Bristol Palin Sends Prayers to Alaska in Wake of Devastating Earthquake

Bristol Palin has taken a break from slamming her ex-husband in order to send a message of support to everyone in Alaska. On Friday morning, a 7.2 magnitude earthquake his Palin’s native state of Alaska, damaging highways, shaking buildings and focusing its power about eight miles north of Anchorage, the most populous city in the region. Governor Bill Walker issued a disaster declaration in response, while the Anchorage Police Department said the following in an official statement: “There is major infrastructure damage across Anchorage. Many homes and buildings are damaged. Many roads and bridges are closed.” As of this writing, no deaths have been reported. Thank goodness. Bristol, of course, hails from Wasilla, Alaska. However, she lives in Austin, Texas and was not around her friends, family members or loved ones up north when this natural diaster struck. But Palin says she was with them in spirit. And they are very much on her mind at the moment. “Just sick I’m not in Alaska to help my family and friends with the aftermath of the massive earthquake they had this morning, sending all the prayers to everyone affected,” she wrote on social media shortly after news of the incident went public. The Palin family resident is about 44 miles northeast of Anchorage and the compound was damaged during the earthquake. Such damage was confirmed by Bristol’s famous mother, former Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin. “Our family is intact – house is not… I imagine that’s the case for many, many others,” the former Alaska Governor wrote via Twitter, adding: “So thankful to be safe; praying for our state following the earthquake.” Elsewhere, Bristol’s younger sister, Willow, was left in shock and in pretty bad shape after the sort of frightening experience you must deal with first hand to fully comprehend. “Our house is a mess but our family is safe, very shook up! That was the scariest couple minutes of my life,” she wrote to followers. Bristol was out of the spotlight for many years, but has now joined the cast of Teen Mom OG on MTV. Not only had she joined it, but Palin has been at the forefront of nearly every episode, as viewers have watched her marriage to Dakota Meyer fall apart before their very eyes. It’s been pretty ugly, to be honest. “When you get rid of the cancer in your life, you can go live,” Meyer actually said recently about splitting from Bristol. Ouch, right? But now isn’t the time to relitigate the issues that faced this couple. Now is the time to join in with the thoughts and prayers being sent to the residents of Alaska. We’re thinking of you guys. George H.W. Bush Dies; Former President Was 94

George Herbert Walker Bush, the 41st president of the United States and the father of ex-Commander-in-Chief George W. Bush, died on Friday night. He was 94 years old. The sad news was confirmed yesterday by spokesperson Jim McGrath. “George Herbert Walker Bush, World War II naval aviator, Texas oil pioneer, and 41st President of the United States of America, died on November 30, 2018. “He was 94 and is survived by his five children and their spouses, 17 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and two siblings,” the former president’s office said in a statement. Concluded this message: “He was preceded in death by his wife of 73 years, Barbara; his second child Pauline “Robin” Bush; and his brothers Prescott and William or “Bucky” Bush.” Bush, a Republican who held the Oval Office for one term, was hospitalized back in April , just one day after laying his beloved wife to rest. He had contracted an infection at the time, but it’s too early right now to know the President’s cause of death. Son George W. spoke on behalf of his siblings with a statement of his own shortly after his father died on Friday.  It reads as follows: Jeb, Neil, Marvin, Doro, and I are saddened to announce that after 94 remarkable years, our dear Dad has died. George H. W. Bush was a man of the highest character and the best dad a son or daughter could ask for. The entire Bush family is deeply grateful for 41’s life and love, for the compassion of those who have cared and prayed for Dad, and for the condolences of our friends and fellow citizens. Funeral details will be announced in the coming days, McGrath also noted. On Twitter, meanwhile, President Trump wrote the following: “President George H.W. Bush led a long, successful and beautiful life.  “Whenever I was with him I saw his absolute joy for life and true pride in his family. His accomplishments were great from beginning to end. “He was a truly wonderful man and will be missed by all!” He and wife Melania also released a lengthy statement that we have included below: Prior to his time as the most powerful man in the world, the Massachusetts native served as an aviator in the Navy and flew 58 combat missions during World War II. He was awarded three Air Medals and the Distinguished Flying Cross. Bush then served as Vice President for eight years to Ronald Reagan. He was a congressman, ambassador to China and director of central intelligence, receiving the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2011. The former President’s death comes just eight months after his wife of 73 years, Barbara, died on April 17. Even after her passing, Bush remained devoted to his late wife, sitting beside her casket for hours in his wheelchair as mourners paid their respects while she lay in repose one day before her invitation-only funeral. The photos of his tribute made their way around the Internet at the time. Bush’s grandchildren affectionately nicknamed him “Gampy,” and Bush Hager has said on The Today Show that her grandfather “really is one of the most humble, wonderful men.” We send our condolences to his loved ones. May George H.W. Bush rest in peace. View Slideshow: Celebrities Who Died in 2018: In Memoriam

