Colin Hanks Just Shared the Coolest Luke Perry Story Ever

In the wake of  Luke Perry’s tragic death on Monday, countless celebrities have paid tribute to the last star. Each has been legitimate and heartfelt, of course, but most have also simply rundown the same sentiments of sadness and shock. This is why Colin Hanks and the story he has shared on Instagram truly stands out. The actor has found a way to not only honor what sort of man Perry was… … but also to make followers laugh out loud and to realize that Perry was just as cool in real life as he was while portraying Dylan McKay on Beverly Hills, 90210. “I only met him once but the story is too good not tell given todays sad events,” Hanks wrote late yesterday, teasing the incredible tale he was about to share. He then dove right into it as follows: “My wife and I are on a plane back from Mexico. Couple of rows ahead of us, these two brothers, young kids, are beating the hell out of each other. Their poor parents are powerless to stop the crying, yelling and screaming. “If you’re a parent you understand. Sometimes there’s nothing you can do. It was like this for close to two hours.” Yup. We’ve certainly been there. Go on, Colin… Then about 10 minutes before landing it starts to get real bad. Out of no where, a man comes from first class. Hat, beard, sunglasses, blowing up a balloon. He ties it off, hands it off like he’s holding out a sword to a king. Kneeling, Head down, arms up. Kids calm down in milliseconds. Plane damn near bursts into applause. 15 minutes longer and it probably would have started WWIII, but we landed before that could happen. As we post Hanks’ story about Perry, we’re also gonna post a few more stories about Perry that have gone viral in the day since his passing. For instance: Back to Hanks now, though: We get off the plane, are waiting on line in customs. Finally get a good look at the guy and I say to my wife “Holy shit. I think that balloon man/hero” is Luke Perry”. As luck would have it we end up standing next to each other. And now another amazing story about Perry: Again, back to Hanks: Out of the blue he turns to me and says some kind words about Fargo, which kinda blew my mind. I start singing his praises about how long I’ve admired him and also about the move with the balloon. ” That’s a pro move! You can’t teach that!” I say. He tells me he always flies with a couple of balloons for that very reason, to give to screaming kids. Don’t know if that’s true, but have no reason to believe it wasn’t. And now another incredible story about Perry: This is how Hanks concluded his message: Guy seemed like a true gent. Gone way too damn soon. Also, I’ll be damned if I don’t start traveling with some spare balloons. Wow, right? Just…. wow. It’s sad any time we lose an icon, someone whose career made us smile or cry or simply sit up in appreciation. But it really does sound like we lost an original in Luke Perry. Paola Mayfield: Mom-Shamed After Doing THIS to Her Baby!!

As 90 Day Fiance star Paola Mayfield recently confessed , motherhood is difficult. Unfortunately, trolls can make that even worse. Recently, she got mom-shamed by one of the most dangerous, insidious groups on the entire internet: anti-vaxxers. Why? Because baby Axel received his first vaccination and she dared to share it. Paola Mayfield shared this precious breastfeeding photo, but that’s not what attracted (most of) the mom-shaming. “My baby boy had his first vaccination today,” Paola shares.  At 2 months old, this could be for any number of things, including polio. This is a standard age at which to begin vaccinations. “Axel was so brave just like his mommy,” Paol praises. She then shares something worrisome: “@russ_mayfield has been reading The Vaccine Book by Dr. Sears.” That book is notoriously filled with information that is not embraced by the medical community. “We have decided that we want to give our son specific vaccinations and avoid potential risks and side effects,” she reveals. Hmmm. On the positive side, Pao includes some very important tags: “#provaccine #proinformation.” Some of her commenters replied, including one who wrote “brave.” “Certain people tend to be nasty about anything I do,” Pao admits. “So I’m used to dealing with this lol.” Another commented that it must have been hard for her to watch her baby get a shot. “I was already crying before he got it,” Paola admits. “But then I was so proud [at] how brave he was!” “He didn’t cry much,” Pao shares. “And I had my boob ready for him. That helped a lot!” One commenter scolded Paola for vaccinating Axel, even if she may be skipping a shot or two. “Unfortunately,” warns this unintentionally hilarious comment. “It only takes one.” “Did it ever occur to you that Big PHARMA profits from our illness,” writes another wingnut. That comment continues: “and the government agencies struggle and fail at preventing them from harming the public?” “Paola you going to see when you baby boy I change after the vaccine ! And maybe get the autism too,” accuses another. That commenter adds: “poor baby ! My baby almost die after his shot never I vaccin me and my baby or my dogs.” “My grandma had measles lived to see another day this is a joke just like everyone’s scared of the flu your programmed,” another bonkers comment reads. Notably, the so-and-so survived argument is known as survivor bias .  “That’s funny,” claims another. “Because it’s a well known fact that vaccines suppress the immune system.” No. “By the way, vaccines shed,” that same commenter continues falsely. “So newly vaccinated people are actually the ones spreading it.” ( No vaccines on the furniture during shedding season!) “Enjoy your viruses and diseases!” concludes this poorly informed individual. “I’ve done my research. You obviously haven’t.” Paola also received (plenty of) comments from ardent supporters. “BRAVO Paola & Russ you just block all those haters and anti-vaccination activists and people who are sending you hate mail,” writes one. “Oh that’s a hard day for mommy,” agrees another. “Doing great protecting your baby with vaccines.” That same commenter adds: “All my kids, grandchildren have been vaccinated and they are perfect.” Study after study after study reminds people that vaccines are effective, generally very safe, and vital — but anecdotes don’t hurt. “I’m not trying to be a troll, but I am a registered nurse as is my husband,” writes a concerned supporter. “I believe that educating yourself on vaccines is thee best,” she affirms. She notes: “do you know that dr Sears …his license is on probation for giving exemptions to vaccination to children that he has never seen or examined.” “I would be careful about misinformation about vaccines,” another cautions. “Dr Sears is was under investigation and almost had his medical license revoked for medical negligence,” that commenter warns. It’s true. Paola’s tag may be pro-vaccination, but the book Russ is reading is said to be on the medical fringes, at best. Derick Dillard: Driving Away the Duggars’ Closest Friends?

