Tamar Braxton, little sister to Toni, but breakout star of WeTV’s “Braxton Family Values,” sat down with Necole Bitchie to discuss the relationship with her big sister, rumors of her plastic surgery and what we can expect from her music. What’s been the hardest part thus far? Reading the blogs. Vince keeps telling me not to read the blogs and the comments but it’s hard. Everyone has something to say and how they perceive you is based off of one hour of television a week. And the rumors – did I bleach my skin? Did I have plastic surgery. On plastic surgery: I had a nose job. But not for the reason everybody thinks. I was born with no cartilage in my nose, and it made breathing very difficult. And the SNORING? Oh My God! So I’ve had a couple surgeries – the first time they put an implant in and I had to have it removed – so eventually they took some cartilage from my ear and put it in my nose. Oh and that HURT! They want me to have a third procedure but I’m trying not to have it. But this is something that runs in our family. My father had the same thing done, and so did Toni. I believe everyone should do anything they need to do to make themselves feel good. It’s the same reason why people don’t just eat whatever they want. They don’t want to be fat as hell. You don’t want to look like a Hotmess.com! So you do things to fix it…Plastic surgery is the exact same thing. On Toni’s illness: You know this is something that is actually really hard for me, hard to talk about. For the longest time I thought Toni was just being lazy, laying down all the time. I really didn’t understand. So when we found out she was sick, I really felt bad. And I think I’ve had the most guilt about this so I probably go a little above and beyond to try to help her out. But it’s tough. Some days you know she’s not feeling well. It hurts to talk about this. On her music: I’m all over the place! I’m a little rock, a little soul and I’m someone’s wife so I have to make sure I’m presented in a respectable way. I can’t be gyrating on stage half naked. Leo DiCaprio, Joe Jonas, Alicia Silverstone and more are doing their part for Mother Earth. So in honor of Earth Day, MTV News zeroed in on some of La La Land’s greenest superstars to show the ways in which they’re using their celebrity to shed light on important environmental causes. Leonardo DiCaprio has set the bar very high for other green celebs. And he is, in many ways, the face of environmentally-minded Hollywood. Not only does he have his own foundation focused on finding sustainable options, but he also wrote, produced, and narrated “The 11th Hour,” a film about the dangers of global warming. Much like DiCaprio, Ed Norton is a well-known activist who has worked with charities that help bring attention to Mother Earth. Norton has also teamed up with the Enterprise Green Communities Initiative and BP’s Solar Neighbors program. He recently worked with Joe Jonas for the singer’s Change for the Children Foundation. Joe has been vocal about the ways his fans can help the planet. Last year, he recorded the song “Make a Wave” for the “Oceans” soundtrack, and he spoke MTV News about getting involved. “There [are] a lot of things that people can do to help out that they don’t really know about. The movie really … helps you understand what you can do. Whether it’s really taking your time and going to the beaches and helping out or whether it’s something at home, there’s so many different things that if we all do it together, just like anything else, we can make a big impact.” Alicia Silverstone, a vegan , continues to spread the word about eating sustainable foods. She released a cookbook, “The Kind Diet,” and shared with MTV News why she feels it’s important others eat in a way that’s both “kind” to the environment and their own bodies. “I started to glow, and people were like, ‘Why do you look so great?’ I felt so much better, and I used to take an asthma inhaler and I used to get allergy shots — and all that stuff went away. And my skin got great,” she explained. “So what I found was at first, I thought this was good karma.” Other well-known celebrity activists include Hayden Panettiere, Chace Crawford , Rosario Dawson and American Ferrera. DJ Quik, the Compton California OG producer and MC, has just released his eighth album The Book Of David. When Mr. David Blake spoke with hip-hop production site Nodfactor.com about the musical inspirations behind his latest work he took the time to explain how we see music as well as hear it. Take a look. There are more sonic colors on this record than I’m used to using. They’re complex, they’re moody, they’re emotive but they’re fun at the same time. It sounds like…I think of records like Donny Hathaway ….they have real red tones in them. And puce. They’re minor 9ths so they’re colorful and they make you feel something as soon as you hear em. As opposed to a C