She likes his smile… Flex Alexander And Shanice Celebrate 17 Years Of Marriage Flex and his songstress wife are celebrating 17 years of sweet wedded bliss. Flex and Shanice have been married for nearly two decades and Shanice took to social media to mark the occasion with her “chocolate covered” hubby. “Happy 17 year anniversary to my chocolate covered Sunday,” wrote Shanice. “Thank you for your unconditional love.” The couple previously detailed their sweet black love on their OWN reality show “Flex & Shanice.” Interestingly enough, Shanice’s mom who looks like she could be her sister, is also celebrating 17 years of marital bliss with Shanice’s stepdad. Both Flex and Shanice are in their 40s. Flex is 46-years-old and Shanice is 43. Ain’t sweet black love, grand??? India Arie Defends Chrissette Michele Against Online Attacks Chrisette Michelle has (rightfully) been facing a mountain slide of memes and tweets calling out her headazzy Trump Inauguration antics over the last week…but at least one person is in her corner . In steps India Arie. The soul sister tweeted an open letter to those with something sinister to say about Chrissette’s “bridge-building” performance mission. And although she doesn’t personally get it or at all agree with it…she thinks everyone should lay off of poor Chrissette and let her learn from this misstep. I pick up the phone and the first thing he says was, I STAND WITH CHRISETTE MICHELLE That got me thinking. I can’t say I STAND WITH HER but ! I can say I STAND UP FOR CHRISETTE MICHELE First of all, let me speak for myself: I LOVE Chrisette I’ve known her since she was singing at open mic’s at village underground, I’ve watched her journey and I haven’t agreed with it all, and still I love her, but that’s not why I write this open letter. I write this because, I LOVE HUMANITY and I KNOW WE ARE BETTER THAN THIS. Social media is a powerful tool, that becomes a weapon, when people start treating each other as little more, than the little blue screen in front of them. Basic truth: When we see people as less than human, it gives us permission to treat each other as less than human. THIS IS THE FUNDAMENTAL ISSUE FACING AMERICA AT THIS TIME. SO, why do it to each other on an interpersonal level? The culture is talking about being “WOKE” …. Woke from what? To ME, Woke, means conscious – making conscious decisions about how you navigate life. A basic spiritual philosophy is that, The highest consciousness understanding is that we are one interconnected humanity. So WAKE UP THEN! Agree or disagree with Chrisette , she is A HUMAN BEING – nuanced and multi dimensional. Give her a chance to be everything that she is, and YOU take a chance to remember – you’ve made missteps too. Which is how I SEE this thing with Chrisette – a misstep. I think there is a deeper reason she decided to be there – and I think it was a career misstep. She goes on to say that the attacks against Chrissette have gone way too far, and there’s little value in being abusive when we disagree with someone’s words or actions. I’m not saying we shouldn’t say ANYTHING! I AM SAYING, LET LOOK AT HOW WE ARE SAYING WHAT WE SAY. Why the abuse? and the “Canceling Chrisette Michele in 2017?” and all of that? come on guys. I think the WAY we are responding is a EXTREME – and I think the reason WHY is so extreme, is that it’s misplaced FEAR and Anger. Chrisette is a trigger for our fear – not the cause nor should she be the focus of it. Do I agree with her performing at the inauguration? NO. I would have NEVER done it. For any price, under any circumstance. but thats ME. Do I agree with her having the CHOICE? YES Do I think I understand the nuance that went into her decision? NO!! Let disagree – but love our sister… IF WE CAN JUST FOCUS OUR ATTENTION WHERE IT MATTERS, WE CAN AFFECT CHANGE. We think it’s safe to say this is not some relative-unknown NFL player. Naturally, everyone denied signing the NDA, but that’s usually how these things work. We doubt the sugar daddy paid to have the docs drafter and sent to Lala’s friends, but when they stood on principle for the first time their lives and refused to sign, he was just all: “Well, if I can’t trust a bunch of thirsty D-listers from a reality show where the entire cast is known for their willingness to screw over absolutely anyone, who can I trust? C’mon in, you crazy kids!” After the show, two of the newly-sketchy-seeming Coachella guests appeared on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live! where they attempted to nonchalantly brush the situation off: Ariana Madix & Tom Sandoval on WWHL As you can see, the future’s not looking bright for Tom and Ariana’s acting careers. According to a new report, Selena Gomez has truly fallen for The Weeknd . Mere days after she was first spotted in public with her new man, Selena is allegedly telling friends that she’s never felt this strongly for a man before. No, not even when it came to Justin Bieber. Things with The Weeknd are “completely different” than they were with Bieber, an insider tells Hollywood Life, implying that Gomez and her fellow artist are involved in a very serious relationship. And how does this make Bieber feel? Is he sad? Shocked? Angry? Jealous? Nope, none of the above, according to TMZ. He actually finds the whole thing pretty comical. Despite what outlets such as Us Weekly and E! News have reported, and despite photographs showing Gomez kissing and hugging The Weeknd after a romantic date in Los Angeles last week, Bieber simply isn’t buying this relationship. He doesn’t think it’s based on any actual feelings. A source tells TMZ that Bieber thinks Selena is simply using The Weekd for publicity and promotional purposes. Gomez is reportedly working on new music and also reportedly working on new music with The Weeknd. Bieber therefore thinks she’s doing the same thing here as she did with Nick Jonas and with Zedd; that is, she’s simply dating whomever it is she’s collaborating with. Maybe there’s some attraction there, sure. Maybe it’s a dalliance based on mutual feelings that have developed over the course of spending a lot of time together. But the real thing? The L Word? Anything more than a brief romantic interlude? Bieber basically rolls his eyes at these notions. If Gomez has not fallen cute head over pretty heels for The Weeknd, then she’s risking her reputation for no solid reason. Not long after her date with the singer went public, Gomez was unfollowed on Instagram by good friend Bella Hadid. She was also flipped off by Hadid . The alleged anger stems from the fact that Hadid dated The Weeknd for about two years, with the stars calling it quits toward the end of 2016. As a pretty close pal of Selena’s (both Bella and Gomez are key members of Taylor Swift’s Squad), the model is reportedly hurt and angry that Gomez has started to date her ex-boyfriend.
