Game of Thrones Season 8 Premiere SHATTERS Ratings Records!

After a wait that felt as long as winter north of the Wall, Game of Thrones returned for its final season on Sunday night. And if you spent the evening cringing when Jon made out with his aunt, or cheering when Bran stared daggers into Jaime’s soul, you certainly had plenty of company. The numbers for the premiere of Game of Thrones Season 8 are in — and they are staggering. Across all platforms (HBO, HBO GO and HBO NOW), a whopping 17.4 million people tuned in on Sunday night. And that number is certain to grow as more viewers return to Winterfell in the days to come. It’s officially GoT’s biggest episode to date, edging out the Season 7 finale , which drew in a then-unbelievable 16.9 million viewers. What may be even more surprising than the multi-platform numbers is the fact that more than 11 million people watched the premiere the old-fashioned way — by sitting down in front of the TV and turning on HBO. That’s the sort of event viewing that rarely happens anymore — and it’s what every network exec prays to the Seven Gods for. It’s also just one of many ways in which Thrones is a throwback juggernaut in the ratings department. These days, even popular shows tend to limp along and lose viewers as they reach the seven or eight season mark. But not Game of Thrones . GoT ratings have been climbing steadily since the very start, beginning with a comparatively paltry 9.3 million in Season 1 and swelling to a whopping 32.8 million for Season 7. (Those figures incorporate delayed viewing, on-demand, and streaming figures.) For comparison, huge network hits like This Is Us and The Big Bang Theory very rarely crack 20 million live viewers — and GoT is putting up similar numbers on a subscription service. In terms of the response from viewers, the premiere was met with overwhelming acclaim. Though there were a few holdouts who seemed to expect more after such a lengthy absence (The Game of Thrones Season 7 finale aired way back in August of 2017.), and felt that the installment had the feeling of a “place-setting” episode that was more concerned with setting the stage for things to come than with delivering an explosive hour of television. And to that we say, [SPOILER ALERT] only Game of Thrones could deliver dragons, zombies, revelations of incest, characters reuniting after seven seasons, and other major characters crossing paths for the very first time — and still have viewers demanding more. Notre Dame Cathedral Burns, Hollywood Reacts in Horror

One of the world's most famous landmarks will soon be no more. This is the horrible reality we now face, as Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris caught fire on Monday, April 15, igniting into flames that appear to be threatening to topple the entire antique building. Such a targedy has caught the attention of anyone who has visited this religious building in France, along with anyone remotely familiar with its history. This includes many celebrities, of course. Scroll down to learn more about Notre Dame Cathedral and to see what these famous peoplea are saying about it… 1. What’s the History Here? Construction on Notre Dame cathedral started in 1160 under Bishop Maurice de Sully and was largely completed by 1260, although it was modified often in the following centuries. 2. You’ve Probably Seen It, Even If You Don’t Realize It The cathedral ahs been the subject of or has inspired numerous works, such as Hugo’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame and its 1996 Disney film adaption. 3. Move Over, Eiffel Tower Approximately 12 million people visit Notre Dame annually, making it the most visited monument in Paris. 4. This is Awful. What Happened? It’s not entirely clear, but construction next door appears to have played a role in the accidental fire. As you can see, Twitter has been keeping folks up to date with tragic updates. 5. Was Anyone Hurt? No injuries or deaths were reported as a result of the fire, which broke out minutes after the church closed to the public for the day. Aaron Carter: I’m Finally Ready to Share My Truth About Michael Jackson

