On December 5th 2010 I met Justin Bieber at his book signing in London at a secret location. My mum got my two sisters and I tickets to go. I live in Manchester so we got up early on Sunday morning and drove all the way to London. We got there and waited in the queue for about 2 hours. I am poorly and regularly faint so I had to be in a wheelchair. I got taken to the front of the queue where everyone else disabled was and we got put into our own little room. They told us as we couldn’t walk up the stairs to get to the signing, Justin would come down and meet us separately. We waited ages for him to meet the other 1000 people upstairs. Then Kenny walked in our room, my sister was so excited cause she loves him. She got a photo with him and got him to sign a photo she had brought. He told us we would have to go to another room because the lighting wasn’t good enough in that room for photos. We all went through and waited until we saw Justin come down some stairs and wave. I was so shocked I couldn’t say anything. Everyone went up and got there photo with him, then it was my turn. I was walking up and all I could say was, “Oh my God” I didn’t know what to do, I got a hug and a photo. As I was walking off, I handed Kenny a DVD called “Obsessed” that I had bought for Justin, as it has Beyonce in it. Justin and Kenny were talking about and looking at my DVD for ages. Then Kenny said, “You will have to let me borrow that Justin”, I was so happy. I got handed a signed copy of First Step To Forever. I got out of the room and back into my wheelchair and fainted again. Luckily I didn’t faint whilst I was with him! My mum and dad both thought Justin and Kenny were really nice people. I’m so glad I got to meet Justin. Never Say Never!!! The second time I saw Justin was at his concert on the 4th March 2011 in Birmingham. I live in Manchester but I wanted to go to the first show, so we travelled down especially for the concert. The concert was absolutely amazing and it couldnt of been better. Whilst he was singing ‘One Time’ I burst into tears. It was also really amazing to see Willow and Jaden Smith perform. At Fashion Week, Nicki tells MTV News she was ‘bowing down to’ designer whose spring 2012 collection is inspired by the MC. In addition to taking in spring 2012 shows like Carolina Herrera , Nicki sat front-row for her personal favorite designer, Betsey Johnson . Dressed in a colorful tutu and sporting blue cotton candy-like hair, Minaj took in the runway scene, which included sequined mini-dresses, floral prints and, of course, a whole lot of leopard. MTV News caught up with the rapper just moments before the show began and she told us what it was like to meet her fashion icon. “She’s a free spirit,” Minaj said of Johnson. “When I met her the other day, I felt like I knew her for my whole life. She’s so warm and considerate and caring. She’s amazingly talented and I’ve been wearing her clothes forever, so to meet her was like, ‘Yay!’ [I was] bowing down to her; she’s dope!” The affection was mutual. Backstage at Johnson’s show — which featured a DJ, cupcakes, balloons and posters of Minaj with Johnson’s face on them — the designer revealed that this line couldn’t have been created without the hip-hop star. “I was watching Nicki Minaj and my daughter Lulu, and I’m thinking, ‘They are the body type,’ ” Johnson said of making the looks for her spring line. “I love [Nicki] and she really wears my stuff. She likes real tight; she’s just my most, most, most favorite girl right now.” So how does it feel to be Betsey Johnson’s muse? “I just think it’s amazing,” Minaj told us. “I remember I was living in Queens and I couldn’t afford Betsey, so I would, like, window-shop by her store and then I would go to the cheaper places. Amy Lee tells MTV News that the band’s new video represents them ‘coming back to the world.’ By James Montgomery Evanescence Photo: Chapman Baehler Almost since the day she wrote it, Amy Lee has referred to Evanescence ‘s “What You Want” as being “really different” from any song in the band’s back catalog. So, when it came time to cook up a concept for the video , well, why would that change? “We’d been working really fast, and we were still finishing the album and it was almost time to shoot the video, and I didn’t have an idea, which is weird for me, I usually have a big vision right away,” Lee laughed. “But the song is really different for us, so I knew that I didn’t want to go the classic, sort of fantastic, epic [thing]. I mean it’s still epic, but we didn’t want to go the classic route — I wanted to do something different.” Lee actually invited her sister, Carrie, to the recording studio for a few fresh ideas. “She’s a writer, so I was like, ‘Would you just sit here with me and listen to the song a couple times and just tell me what you see?’ ” Lee recalled. “She just started saying things that were right on. She was like, ‘This should be in New York. You guys need to do something different, this song feels different.’ And she started talking about running across the Brooklyn Bridge, and it being where I live, and I was like, ‘Oh my God, this is great.’ ” While you can credit Carrie with the basic concept behind “What You Want” — a video that retells Evanescence’s history , from their early days grinding it out in sweaty clubs throughout the South to their recent hiatus, when Lee moved to New York City — the climactic scene, in which the band wades into the surf at New York’s Coney Island, was very much Amy’s idea. And, yes, there’s a deeper meaning to it. “That was my real part, I kind of came up with the ending; I feel like it’s a representation of us coming back to the world,” she said. “We have a pretty large international fanbase, so I always think about us going on tour, and so much of touring for us is going overseas. But it’s a little more than that; it’s us heading into the unknown, coming into a new world, coming back after a long time; you’ve seen the past in the rest of the video, and that’s the unknown future.” Of course, getting her bandmates onboard with that vision — and the early-morning swim it required — proved to be a bit more difficult than Lee had originally anticipated. But, as