Tristan Thompson Tries to Be Sweet to Khloe Kardashian, Gets SO MUCH HATE

Is there anyone out there who still likes Tristan Thompson? Like, is there even one single person who thinks he’s a decent guy? It really doesn’t seem that way, but that’s fine — he definitely did it to himself, after all. Lots of people didn’t like him all the way back in 2016 when he first started dating Khloe Kardashian. Mostly because he was expecting a child with another woman when they got together, and there’s just no way for that kind of situation to be good. But as time went on, Tristan really earned that bad rap. We all know what happened — he cheated on Khloe while she was pregnant, at least twice. Once early in the pregnancy with some girls at a hookah bar in D.C., and once at a rooftop bar in Manhattan just days before she went into labor. Both of those weird little affairs happened when he was traveling with the Cleveland Cavaliers. And in both cases, we only know about his bad behavior because of video evidence. So really, who knows how many times he’s cheated on her ? It’s all sad and uncomfortable and so many bad things, but Khloe has chosen to stay with him, and so here we are. We still have to hear about him, we still have to see him … It’s really very unfortunate for those of us who do keep up with the Kardashians. For the most part, Tristan lays low these days, outside of his NBA career, of course. But on Thanksgiving, he shared a little family photo featuring Khloe, True, and himself. And he probably really regrets that now. “I’m soo blessed,” he captioned the photo. “Happy Thanksgiving from my family to yours.” His followers wasted no time in ripping him to shreds. Many of them pointed out that Tristan’s son isn’t in the picture or even mentioned. “Did you post a pic of your son stating that you’re blessed!???” one of those people asked. “You need Koko around for your own personal image.” “You only know your celebrity kid,” someone else commented. “Maybe if Prince was famous you would of spend time with him.” Lots of Khloe fans speculated that Tristan really is thankful … “thankful she took u back lmao,” one person joked. Finally, a follower summed things up pretty perfectly by writing “You’re still garbage.” Isn’t he, though? At this point, there’s really nothing he can to change everyone’s opinion about him , but again, he did all of this to himself. View Slideshow: Tristan Thompson: CAUGHT with Two New Women! We feel sorry for Khloe for having to deal with all of this, and we feel sorry for True for the things she’ll probably hear about her father when she gets a bit older. But Tristan? No sympathies here, bud.

Devin Lima: Mourned by Last Living Member of LFO

Brad Fischetti is a man in mourning. On Wednesday, Devin Lima, a singer with the former boy band LFO, died after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was only 41 years old. Prior to Lima’s diagnosis just over a year ago, he and Fischetti were scheduled to go on tour, a plan that obviously had to be scrapped once Lima’s discovered he was sick. Several hours after news of Lima’s death went public, Fischetti issued a statement of mourning. “Devin, as the world knows him, was an extraordinary talent, a doting father to his six children, and a loving partner to their mother,” Brad told E! News, adding in sad detail: “He was a beloved son and brother and a friend to so many. “On behalf of the LFO family, thank you for the tremendous outpouring of love from friends, family, fans, media, and those in the music industry.” Lima’s passing, following his struggle with stage four adrenal cancer, came eight years after band mate Rich Cronin died at age 36 after battling leukemia. Fischetti is the only member of this group still alive. To conclude his statement to E!, Fischetti relayed the final conversation he had with his close friend and fellow musician. “A few days before [Devin] passed away he said to me, ‘Bro, when it’s over, just tell them I disappeared.’ My friends, Harold ‘Devin’ Lima has disappeared.” Such a tragedy. In 2017, Fischetti and Lima had performed as an LFO duo, releasing the track “Perfect 10” and playing multiple shows together. “We were in the midst of planning the 2nd and 3rd legs of the tour when Devin was diagnosed with a very large tumor in his abdomen,” Fischetti explained on his website last year. On Twitter, he then asked fans to pray “4 Devin please.” An endless array of these prayers were passed along in the difficult months since. Lima joined LFO in the late 1990s, joining founding members Fischetti and Cronin. The group became famous for singles such as “Summer Girls” and “Girls on TV.” Brian “Brizz” Gillis, a founding member of the group who left before Lima came on board, wrote the following on Facebook yesterday shortly after Lima’s death became known: “Lost for words!! God takes the great ones I guess. I am in awe!!!” May Devin Lima rest in peace. View Slideshow: 33 Musicians Who Died Too Young

Briana DeJesus: I Wish Javi the Best. No, Really!

