Tiger Woods Divorce Being Hammered Out Quietly?

Tiger and Elin Woods’ divorce, while not official yet, is reportedly in the works, and will be banged out hard and fast … insert obligatory Joslyn James joke here. The golfer and his estranged wife are trying to strike agreements on custody and division of assets . Once they do, they’ll quietly and quickly file divorce papers. This according to sources very familiar with the situation. Not surprisingly, the important thing for both Tiger and Elin Woods, aside from equitable sharing of their kids, is keeping the terms of the divorce confidential.

‘Jersey Shore’ Soundtrack Due July 20

By James Montgomery The 2009 cast of “Jersey Shore” Photo: Scott Gries/Picture Group Prepare thine fists for pumping: On July 20, MTV and Universal Republic Records will release ‘Jersey Shore’ Soundtrack, a collection of songs inspired by the tanned-and-terrific hit series. The club-ready first single off the album is “I Like It,” a collaboration between Enrique Iglesias and Pitbull, which will be available on iTunes May 25. Other artists featured on the soundtrack include Lil Jon, LMFAO, Taio Cruz and Akon. It’s the perfect summer playlist, not to mention an excellent accompaniment to any and all G.T.L.-related activities, but if you want even more “Jersey Shore,” a deluxe edition of the soundtrack will also be available, featuring not only the standard album, but a bonus second CD, packed with music inspired by the first season of the “Shore,” including the show’s theme, “Get Crazy,” by LMFAO. “MTV is excited to join forces with Universal Republic Records to bring the ‘Jersey Shore’ Soundtrack to the show’s fans,” Amy Doyle, executive vice president of Music & Talent Programming Strategy, MTV Brands, said in a statement. “From the clubs to the gym, there is going to be a lot of fist pumping and booty shaking going on this summer, and that’s just at my house.” More info on the album (and exclusive promotional contests coming this summer) will be available shortly. The first season of “Jersey Shore” will also be available — completely uncensored, BTW — on DVD, the same day the soundtrack hits stores: July 20. And, of course, the second season of the show , which follows Snooki, the Situation, JWoww, DJ Pauly D and the gang down to Miami’s South Beach before returning to their now-famous house in Seaside Heights, will premiere on Thursday, July 29 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on MTV. Betty White ‘Thrilled’ To Appear With Jay-Z On ‘Saturday Night Live’

By Jocelyn Vena Betty White Photo: Jason LaVeris/FilmMagic In one of the more inspired casting combinations in “Saturday Night Live” history, when Betty White hosts “SNL” for the Mother’s Day special on May 8, she’ll be paired with musical guest Jay-Z . And, it seems that if the situation arises, she’d love to play Bonnie to his Clyde at some point during the show. “I’m thrilled to meet him. I’m thrilled to hear he’s going to be on the show because he’s the hottest thing since sliced bread, but I certainly enjoy him. I hope well get along well,” White told reporters Wednesday about her stint on the show next week. “Yes, [I have listened to his music] … I have no idea [if we’ll work together]! But I’m game to try anything. This is an adventure!” White insisted that she didn’t yet know what the show will entail. And, despite the show biz mantra about never working with kids or animals, animal-lover White would love the chance to do just that. “I have no idea what I’m going to be doing. I haven’t talked to anybody. I hope I’ll be with some kind of animals,” she said. “They’re the other half of my life. They always get my calm and tone me down.” The episode with have many past female cast members coming back to make an appearance, and it leaves the fate of the male cast members up in the air. But, White is certain she’ll find someone to flirt with on set. “I hope not! But if there isn’t any, I’ll hit on every member of the crew!” she joked. “I’ve always had a bawdy sense of humor.” What could Jay-Z and Betty White do together on “SNL” (besides the “Single Ladies” dance)? Jon Gosselin Drops Custody Lawsuit, Seeks Truce with Kate Gosselin

Jon Gosselin will drop his legal case against Kate Gosselin for custody and child support. Seriously. Even more shockingly, the two seem to be getting along. Sources connected to the situation also note that Jon never really believed Kate was an “absentee mom,” as his now-fired lawyer alleged earlier this month. Anthony F. List levied that charge and many legal threats against Kate while she was on Dancing with the Stars … Jon later claimed List was not his lawyer. Last week, List quoted Jon as calling Kate a shameless self-promoter who should be supporting her kids and not herself. That’s when he got the public ax. BURYING THE HATCHET : Did hell really freeze over? Regardless of who’s representing Jon, which not even he seems to fully grasp, he and Kate are trying to hash out a custody and child support agreement. A new one, and one that is more up to date than the one that is currently in place. Because Kate Gosselin is making serious money and Jon isn’t, face it. Also, he’s actually shown more of an interest in being with the kids than he did during divorce proceedings, so it’s a different situation now than before. Will Kate let Jon appear on the revamped Kate Plus 8 , or spin-off show, Twist of Kate? Hey, never say never … when a douchebag is desperate for cash.
