Reports say that Katy is insisting upon a prenup. Her net worth is about eight times his. RadarOnline   reports that Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom’s relationship has grown so close that it has developed a new problem. “They’re very much in love,” an insider says of the A-list power couple. “And,” the source adds. “They plan to get hitched.” That is exciting news for both of them and for their fans — and also for fans of ludicrously beautiful people being happy. However, there’s just one little twist. “But,” the source warns. “Katy is insisting she wants to protect her millions in hard-earned assets.” She wants Orlando to sign a prenup. Pre-nuptial agreements are a smart way to ensure that everyone’s marrying for the right reasons, and that a divorce won’t ruin you. Orlando is no pauper. The The Lord of the Rings star is worth an estimated $35 million. But Katy Perry is estimated to be worth a whopping $280 million. Not all millionaires are painted with the same brush. According to the report, Orlando feels slighted by her alleged request. “Frankly,” the insider reveals. “He’s hurt by the whole thing!” The source says that Orlando cannot help but wonder: “If Katy loves him so much, why’s she doing this?” This isn’t about Orlando, though. This is about common sense and it’s about Katy’s personal history. “Katy’s been burned before,” the source notes. Her marriage to Russell Brand fell apart. Then, her relationship with John Mayer was on-again, off-again. “And,” the insider affirms. “She’s not about to let it happen again!” “Katy doesn’t want to be a three-time loser at love,” the source explains. At least with a prenup, a failed relationship doesn’t mean a financial headache. To be clear, Katy’s hesitation is not about feeling cynical about her dreamy man. “She’s praying it’ll last with Orlando,” the insider explains. It wasn’t so long ago that Orlando Bloom was the sexiest guy in theaters. He’s still nothing to turn your nose at, and he and Katy seem to have a solid relationship. “But,” the source syas. “She’s playing it safe, too.” That is smart. In a charity date auction in the aftermath of the devastating Woolsey fire, Katy introduced Orlando to bidders. “When you are on the motorcycle with him, you’re holding him in a way that I am not excited about!” she told the audience. “You’re holding his pecs and his six-pack and it’s so glorious,” she said, hyping him up. “So, if you would like to bid on a ride with Orlando Bloom on a motorcycle… You could be male, female, whatever you want,” Katy announced. “So you get to hold on to Orlando for about 45 mins,” she teased. “Not only do you get to feel his pecs but you get to stare into his brown eyes.” The bidding on a date with Orlando Bloom started at $20,000. That’s a lot of money, but he’s one hot dude and it was for a good cause. Eventually, the date sold for $50,000 — paid for by none other than Katy herself. Maybe she had promised Orlando that she’d spare him from any awkward date. Or maybe she just wanted the excuse to donate the hefty bundle of cash and to brag about his torso in the mean time. But some believe that she suddenly realized that she didn’t want anybody holding fast to his pecs but her. Hopefully, if this prenup report is legit, this won’t be the couple’s final chapter.