Briana DeJesus would like your attention please. She would like you to focus on your computer screen and read her words carefully, okay? Because she really does not want to address this topic again. DeJesus has spoken to In Touch Weekly and tried to make her opinion on ex-boyfriend Javi Marroquin has clear as possible. The Teen Mom 2 star knows what’s being written about her at the moment and she’d really like to put an end to those rumors — right here, right now, once and for all. So here she goes: “To be clear I am only responding to this because it’s continuing to be in the press and hence I’m being asked about it,” Briana tells the aforementioned tabloid, adding for emphasis: “I never said anyone cheated on me. That never came out my mouth.” DeJesus is correct in thiis statement. And this is why she felt a need to make it… On November 15, Javi welcomed his second son into the world and his first with girlfriend Lauren Comeau. The boy’s name is Eli and even ex-wife Kailyn Lowry Tweeted “congrats” to Marroquin. But Briana did not do so. Instead, she wrote one simple sentence on social media that made many folks think she was accusing Javi of cheating on her early in 2018. This is what she wrote: DeJesus is referencing a plastic surgery procedure she had done in Florida. As loyal Teen Mom viewers may recall, Javi flew down to The Sunshine State at the time to be with her and to try and salvage their relationship. This was about 10 months before Comeau gave birth to Marroquin’s child, meaning Javi and her must have gotten busy right around the same time as he was visting Briana. So he’s a giant CHEATER, right? Wrong, DeJesus now clarifies. “People asked me what was my timeline and I said February 1st was the day I got my  urgery,” the MTV star says to In Touch, adding that folks drew their own conclusions fromn there. For the record, it’s true. The timeline doesn’t exactly add up. Comeau was due on December 1 (she was induced early due to some complications) and nine months prior that would be March 1. There is a window in there in which Javi could have been broken up from Briana at the time he shagged Lauren. “Nothing has ever come out of my mouth specifically where I said he cheated on me,” Briana says now. “My relationship with Javi is LONG in the past.” Both sides habe obviously moved one. Javi has a new child and a steady girlfriend. Briana is also in a relationship and doesn’t wish to continually revisit a romance that fizzled out so long ago. “I wish Lauren and Javi the best with their new child,” she tells In Touch. “As far as I’m concerned, this is a dead issue and I’m continuing to move forward in my life with positivity and people around me that make me happy. “And that’s that.” Well said all around, Briana. For Comeau’s part, she has mostly remained silent since getting together with Marroquin. But she did feel a need to speak out after her son’s dad was accused of being dishonest and unethical. “I’ll tell you the day we conceived. March 10! We know the timeline,” Comeau told Radar Online this week, adding: “There was no possible way of cheating.” She also had a few harsh words for DeJesus. Demi Lovato: Did Her Mom Make Her Dump Henry Levy?!

It’s been just over two weeks since Demi Lovato left rehab , and by all accounts, the singer remains fully committed to the hard work of recovery. But that doesn’t mean there haven’t been any roadblocks along the way. Until recently, Demi was dating Henry Levy , a fashion designer whom she had reportedly known for years but had just become close with in rehab. Experts advise against romantic relationships for anyone who’s new to sobriety, but Demi’s new relationship was particularly troubling due to the fact that Levy is also a recovering addict . So perhaps it should come as no surprise that Demi’s beloved mother, Dianna Hart, has encouraged her to step away from Levy for the time being. And by “encouraged” we mean “demanded.” “Demi’s mom, as well as her entire family, wanted Henry out of the picture the minute that they saw the two of them together,” a source close to Dianna tells Radar. “Henry is newly sober and he is not the type of guy that Demi should be associating herself with right now,” the insider adds. “Several people have come to Dianna and told her that he is not a good influence since the two were seen together.”  Unfortunately, it seems it’s not just Levy who has Demi’s loved ones concerned these days. According to the insider, Demi didn’t miss a beat in returning to her active social life, and the 25-year-old “still runs in those Hollywood circles that Dianna wants her daughter to avoid.” While no one is claiming that Lovato is using again, the source says there are widespread concerns that she’s falling back in with the type of people who landed her in trouble previously: “Demi is acting on her own accord again and everyone is worried sick,” the insider says. “There is only so much that her family can do. The rest is up to her.” One promising sign is that Demi has fired Dani Vitale , the backup dancer who she reportedly partying with at the time of her overdose. Of course, steering clear of one bad influence won’t be enough. The world is just full of them — especially when you’re rich, famous, and prone to addiction. We wish Demi all the best in her continued recovery. View Slideshow: Demi Lovato: Everything We Know About Her Overdose So Far

The Voice Recap: Which Two Singers Got Sent Home?