is the case with everything Evancescence these days, eventually, they all agreed to take the plunge together; some, less willingly than others. “Yeah, [guitarist] Terry [Balsamo] especially did not want to get in the water,” Lee laughed. “It was a little cold. My name is Lucy and I’m from a small town in the South of England. I love this website and have been reading Bieber Experiences since it was first set up. Vanessa you do such a good job & I love that Justin reads some of them. Anyways, my sister, my friend and I quickly booked tickets and it was sorted. We were going to see Justin Bieber in concert on the 4th of March in Birmingham! I can’t even tell you what I was feeling. I mean, I was going to see my idol, the person who had taught me that if you never give up, your dreams will come true. We played Justin’s music the whole way down to Birmingham. I saw Justin’s tour buses as we were driving into the car park. As we were about to park, we spotted about 20 girls by a fence overlooking the buses and stage door exit, hopeful for Justin to make an appearance. I love other beliebers, they’re like a second family to me. It was FREEZING outside but we stuck with it. After a while, people began to leave so we went to the front of the fence, with a clear view of the stage exit. My mum and my mum’s friend came up to us after a while and were like, “We should go now. I really don’t think Justin’s going to come out.” A security guard came out and told us that it was highly unlikely he was going to come out, but I just had this feeling that we should stay. I said, “Let’s just stay for a while longer, you never know, never say never.” There was only about 10 of us there by now and it was getting to the time for when we should be queuing for the concert, but I just felt we needed to stay. I am SO GLAD we did because a few minutes after I said that, CARIN came out the stage exit and started walking towards us. Nearly all of us knew who she was, she is so pretty! She said, “Do you all have tickets?” We were all like YEAH! Then she said, “You’re just waiting for Justin?” She went back inside after talking to us for a bit (I LOVE her accent by the way) then Dan and Allison came out! We were all screaming, “Dan, Alison, we love you!” Then KENNY came out and we all screamed again, I think he was checking how many of us there were/security stuff like that, and then he went back inside. My heart was beating so fast. I was thinking this could actually happen, this could be my chance to meet my idol. I was shaking and it hurt to stand on the railings for so long. We started chanting “We want Justin, we want Justin!” I looked over to the door and Kenny came out again, but this time he was followed by a boy in a grey YMCMB, grey trousers and black supras, it was JUSTIN BIEBER. We were all just in hysterics, screaming so loud and cheering. He walked over to the other side of the fence then sort of ran his hand along the fence. Jaden Smith, Kenny and Carin were with him too! He started handing out tickets to people who didn’t have them or couldn’t afford them. So let’s just stop here one sec. To anyone out there who doesn’t believe that Justin is a genuinely nice person and doesn’t loves his fans or care, look at all the things he has done for us. Not only is he hugely talented (and good looking), he has a huge heart and cares about his fans as much as we care about him, and I love his so much for never forgetting that #kidrauhlforever. I could carry on for ages about what he has done for us but let’s carry on with the Bieber Experience! There was a girl who had been waiting there for hours right at the side of the fence, crying her eyes out so Justin spent longer talking to her, which is understandable. Carin was getting a little emotional. Then Kenny came over to me and put his hand up above the railings, I thought he was trying to back people away or something but it turns out that he just wanted a high five! So I HIGH FIVED KENNY HAMILTON. Justin came along to me. He looks even more perfect in more life, if that’s possible! He looked at me straight in the eyes, smiled widely then said, “Do you have a ticket?” I can’t really remember what I did, I just remember nodding, crying but smiling possibly the biggest smile ever. I said to myself that if I was ever lucky enough to get the chance to meet Justin, I would say so much more, make him laugh and stuff, and I would have asked Jaden to teach me some karate moves. I think I was kind of caught up in the moment. But I was still just so happy that he had smiled and talked to me. Justin and Jaden carried on across the line asking if anybody needed tickets. At this point I was bawling and I probably looked a mess when Justin talked to me but what was important was that my dream came true. As he was going in, he was playing a little basketball (which was purple) with Kenny and then he left. Justin was gonna throw the basketball to us but then Kenny stopped him. I started sobbing, like not crying, this was proper sobbing, I’ve never cried like that before. My mum had to eventually tell me to stop crying because she thought I would faint HAHA. We all hugged and stuff and then sort our faces out because it was getting close to the time when the doors opened. As I went to line up, there were already loads of people there and loads came up to me and asked me what happened and I told them, they were like “OH MY GOSH I WOULD HAVE DIED”. We met loads of really nice beliebers who wanted to see the video of us meeting Justin and they were also really happy for us. Justin was absolutely incredible and I loved all the little clips of film like when he was younger and stuff. When he was singing in the heart on his guitar and during “Up” he would stop and look down at his fans for a while, he threw his towel down as well! I just can’t stress enough to people how much he genuinely cares for his fans. He goes out of his way every day to help dreams come true and I hope he knows how grateful we are to him for always being there and for bringing so much happiness. I’ve seen it happen and now I’ve experienced it myself. Justin, that small gesture of you looking at me and smiling meant so much to me.
