Friends…how many of us have them? Pras says there’s no bad blood between him and Wyclef Jean after Pras didn’t back his bandmate and childhood friend in Haiti’s election, The Post’s Darryl Harrison reports. “It’s part of his theatrics, part of his politics. It’s all good,” Pras said of a song Wyclef performed that dissed him and activist Sean Penn last September. He even left the door open for a Fugees reunion — “If Fleetwood Mac can do it, if the Rolling Stones can do it,” he mused. Glad these two could squash the beef. At one point we would have loved to see a Fugees reunion, but if Lauryn can’t keep her isht together then we’d rather not ruin the memory that we have. Source More On Bossip! The Food Network’s Paula Deen is about to come clean with an ironic, sad admission: She can’t eat her own dishes anymore because she has diabetes. The Georgia-born chef, considered the queen of high-calorie, Southern comfort food who has five best-selling cookbooks, has never addressed this. In fact, she has been trying to keep her condition a secret , even after the National Enquirer reported in April 2011 that she has Type 2 diabetes. Type 2 diabetes has often been associated with fatty foods and obesity. Neither Paula Deen, 64, nor her reps have confirmed this report . If Paula’s brand is hurt by this revelation, she’s covering her bases. Sources say Deen has hammered out a seven-figure deal to be the spokeswoman pharmaceutical company Novartis, endorsing the drug she is taking. Makes sense. But repositioning herself may prove a tough task. “Paula Deen is going to have to rebrand herself now that she has diabetes,” said a source. “She’s going to have to start cooking healthier recipes.” “She can’t keep pushing mac and cheese and deep-fried Twinkies when she is hawking a diabetes drug five minutes later.” In August, No Reservations host Anthony Bourdain called Deen “the worst, most dangerous person to America” and said she should “think twice before telling an already obese nation that it’s OK to eat food that is killing us.” Never one to mince words, Anthony Bourdain.
Heather Locklear left UCLA Hospital last night, following an emergency admission that stemmed from a dangerous mix of pills and alcohol , but reports indicate her family hopes the actress ends up back in the facility soon. For treatment. Sources tell Entertainment Tonight that the veteran actress was “out of control” when her sister called 911 on Thursday afternoon, while an insider admits to People : “Heather is in bed all the time, usually four days out of the week. Hung over, she lays in bed; she’s depressed, she just hangs out.” As a result, Locklear’s loved ones are pushing for the star to receive help at an actual hospital, not some posh boutique facility, such as Promises in Malibu. In March 2008, Heather’s doctor called the authorities after a rumored suicide attempt by his patient. Months later, Locklear sought treatment at an Arizona facility for anxiety and depression. She was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving in September of that year. Let’s all hope this beautiful, talented actress soon finds the help she very much needs.
Bey got all types of work done during her pregnancy, didn’t she? In the months leading up to the birth of her daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, Beyonce was busy shooting videos and promotions for her album 4, but she also made the time to design gear for President Obama’s re-election Campaign. Bey and her mother Tina Knowles participated in “Runway to Win,” in which a number of celebrities and fashion icons are tapped to design T-shirts and other items for President Obama’s re-election campaign. According to New York magazine, the effort was spearheaded by Vogue editor Anna Wintour, who wrangled a number of her friends and fashion world peers to design shirts, tote bags, scarves and bracelets for the Obama campaign. In addition to Beyoncé, Diddy and hip-hip impresario Russell Simmons, others who’ve thrown in include First Lady Michelle Obama fave designer Jason Wu, as well as Rachel Roy, Narciso Rodriguez, Marc Jacobs, Diane Von Furstenberg, rag & bone, Altuzarra, Alexander Wang, Tory Burch and Tracy Reese. Beyoncé’s effort, designed in conjunction with her mother, Tina Knowles, is a $45 white T-shirt with the phrases “yes we can,” “words do inspire” and “transform a nation together,” randomly scattered across the front in different fonts. (Simmons and Diddy’s shirts have not yet been revealed.” The current fundraiser is a sequel of sorts to a similar campaign in 2008 called “Runway to Change,” and the proceeds will go to the Obama Victory Fund. Pre-orders are being taken now and all the items are slated to go on sale online on February 7. Here’s a look at the Knowles design. Would you cop this for $45 and a good cause? Do you think any of the current Republican candidates’ campaigns will be able to match the Obama campaign’s star power? Source More On Bossip! ‘All sorts of things go wrong, all sorts of things go right,’ castmember Matt ‘Danger’ says of episode two of MTV series. By Matt Elias “Caged” star Matt “Danger” Photo: MTV News The series premiere of MTV’s new docu-reality show “Caged” brought plenty of hard knocks and drama on Monday night. The show centers on the lives of MMA fighters both in the cage and out, and from what we saw, both bring heavy blows. From the rocky relationship between castmembers Wes and Red to fellow fighter Daniel’s tragic loss of his girlfriend Hannah, this season is sure to bring plenty of drama. Even the training leading up to a big fight had its heart-pounding moments, like Wes’ decision to don a sauna suit in a hot car in order to sweat away water weight. While the premiere focused more on the personal lives of Daniel and Wes, episode two brings more attention to the series’ other standout castmember Matt, a.k.a. “Danger.” “In the next episode, you’ll see a little more of my story and [the show] will start picking up more with me,” Danger told MTV News. In last Monday’s episode we saw a bit of that story begin to develop. Danger confronted his sister about her decision to be a stripper, but the season teaser shown at the end of the episode alluded to an even bigger family problem: his mother’s struggles with alcohol. “At the time, my mother was going through a really difficult time, so I move in with her, I quit my job and start training full time. And it’s a roller coaster of emotions and all sorts of things go wrong, all sorts of things go right, and a lot of things fell into my favor and a lot of things didn’t,” Danger said. “But y’all stay tuned and hopefully enjoy my story and become a fan of mine. I’m a hardworking fighter and I think you’ll be able to tell.” While we’ve seen the downs, the series isn’t without its ups. Danger was careful not to reveal too much, but he clued us in to what some of those ups will include over the course of this season. “In coming episodes, you’ll be able to see good friends of mine — a buddy of mine, Tony Kelly, he’s coming up. He’s a good training partner and one of my best training partners. I’ve been training with that dude now for two, three years — so very excited to see him get his opportunity to shine.” You can catch “Caged” on Mondays at 10 p.m. ET on MTV.