Earlier today, we explored the question of why Jill Duggar is hated by so many Counting On viewers. Now, it’s time to answer the much simpler question of why Duggar fans are so often critical of Derick Dillard. As you’re probably aware, Derick was fired from Counting On  back in 2017 after launching a bigoted bullying campaign against fellow TLC star Jazz Jennings. Needless to say, many fans of the Duggar clan were not terribly thrilled by the situation. And it seems some of Jim Bob and Michelle’s closest friends also took issue with Derick’s behavior on social media. For over a decade, the Duggars have been close friends with the Bates family, stars of WeTV’s Bringing Up Bates . Like the Duggars, the Bates are a massive evangelical clan whose unorthodox belief system and penchant for extreme breeding practices earned them a basic cable reality show. The Bates never became as popular as the Duggars — but they’re also considerably less problematic. The Bates share the Duggars’ ultra-conservative belief system, but it seems they draw the line at public expressions of bigotry, such as Derick’s campaign against Jazz. As many Reddit users have now pointed out, several members of the Bates family used to follow Derick on Twitter and Instagram. Now, it looks as though the entire family has unfollowed Derick. “The shunning begins,” wrote one viewer. “The Bates family have unfollowed Jill and Derick. Individual accounts unfollowing just Derick, meanwhile Ben unfollowed him, who’s next?” “For as much as they probably agree with what he’s saying, at some point, they don’t want to be responsible for negative attention that this will invariably draw,” another fan remarked. While it’s likely true that the Bates were not personally offended by Derick’s views, it seems they’ve decided to distance themselves from the controversial law school student. But despite the reports to the contrary, the Bates have not entirely cut ties with the Duggars. Insiders claim Jim Bob and Michelle are as close as ever with Gil and Kelly Bates. In fact, the couples have reportedly made plans to celebrate their next wedding anniversaries together. So it seems that the Bates decided that they’d like to remain close with the Duggars while completely severing ties with Derick. Wendy Williams Shouts Out Husband: Eff the Rumors! I Love You!