Just a few weeks ago, Aaron Carter threatened one of Michael Jackson’s accusers in a shocking video. However, after he’s had time to cool off and think about things, he appears to have changed his tune — dramatically. Aaron has now revealed that he has his own untold “experience” with Michael Jackson. TMZ   caught up with Aaron Carter to ask him about the chilling Michael Jackson documentary, Leaving Neverland . His interviewer wanted to know if he thought that the doc should be pulled from streaming and buried. “I mean, to be honest, after seeing everyone’s story unfold,” Aaron begins. He admits: “I was a little aggressive when I talked about it at first.” That is a bit of an understatement. It wasn’t so long ago that Aaron told TMZ that he wanted to punch Wade Robson over his words in Leaving Neverland . Aaron continues, making it clear that his view has softend considerably since he shared his heated words. “I mean,” he says. “Everyone has their own stories.” “And,” he observes. “Everyone has their own situations.” “So,” he admits. “I can’t really take away from that.” We think that he’s saying that he has no right to silence someone who is speaking out. Especially when he has come to realize that he cannot disprove their claims with his own experience. “I don’t know,” Aaron affirms. “So I can’t be like ‘I was there.'” Unless it’s on a specific date, you can’t testify to witnessing someone not molesting a child. But Aaron is going further than that. “In regards to that situation,” he reveals. “I actually have my own experience.” He is referring very vaguely to something “that happened with Michael.” “So,” Aaron promises. “I’mma be talking about that in the future.” The TMZ interviewer addresses the subject as delicately as possible, asking: “like … abuse?” “You’re just gonna have to find out when I talk about it,” Aaron replies. Aaron adds: “I’m doing a book about my whole life,” “And,” Aaron continues. “I think it’s appropriate to [write] about my experience with Michael.” But then he adds a line: “I’ll always have his back.” Is Aaron planning to come forward with a claim that Michael Jackson sexually preyed upon him when he was a child? Coupled with the line about having the late singer’s back, he could be suggesting that he forgives Michael for whatever alleged offense. Or, as some fear, is he promising to share his own “experience” as a sort of buy-my-book clickbait . He could be planning to address a situation that could have looked to others like something inappropriate, but was innocent. But we won’t know whether he’s coming to MJ’s defense or leveling an accusation of his own (or both, somehow) until the book comes out. Poor Aaron Carter has had a number of major obstacles in his life. His parents are widely believed to be among the worst sorts of “stage parents” one can imagine. At a young age, Aaron was catapulted to mega fame, but doesn’t have the luxurious fortune to show for it. As an adult, he has had an often strained relationship with his brother, Nick. Combined with concerns over his mental and physical health and some of his more outlandish statements, a lot of people worry about him. Jenelle Evans: No More Kids for Me! My Baby Factory is CLOSED!

Is Jenelle Evans a good mother? LOL, just kidding. Jenelle basically shot to reality superstardom because she wasn't a good mother — she was actually really, really bad at it. The first season of Teen Mom 2 was an absolute disaster when it came to her scenes, and since then, she's had two more children. Have things gotten better? Sure. But better certainly doesn't mean good. And that's why the latest news concerning Jenelle's reproductive systen is just so, so great. 1. A Sincere Nightmare So Jenelle’s parenting skills … yeah, they’re not so great. 2. Poor Jace After she gave birth to her first child, Jace, when she was 17 years old, and a few months later she lost custody of him to her mother. 3. Come On Now The issue was that she just didn’t understand that you have to, like, take care of a baby — she honestly thought she could leave her newborn at home and party all night because he’d be sleeping anyway. 4. True She once said that Jace didn’t need her because he had her mom, and that was true — Barbara stepped up to take care of him, and she’s never stopped. 5. Sure For several years, Jenelle kept talking about how she was going to get Jace back without ever really putting in any work to reach that goal. Instead, she got arrested several times and developed a heroin addiction. 6. Weird Move She did eventually settle down a little bit — she kicked heroin, at least — but instead of putting her time and energy into getting things together for Jace, she just had another kid with a guy she’d known for a few weeks. Briana DeJesus: Devoin Austin Almost KILLED Our Daughter!