The Voice continued the process of whittling down the contestants as we are fast approaching the season finale.  With Monday’s performance show giving fans much of the same as the 13 hopefuls continued to sing as best they could, it was time for two to be sent home during Tuesday’s results show.  As is the norm with these overstuffed episodes, there were performances that were dull and thrown in there just to pad out the episode.  But who got sent to safety? Sent to Safety Reagan Strange (Team Adam) Kirk Jay (Team Blake) Kennedy Holmes (Team Jennifer) Chevel Shepherd (Team Kelly) Chris Kroeze (Team Blake) DeAndre Nico (Team Adam) Kymberli Joye (Team Kelly) MaKenzie Thomas (Team Jennifer) Dave Fenley (Team Blake) Sarah Grace (Team Kelly) That left Lynnea Moorer, SandyRedd, and Tyke James to duke it out for that final spot in the live shows.  SandyRedd (Team Jennifer) – “Believer” With some of the best vocals this season, Sandy Redd’s performance was mediocre at best. Viewers know she can sing, but it sounded like there were technical issues with this one.  It was like the show was purposefully making her sound worse, and that’s a big no-no.  Tyke James (Team Adam) – “Home” Tyke was saved by his coach last week, but after some more terrible performances, he’s back in the bottom two. It’s hardly surprising.  He’s not a great singer, and he continued to drive that home during this dud of number. Did he do enough to make it through?  Not a chance in hell.  Lynnea Moorer (Team Kelly) – “If I Ain’t Got You” Lynnea returned to the bottom on Tuesday. Initially, she never got a chair to turn at the Blinds, so she went on to move to the Comeback Stage.  Her vocals improved for sure, but SandyRedd was still the best performer out of these three save me ones.  In the end, Lynnea got yet another reprieve while SandyRedd and Tyke James were sent home.  Okay then.  The Voice continues Mondays on NBC.  View Slideshow: The Voice Winners: RANKED!

Robert De Niro and Grace Hightower: It’s Over After More Than 20 Years

As much as we enjoy acting legend Robert De Niro’s feuding with Donald Trump , De Niro has now entered a very different conflict. He and his wife, Grace Hightower, have reportedly separated and are living apart. The couple has been married for more than two decades. People reports that Robert De Niro and Grace Hightower have separated. Having married in 1997, the two of them have been together for more than twenty years. Now, they are apparently living apart. As for the reason why, People ‘s report really can’t say. All that their source reveals is that: “Sometimes things don’t work out the way you hope or want them to.” That is certainly true. De Niro is 75. Hightower is 63. The couple shares a 20-year-old son, Elliott, and a 6-year-old daughter, Helen Grace. Their daughter was born via surrogate. Notably, this is not the first time that the couple has split. In 1999, just two years after getting married and one year after their son was born, De Niro filed for divorce. The couple also engaged in a custody dispute over Elliott, who was a baby at the time. Ultimately, they reconciled, never finalizing their divorce. In 2004, they renewed their vows. De Niro has been married once before. In 1976, he married Diahnne Abbott. Together, they have a son named Raphael. De Niro also adopted Diahnne’s daughter, Drena De Niro. It is through these two that De Niro has four grandchildren. He split from Diahnne in 1988. In 1995, he had twin sons, Aaron Kendrick and Julian Henry de Niro. They were conceived via in vitro fertilization and delivered via surrogate during his relationship with Toukie Smith. Despite his generally very good political views, De Niro has not been without controversy. Part of that controversy arose from De Niro’s interest in autism, as his son Elliott is autistic. Most infamously, in 2016, many of his fans felt betrayed when he supported Vaxxed for the Tribeca Film Festival. Vaxxed is an absurd “documentary” that purportes a widely debunked theory that there’s been a cover-up over a causal link between vaccines and autism. De Niro ultimately withdrew his recommendation after discussing the film with the scientific community. (Obviously, not only do vaccines not cause autism, but even if they did, only a monster would prefer a dead neurotypical child to a living and healthy autistic kid) It came to light that Andrew Wakefield, the film’s infamous director, had been in contact with Hightower. Wakefield reportedly told the couple “your family’s life [has] been blighted by autism.” Sometimes people with special agendas target celebrities with misinformation in order to gain a platform for their ideas. Has fallout over this disagreement played a role in the downfall of this marriage? We honestly have no idea. They’ve been married since 1997, folks. All relationships, all marriages, end one way or another. Perhaps it is simply time for them to move on. Or maybe they’ll work things out again and, in a few years, they’ll renew their vows. We wish their entire family the best. View Slideshow: 19 Most Bitter Breakups in Hollywood History