On Monday morning,  Wendy Williams returned to host her talk show for the first time in two months. And, after updating her viewers on the condition of her health following a series of ongoing setback and scares, Williams shifted the focus to one of the hottest topics out there: Her own marriage. By now, you’ve probably heard all the chatter, right? For quite awhile, the rumor mill has been churning with discussion over whether Wendy’s husband of over two decades, Kevin Hunter, has been having an affair. And not just any random, brief affair, either. The Daily Mail has reported that Hunter is living a double life with his mistress and may even have gotten her pregnant. Heck, some have even theorized that Williams stayed off the air for so long in order to avoid the embarrassment of airing episodes during the height of this subject matter making the Internet round. But she went right ahead and addressed the alleged infidelity on Monday — as directly as ever. “I want to shout out to my husband. I’m still wearing my ring,” the polarizing personality said on air, adding: “Believe me you, when you’ve been with somebody for 28 years…married for 25 years…we know each other. “He’s my best friend, he’s my lover, he’s all this and he’s all that. I know what you’ve been seeing and I know what the streets have been talking about.” Williams never actually shot down the rumor of an affair, but did make it clear she’s sticking by her man. For better or for worse. She even pulled out a throwback photo of the couple together “before any plastic surgery” and told her audience: “Let me show you who I fell in love with and who he fell in love with.” While Williams looked differently from the woman in the photo, “it’s still me in the head and I am still very much in love with my husband,” she explained, concluding as follows: “Anybody who’s been married for 5 minutes or 500 years, you know marriages have ebbs and flows. Marriages are not easy. “Don’t ask me about mine until you see this [ring] gone and it ain’t going anywhere – not in this lifetime.” Sort of interesting, right? If you ask us, we’d say Williams is acknowledging that Hunter cheater, while also stating that her marriage will remain intact. As for her health? Following complications from Graves’ disease and a shoulder fracture that kept her sidelined since December and caused some to think she was getting the boot from her own show ? How you doing? I’m doing better now so let’s get started!” she said to open Monday’s installment, continuing: “Thank you. I missed you too. Honestly, I didn’t know what to expect when I hit the block today. I didn’t know whether you would wait for me if you would understand. Thank you so much for waiting for us.” By way of explaining her absence, she added: “What happened was, we were only supposed to be off for two weeks for Christmas vacation. “Towards the end of the two weeks I was starting to feel thyroid issues. If you don’t know about them, it’s a lifetime thing. They can really screw you over. “So, they are adjusting my thyroid meds and the eyeballs are attached to the thyroid, which is my Graves’ disease, and I always have equilibrium issues with my vertigo. “I’m the kind of patient, if I cough, I am thinking, ‘I am dying. And even if she’ll always be battling this medical condition, she’s doing a whole lot better now than she was just a couple months ago. “I am happy to tell you I am doing swell,” she said, ending this statement by showing her appreciation for the professionals who have helped her recover: “I can’t even tell you how many doctors I have, but I want to shout out to each and every one of you. Thank you so much.”

Kylie Jenner has gone from considering a proposal from Travis Scott to considering the previously unthinkable: Should she break up with the rapper?!? The 21-year old is now faced with this dilemma after evidence supposedly surfaced of Scott cheating on her . Whoa, right?!? We don't know for certain whether Scott really has been disloyal to his veteran girlfriend, but we do know the rumor mill is churning quickly and Jenner hasn't come out to deny any of the chatter. Wendy Williams Returns to Talk Show, Addresses Health Concerns

Wendy Williams is back… … and better than ever? That was the main topic the talk show host addressed this morning in her return to her self-titled program, following a two-month hiatus from her big purple chair. (Williams had been away due to ongoing health concerns … or due to embarrassment over her husband’s cheating scandal , depending on who you ask.) “Honestly, I didn’t know what to expect when I hit the block today,” Williams said at the top of her program before delving right into her medical woes. “What had happened was we were only supposed to be off two weeks for Christmas vacation. At the end of those weeks, I started to feel thyroid-ish. “They adjusted my meds. If you don’t know about thyroid disease, it’s a life long thing and they are always adjusting stuff. It can really screw you over.” Williams went on to explain that once doctors adjusted her medication, her Graves’ disease became a problem, as did her vertigo. “I can’t even tell you how many doctors I have, but I want to shout out each and everyone of you. Thank you so much,” she said, also giving props to her husband and adding: “We’re spending time as a family, the Hunters. You know, I’m Wendy Hunter. I just wanted to take some time for myself. I am my own best friend. You know that, I’ve told you that forever. “When you get into yourself, you are your own best friend. So I’m at home, I’m taking my thyroid meds, I am meditating. Oh, believe me you, I’m going to the gym seven days a week for two hours a day … “I’m sorry it took me 40 or 50 days. I know it’s been a long time. I’m sorry! I have to say, it’s not going to happen anymore and I feel good!” During her absence, friends such as Nick Cannon and Don Lemon took over a temporary hosts. On February 21, however, exactly two months after her last appearance, the show’s production company vowed that Williams was on her way back, saying in a statement: “Wendy Williams is an incredible talent with the most unique voice in daytime. We can’t wait to welcome her back to her iconic purple chair on the set of her show. “We so appreciate all of the guest hosts and panelists who filled in for Wendy during this time. These people are, and always will be, true family to the show.  “And we want to thank all of the loyal and supportive fans who have been with us for 10 years now.” Williams has battled these medical concerns for years. In March of last year, she told Good Morning America that she needed to take a break at the time because her body was simply a “mess,” adding in this interview: “We, as women, particularly if we have families, you know, we’re taking care of children, we’re taking care of our home, our husbands, we take care of everybody but ourselves. “I’m not doing that anymore, Amy. Wendy first!” We’re not very big fans of Wendy Williams, as documented below. But we certainly do not wish bad health on anything and we’re very glad to see her up, out and getting back to what she’s all about as a talk show host. The Walking Dead Recap: Henry Proves He’s the WORST