major or C minor chord, those are like blue notes in a sense. B Flats. In hip-hop “ Sweet Black P*ssy” is a red record. “Tonight” i s a bluish record it’s a like a burgundy bluish. “ Born And Raised In Compton ” is brown. It’s Isaac Hayes , his skin color and his record label. Just brown because that groove is so funky. The first Barkay’s band did that. The ones that crashed in that plane with Otis Redding . They were the house band for Stax. That’s where I sampled that sh*t from. Records like “ Luv of My Life” are reddish, greenish, orange. “Real Women” is clear, it’s colorless. It’s a white diamond. I sampled that from Dave Grushen and Angela Bofill . Don’t you love my range and my diversity? Quik also explains why he made the songs and the reason they were released first: Who doesn’t love John B? The last record we’ve heard him on was Tupac’s “Are You Still Down?” That’s not fair. John B means more to R&B than that, so why wouldn’t I support my brother and put him back on the radio where he belongs. It’s an ode to the women we really admire. I admire Sylvia Rhone . She’s beautiful to me. Debra Lee at BET. Cathy Hughes. We did it for women like that. Even though they’re a little out of my range, they got me in cougar town, but I still look up to fine women. Despite losing their appeal , Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss are STILL going after Mark Zuckerberg, saying he and Facebook ruthlessly defrauded them. The Winkelevoss twins are not giving up on their claims against Zuckerberg and the social networking site, which they claim was there idea originally. They point to two damning IMs as proof that Zuck f*%ked them. Zuckerberg and Facebook settled with the genetic freaks for $65 million, but they’ve been trying to undo the deal , on grounds of fraud, to obtain more. The Winklevii want a federal appellate court to reexamine their settlement with Facebook, acknowledge that the IMs are proof of fraud and nullify it. Tyler and Cameron claim Facebook intentionally withheld messages sent by Mark saying, “Yeah, I’m going to f**k them … probably in the [ear].” In another IM, Zuckerberg allegedly told a friend: “But [the twins] made a mistake haha. They asked me to make it for them. So I’m like delaying it so it won’t be ready until after the facebook comes out.” Maybe The Social Network was more accurate than we thought …
Tom Lippolis is doing everything he can to tarnish JWoww’s reputation. First, he relentlessly tried to hawk pics of JWoww nude , only to be turned aside by a court order. Now he’s accusing the Jersey Shore star of attacking him. Not a kind of standard, run-of-the-mill attack like when she beats down Sammi in Seaside Heights, either. He’s talking drunken knife-fight style! Tom alleges that on March 6, 2010, J-Woww got furious at him for taking a picture with a girl, and the argument escalated quickly and violently. “Jenni was screaming really hateful remarks,” he says . “She told me, ‘You’re a jerk and you’re an a**hole!’ We were screaming at each other.” From there, Tom says that JWoww – who’s now dating Roger Williams – grabbed a “short steak knife,” and she STABBED him in the arm! “My wounds resembled something out of one of those surgery TV shows – muscle completely cut and just hanging out of my skin,” he says. He alleges that after he cleaned himself up, he ran into JWoww once more, only to have the large-breasted one come after him again! “Jenni was holding the knife, with blood dripping off of it, in one hand and swinging a fireplace poker at me with the other,” he recalls. “I still have a hole in my elbow from where she impaled me.” Tom says when he returned from the hospital, J-Woww didn’t even apologize. As for why he didn’t call the cops after this alleged attack? “She basically told me that I made her do it,” he claims. “I should’ve gone to the police, but I wanted to guard her for some odd reason.” “I didn’t want to get her in trouble.” Anybody believe Tom Lippolis’ claims? Don’t get us wrong, JWoww coming at him with a red hot poker is something we can picture, but it seems far-fetched that it really happened.

The singer also got meat booties wrapped in butcher twine and a clutch with an antique brooch applied to the beef. Mr. Fernandez said the dress would not rot, but harden into “jerky.” Although the butcher suggested taxidermy, the designer said the dress would be immortalized in the “Gaga Archives.” The singer, who donned a meat bikini on the cover of Vogue Hommes Japan last week, told Ellen DeGeneres she meant “no disrespect to anyone that is vegan or vegetarian,” insisting it was a human-rights statement of sorts. Ms. DeGeneres, a vegan, then presented Gaga with a kale bikini. Ingrid E. Newkirk, president of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, was equally unimpressed. “What’s next: the family cat made into a hat?” she wrote in a statement Monday.
