claims Hulk beat her , took drugs and engaged in sexual encounters, all fibs meant to revive her career, the wrestler says in court documents. The 18-page lawsuit states that such accusations have “harmed the reputation of Mr. Bollea, exposed him to distrust, hatred, contempt and ridicule.” Hulk is demanding a trial by jury and asking for Linda to stop broadcasting and publishing excerpts from the biography during her book promotion. In an interview earlier this year, Linda said she feared becoming a “a statistic” like Nicole Simpson, hinting strongly that Hulk often came close to killing her.

It was the most emotional scene of The X Factor season: Rachel Crow, 13, falling into sobs as soon after she eliminated from the competition this week… while the crowd booed Nicole Scherzinger for not casting a vote that would have saved the contestant. After the show, however, Rachel was far more calm than many in the audience. Rachel Crow Sings for Survival “I am not feeling the greatest, but I will be fine,” the singer told the press, adding of Scherzinger: “She told me that she was sorry. I don’t know why she said that… I told her it was okay and not her fault.” Considering the hate-filled messages directed at Nicole and Paula Abdul last week, Crow also issued this plea to fans: “I want to say to all those people, ‘Stop, Please.’ [Scherzinger] is the nicest person and the most beautiful person inside and out… She is amazing, and I don’t understand why people are taking it out on her. It’s no one’s fault. It’s not even America’s fault. It’s no one person’s fault. It’s just what God had in store for me. And I will be okay.” Do you think Rachel should have been voted out?

On last Thursday’s X Factor results show, Astro was voted into the bottom two – and then nearly got himself eliminated by initially refusing to sing for the judges’ vote. It was a disgraceful show of poor sportsmanship . But it also came from a young rapper who is only 15 years old, as Astro took to Facebook over the weekend and apologized for acting like a spoiled brat. Astro Sings for Survival “What I do, I do for the love of Hip-Hop and my fans, and I would never doing anything to hurt either,” he wrote. “I believed I was being mistreated… My guards are always up, and maybe I took the situation too heavy. I seriously apologize to my fans, what I said and my emotions weren’t directed toward you. I’m 15 and I think I know everything, but the truth is, I don’t, and I handled the situation wrong! Win or lose next week, I will make you all proud!” Astro added that he wants to be the “new ambassador” for hip hop, while Simon Cowell said he’s met with Astro and his father and everything is “much calmer now.” If true, that’s too bad. The X Factor was just getting exciting!