If you've been keeping up with Briana DeJesus for any amount of time, then you know that she has troubled relationships with both of her children's fathers. Stella's dad, Luis, is basically just a deadbeat. But Briana's relationship with Devoin Austin, Nova's father, has always been a little more complicated. We've seen Devoin try to be more active in Nova's life only to be pushed away by Briana, but in the current season of Teen Mom 2, things have been changing. They're actually getting along now, believe it or not, and it's been nice to see. Except everything's changed over a scary incident last week … an incident in which Nova could have literally died. What's going on?! 1. Jumping Right In There’s so much to get through here, so let’s just get right to it — last week, Briana tweeted something about how she wished she could show her girls’ fathers “what parenting is really like,” and when someone said that Devoin at least could step up, she replied with “No he couldn’t. He f-cked up big time and I’ll never trust him again.” 2. Uh Oh Later, she added “Lol I gave that man an inch and he took a whole f-cking yard and ducked up bad and Nova is never allowed to be with him alone again.” 3. One Day … Her followers wanted to know what happened, because of course they did, but she said “One day you guys will see what happened, til now there’s no reason to sell this story to the press. I just wanna move on with my life.” 4. Surprise! But it turns out that “one day” will just be in a few weeks when the Teen Mom 2 reunion show airs. We know that because someone in attendance revealed on Reddit that “Bri is pissed at Devoin right now because of something that happened last week, but Devoin owned up to it and the crowd loved him.” 5. Oh Wow The person then elaborated by explaining “He got really drunk on one of Nova’s visits, which was supposed to be an overnight. They were at a pool while he was drunk and apparently Nova can’t swim. Bri picked Nova up – nothing happened to her, but now Bri isn’t comfortable with Nova going there alone.” 6. And Here We Go So that’s a pretty big deal, right? And that’s what set off the insane rant Briana went on last night. View Slideshow

Ian Cognito, British Comedian, Dies On Stage

Ian Cognito, a popular British stand-up comedian, passed away on Thursday night while performing a routine at the Atic bar in Bicester, England. He was 60 years old. According to the bar’s owner, Ryan Mold, per an interview with CNN, Cognito “sat down” at one point in his set, “put his head and arms back; his shoulders were twitching.” The crowd presumed it was part of his act initially, as Cognito had joked about his health shortly beforehand. “Imagine if I died in front of you lot here,” he actually, incredibly told attendees. An ambulance was quickly called after it was clear this was a serious situation because a fellow comedian realized something was legitimately wrong. Cognito was pronounced dead at the scene upon the arrival of the paramedics. Andrew Bird, who runs the Lone Wolf Comedy Club, told BBC News that Cognito was not feeling well before he went on stage, yet he wanted to perform anyway.  Cognito began performing as a comic in the mid-1980s. He was best known for envelope-pushing comedy, claiming to have been banned from more clubs than any other comedian in all of Great Britain. One of his signature bits involved hammering a nail into the wall and hanging his hat on it. “This lets you know two things about me,” he explained. “Firstly, I really don’t give a sh-t. Secondly, I’ve got a hammer.” That’s pretty funny. Cognito earned Time Out Comedy Award in 1999, earning respect of countless comedians over the years. Many of them paid tribute to him on social media after learning of Cognito’s death. Tweeted Jack Whitehall: “Gigged with him when i first started out and he was always so much fun, had his own mythology on the circuit his exploits where [sic] legendary. A true maverick. Hope he’s found somewhere to hang his coat in heaven.” And Jimmy Carr: “I’ll never forget his kindness when I started out & how god damn funny he was.” And Matt Lucas: “He was always kind to me when I started out, and brilliant and provocative and entirely original onstage. What a loss.” We echo the sentiments of those who knew Ian Cognito. We send our condolences to his friends, family members and loved ones. May he rest on stage. Wendy Williams Divorce Drama: What Does Her Filing Reveal?