Who knew that starting a love story in a post-apocalyptic world with people from two very different factions would result in The Walking Dead being better than ever? Sunday’s episode picked up with Alpha grilling her daughter, Lydia for information about the Hilltop, but the teenager did not want to give up too much.  Alpha couldn’t help but call Lydia’s responses “excuses, wasted words,” and the youngster questioned whether her mother had only saved her to get intel.  “What a stupid question,” sneered Alpha.  Henry then popped up from the shadows, knocked a whisperer out, before being captured. The kid is the worst, but he’s helping introduce us to the world of these new villains.  Alpha told Beta to keep him alive because he could make for a good bargaining chip down the line.  One of the Whisperers then took aim at Alpha because she broke the code by saving Lydia. If you watch The Walking Dead online , you know that the villains leave people behind if they lose them.  Alpha previously heard the man’s girlfriend question her leadership, so Alpha repaid her by using wire to behead her. She then gave the man the head and stabbed him.  Yes, the Whisperers are scary AF.  Things took a wild turn when Alpha threw a knife on the ground in between Lydia and Henry and instructed her daughter to kill the Hilltopper.  When she refused, she was told that Beta would kill both of them if one of them did not kill the other.  In a truly genius twist, Daryl and Connie led a group of walkers into the camp, leading the Whisperers to make a run for it.  Daryl and Connie then snatched Henry and Lydia and made their way out of the carnage.  Back in Alexandria, Michonne learned the hard way that her people had been keeping things from her.  The council was fractured under her rule, with Siddiq and Gabriel countering that the votes hold no weight because Michonne could undo whatever decisions she doesn’t agree with.  Aaron fought Michonne’s corner because he was worried about the effect the new walker-wearing enemies could have on the community.  Michonne did not want any of her people going to the upcoming fair as a result of everything that was going on beyond the walls.  Negan heard all of the bickering and tried to use it as a way of getting close to Michonne, but the sword-wielding beauty was having none of it.  She shut him down, told him he would be spending the rest of his time alive inside the prison, and he was okay with it. Michonne spotted Judith through the window, clearly on her way to visit Negan.  An argument ensued, and Judith argued that Negan was a human and not a monster. Michonne countered that Negan had killed many of her friends.  “People don’t really change,” said Michonne, but that wasn’t enough to get Judith to agree.  “You did,” the kid said, prompting Michonne to send her to her room.  Michonne then went to Aaron to let him know that she was allowing a vote for the fair to go ahead, but Aaron was not high on the idea.  “I think it’s a terrible idea,” she admitted, “but the people can weigh the risks and choose. The Real Housewives of Atlanta Recap: Nene Leakes GOES OFF on Everyone

Nene Leakes going OFF on just about everyone was foreshadowed in a recent trailer for The Real Housewives of Atlanta.  The star delivered one of the most convincing freakouts in the history of the franchise. Let’s start from the top of the hour because we have a lot to unpack.  Nene thought it would be a good idea to throw a party called “Bye, Wig,” and it meant all of the women had to attend with their natural hair.  It’s a great idea for a party, but would all of the ladies really want to leave their glam locks behind? Not a chance.  The day before the big event, however, things took a worrying turn. Nene’s husband, Gregg, was sent back to the hospital when a blood clot was revealed to be in his leg.  Gregg was worried about the way Nene was acting, so he turned to Cynthia Bailey and Marlo Hampton to get them to check on his wife.  Marlo instantly made her way to the house and was mad that Nene was not home to greet her with open arms.  Marlo repaid Nene by showing up late to the party. Nene was ready and waiting for a fight because Marlo had been arguing with her via text message.  “If you have a friend who’s in pain and hurting, how do you come to them yelling and fussing?” NeNe shouted at Marlo. “I want you to take this more seriously, because it’s bothering me,” Marlo shot back, adding:  “I was in tears. I don’t know with the way depression is in this word; people are committing suicide. I don’t know what’s your breaking point.” “Marlo support me b—, don’t f—ing fight me, Nene complained. “I’m going through every pain. I am your sister, b—; I’m going with a lot of things.” Nene was in tears by this point, and everyone rallied around her.  “I have definitely seen NeNe go from zero to 100, but this is a total breakdown,” Porsha Williams told the camera. “This is probably NeNe at her most vulnerable state.” “I’m not a devastated person,” NeNe sobbed. “You know I don’t break down in front of people.” “I’m at my breaking point,” Nene admitted in a confessional. “I feel like people don’t understand. They don’t get it.” Nene and Marlo managed to patch things up, and all seemed right in the world.  But that couldn’t be further from the truth. The ladies made their way to Nene’s closet and started looking inside, and the embattled housewife flipped out.  NeNe Leakes Flips Out, Attacks Camera Crew on The Real Housewives of Atlanta Nene wanted everyone out … including the Bravo cameras.  As tensions arose, Nene grabbed a cameraman and threated to “f–k [them] up” if they didn’t leave.  The episode came to a close with screams ringing out.  Yes, we totally need to wait until next week for more drama.  View Slideshow: The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 11: All the Secrets… EXPOSED!