As previously reported, it is all over for Wendy Williams and Kevin Hunter . AT LAST. In the wake of this announcement, we have a handful of updates about the talk show host finally splitting from her terrible husband, starting with details from her divorce filing… In court papers obtained from a New Jersey Court house by Radar Online, Williams completed her documents and filed her complaint for divorce from Hunter on Wednesday, April 10. She cited irreconcilable differences as the basis for the couple’s split. “There exists irreconcilable differences between the parties, which have caused the breakdown of the marriage for a period of six (6) months and which make it appear that the marriage should be dissolved as there is no reasonable prospect of reconciliation,” the paper read, adding: This would appear to be the understatement of the century. According to numerous outlets, Hunter has been cheating on Williams with a woman named Sharina Hudson for several years. Williams acknowledged these rumors on occasion, never truly shooting them down on her progra, but simply confirming to viewers that she was committed to her marriage for the rest of time. So… what happened? Hudson allegedly got pregnant by Hunter… Williams suffered a relapse and ended up in a sober living facility… Hudson then gave birth to Hunter’s baby … and Williams them got so drunk in response that she was rushed to the hospital. So, basically, a lot happened. Too much for Williams to remain in the marriage. Williams is demanding the marriage be dissolved, that the court equitably divide the parties’ marital property and that the appropriate amount of child support be established, based on these documents. Williams married Hunter on November 30, 1999 in a civil ceremony in New Jersey. They share an 18-year old son named Kevin. After news of this divorce went viral, fans wondered what Williams would say about the decision on air. Would she mention it at all? Yes, in very broad terms. “Honey, I have got a situation going on. We’ve got to get this show done quickly,” Williams said during Friday’s Wendy Williams Show, which was taped on Thursday, April 11. She added: “My ankles and my feet are swelling as we speak. … This here is embarrassing.” While she did open up about her body part “situation,” Williams did not bring up the divorce news specifically. But it’s out there, of course. And Williams has been receiving some support from other talk show hosts in the wake of the break-up. “I think if everything that’s alleged is true, it’s about damn time,” Sheryl Underwood declared yesterday’s installment of The Talk. “We wish her the best,” Sara Gilbert added on this same show. The View also touched on Wendy’s drama, with Meghan McCain telling viewers and her co-panelists: “This is a woman who looks like she’s in a lot of pain. I wish her nothing but love and compassion. “Being vulnerable on TV — when she was talking about living in a halfway house, I actually cried when I watched it. … She’s in a lot of pain. She’s a real talent. I wish her nothing but compassion and love, and I hope she comes back to her show better and stronger than ever. “Screw that guy. She doesn’t need him!” Joy Behar mentioned how Hunter also cheated on Williams in 2001, after she gave birth to their son, while Abby Huntsman delivered a message to Williams that reads as follows: “We are rooting for you. Kendra Caldwell: Did Joseph Duggar Really STEAL Her From His Brother Jedidiah?!

Earlier this week, we learned that Kendra Caldwell is pregnant with her second child . The news came as a surprise to fans, as Joseph Duggar’s wife just welcomed her first child  in June of 2018. Of course, the Duggars are unusual in their devotion to procreation, but that’s not the only way in they’re unlike other families. As you’re probably aware, the Duggar courtship rules comprise a bizarre custom designed to pair up young couples — very young couples, in some cases — to ensure that they’ll be able to begin breeding as early as possible. The majority of Duggar courtships result in marriage — but that’s not always the case. The most famous example of a Counting On romance that did not go according to plan is the courtship of Josiah Duggar and Marjorie Jackson , which resulted in a secretive breakup. But it looks as though that’s not the only instance in which a Duggar parted ways with his first courtship partner. In June of 2017, The Hollywood Gossip interviewed a former employee of the Duggars’ who informed us that prior to her relationship with Joseph, Kendra was courted by Jedidiah Duggar . The tipster told us that Joseph took an interest in Kendra during her relationship with his brother, and he promptly “bumped [Jedidiah] out.” Understandably, there was a period of hostility between the brothers that ended only when Jed wrote a letter granting his blessing for Joe to pursue a relationship with Kendra. Jed is four years younger than Joseph, and that may have entered into Jim Bob’s thinking when it came time to help settle the conflict between brothers. The Duggars are part of the Quiverfull movement, which holds that it’s the responsibility of every Christian to have as many children as possible in order to populate the Earth with believers. As such, Jim Bob would likely prefer to see his 22-year-old married off before his 18-year-old son, with the thinking that the younger brother still has plenty of time to find a partner. For obvious reasons, the Duggars worked hard to bury this scandal, and for the most part, they were successful in doing so.  Our source tells us this is far from the only time that the family swept such an incident under the carpet, knowing it wouldn’t sit well with their conservative fan base. “There’s a whole world that goes on that really isn’t so,” says the insider. “When the cameras aren’t rolling, it’s a whole different life.” The insider confirmed that Jim Bob has worked hard to create an illusory world that’s to the liking of millions of fans over the years. He sees his role as a media mogul as his divine calling, and the millions he’s made as a TV star as his reward for spreading his unique gospel. And Jim Bob will reportedly do anything in his power to prevent his carefully-constructed facade from crumbling, including burying any sign of an awkward love triangle.