Tristan Thompson pounds the glass on a basketball court for his living. Because he has also pounded so many pieces of tail while dating Khloe Kardashian, however, it’s finally clear — once and for all — that the reality star will never rebound with the power forward ever again. For certain this time. Khloe made this as evident as possible on Saturday when she Tweeted to her millions of followers that she’s had a change of heart. After previously focusing her ire for Thompson cheating on her several days ago on the subject of his infidelity, close friend Jordyn Woods, Kardashian now admits that it takes two to tango. And Tristan obviously led this duplicitous dance two weeks back. “This has been an awful week & I know everyone is sick of hearing about it all (as am I). I’m a rollercoaster of emotions & have said things I shouldn’t have,” Khloe wrote today, referencing Thompson’ previous cheating scandal and adding: “Honestly, Tristan cheating on me & humiliating me, wasn’t such a shock as the first time.” She then concluded: “What’s been harder & more painful is being hurt by someone so close to me. Someone whom I love & treat like a little sister. ” But Jordyn is not to be blamed for the breakup of my family. This was Tristan’s fault. ” We bolded this last for emphasis ourselves. It’s important to note because Khloe had said almost the opposite on Friday afternoon. After Woods appeared on Jada Pinkett Smith’s Facebook talk show , taking very little blame for the kiss with Thompson and insisting she did not cause the Thompon/Kardashian break-up, Khloe jumped on social media and lashed out. She blasted Woods as a liar, Tweeting the following as Jordyn: “Why are you lying @jordynwoods ?? If you’re going to try and save yourself by going public, INSTEAD OF CALLING ME PRIVATELY TO APOLOGIZE FIRST, at least be HONEST about your story. “BTW, You ARE the reason my family broke up!”  Many social media users were surprised she didn’t go off on Thompson as well in this manner. But Khloe explained her viewpoint and her public stance on the matter as follows; “Tristan is equally to blame but Tristan is the father of my child. “Regardless of what he does to me I won’t do that to my daughter. He has been addressing this situation PRIVATELY. “If Tristan were to lie publicly about what conspired, then yes I would address him publicly as well.” There was some logic to this take, but Khloe appears to have come around, realizing that Thompson was the one who had vowed to remain loyal, not Woods. Thompson, of course, was also caught cheating on Khloe while she was pregnant toward the end of 2017. The pair eventually reconciled and seemed to be co-parenting their daughter, True, rather successfully for most of the first few months after she was born. But they had been growing apart ever since the NBA season tipped off this past October, considering how little time they actually got to spend together as a result. So, yes, they weren’t on great terms when Thompson invited Woods back to his home on a Sunday night in February. But that’s clearly no excuse for Tristan and Jordyn to kiss, which the later confessed did definitely happen. “It was like a kiss on the lips, but no tongue kiss, no making out,” Woods explained to Smith in her interview, adding: “I allowed myself to be in that position. And when alcohol’s involved, people make dumb moves or people get caught up in the moment.” Woods strongly denied doing anything more than kissing Thompson, admitting “shouldn’t even have been” at his house, but also insisting that she is “no homewrecker.” “I know I’m not the reason Tristan and Khloé aren’t together,” Woods said. And she’s being very honest about this with her Twitter followers, trying to take a positive view on everything that has transpired. “I have to move on with my life & count my blessings, my family, my health, & my beautiful baby True,” Khloe concluded today. Amen. Hang in there, Khloe. It’s always darkest before the light.
