The Abraham Girls Just to drive this home for everyone, Farrah is solely responsible for nine-year-old Sophia’s whole entire life. Just her. It’s 100% up to Farrah to raise Sophia, and to raise her to be a fully functioning adult. 2. A Tragedy This is, of course, because Farrah’s high school boyfriend, Derek Underwood, died in a car crash before Farrah even told him that she was pregnant with his child. 3. Trucking Along So for nearly a decade now, Farrah has been the sole caregiver of Sophia — well, it’s been her and her parents, who were quite a bit more involved when Sophia was younger. 4. We interrupt our near-daily update about Meghan Markle and her frosty relationship with Kate Middleton to bring you an update about Meghan Markle and her miraculous relationship with someone else… … her unborn child! On Tuesday, the Duchess of Sussex made her way through a throng of supporters on her way to church. She was accompanied on this important occasion by her husband, Prince Harry, and also by her rumored rivals, Prince William and the aforementioned Middleton. (By now, you must have read all about the alleged feud between Middleton and Markle , right?) While in Sandringham for the holiday, Markle was greeted by many fans, most of whom expressed well wishes for Meghan over her pregnancy, which she confirmed in October. “She said, ‘We are excited. We’re nearly there,'” one of these citizens, Karen Anvil, told E! News. “I said, ‘Enjoy every moment, being a mother is a wonderful thing.'” Hmmm… nearly there , huh? We had heard that Markle’s due date was May 2 . This was notable because it also happens to be Princess Charlotte’s birthday, although it’s also notable that no one from Kensington Palace has verified this date. We may be reading too much into Markle’s above reply, but being nearly there seems to imply that Meghan is due long before May, doesn’t it? As for chatter that Markle is all pretentious and self-centered and stuck up and a general pill to be around? This one person disagrees with that assessment at least. “You know what? She was so genuine. She was doing her duty as a royal with the crowds, shaking hands, etc.,” Anvil said, adding: “But when I asked her about the baby, she changed totally. She was glowing and instinctively went for her stomach. It was lovely.” For once, however, few eyes were on Markle’s stomach. Instead, they were trained on her interactions with Middleton, considering the constant talk over how these two simply don’t get along . Anvil says she no signs of tension, though. She told E! that Meghan and Kate seemed to get along just fine during their very public outing. During her annual Christmas address, meanwhile, Queen Elizabeth made a rare mention of her personal life, giving the polarizing Duchess a shout-out in the process. “It’s been a busy year for my family, with two weddings and two babies and another child expected soon,” she told the world. What is she talking about here? Well… Markle and Harry exchanged vows in May. Then, nearly five months later, Princess Eugenie married businessman Jack Brooksbank. Elsewhere, William and Kate, welcomed their third child, Prince Louis, in April — and Elizabeth’s granddaughter, Zara Tindall, welcomed her second daughter in June with husband Mike. During the most recent season of Teen Mom OG , fans learned that Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra decided to separate for a month and live in different homes on a trial basis. Tyler and Catelynn explained the separation as an effort to save their marriage — but fans felt that it was the beginning of the end, On Christmas Day, Catelynn took to Instagram to assure fans that all is well in her relationship with Tyler. But is she offering an honest assessment of her marriage, or merely attempting to put the rumor mill to rest? Take a look: 1. Better Days There was a time when Tyler and Catelynn were thought by many fans to be the most stable of all the couples in the Teen Mom franchise. 2. Talk about a bittersweet situation for The Situation. On Tuesday, the veteran Jersey Shore cast member celebrated his very first Christmas as a married man, proving as much by posing on Instagram with his wife, Lauren. But here’s the thing… … it was also Mike’s last Christmas before he goes away to prison for several months. Like we said: bittersweet, right? “Merry Christmas from The Situations & don’t forget to treat thyself,” the MTV personality captioned this photo of himself and his soulmate. On October 5, The Situation (aka “Sitch”) was sentenced to eight months in jail for tax evasion, which he pleaded guilty to back in January. According to legal documents, Sorrentino had to surrender to the Bureau of Prisons by January 15 at the latest, which means he has just over two weeks left at home with his new wife. Gotta be a bit scary for the often-drunk celebrity. Since the sentencing, however, Mike has tried to make the most of the free time he has remaining. The clearest example, of course, being that Sorrentino married Lauren on November 1. “We are so incredibly excited to begin our journey as husband and wife!” the high school sweethearts told Us Weekly shortly after exchanging vows, adding at the time: “We are each other’s best friend and together we can handle anything. Thank you to all our family, friends and fans who have supported us every step of the way. “Gym, Tan, Laurens is the new GTL! With Love, Mr. & Mrs. Michael Sorrentino.” As you might have expected, Mike’s co-stars were all in attendance at his wedding. We’re talking about Jenni “JWoww” Farley, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Deena Cortese, Paul “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio, Vinny Guadagnino and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro. A few weeks after their gorgeous wedding, Mike and Lauren flew to Tucson, Arizona, enjoying a relaxing and luxurious honeymoon at Miraval Spa. While there, the newlyweds treated themselves to a number of spa treatments, lots of tasty food and many scenic hikes. It may sound simple, but Mike will be missing all of those things when he’s in the clink. On Saturday, meanwhile, the Situation celebrated three years of sobriety . It was only a month ago that Jenni “JWoww” Farley revealed her son's autism diagnosis . He has a major speech delay. If you watch JWoww's video, which we have included, you'll see that he has made some astounding personal progress in a very short time. Take a look and see little Greyson's powerful journey. Jenni “JWoww” Harley shared some news with her fans in November. Greyson Valor, she revealed, was “non-verbal.” He is autistic, and not all autistic people speak. He has since made great strides, for which she is immensely thankful. In a tribute video that she posted, she shows her son's progress. The dramatic results show how quickly a young child can change in a very short time, especially with speech therapist. What once had JWoww fearing that Greyson would never speak is now a speech delay. The vast majority of two-year-old children are happily speaking and living their best lives. Greyson took until he was a little older than two to show that he recognized his own name. JWoww's video begins with Greyson responding very little or not at all to auditory input. His mother calls his name, and he does not seem aware of it. (Audio processing is complicated, and sometimes works very differently for children and adults on the autistic spectrum) In another scene, he asks for food from his mother, but is unable to verbalize his request. Greyson hit some developmental milestones a little later than Jwoww had hoped. It's not that children on the autistic spectrum are necessarily less intelligent than neurotypical children in their age group. Instead, it's because autism — which is very complicated and comes in many forms — means that his mind processes things differently. The best analogy that comes to mind is traffic. If 90% of people take one route, someone who takes a very different route will arrive at a different time. Speech is complicated, and at times he might be too overwhelmed by other experiences to process what he's hearing, let alone what he is saying. But while some autistic folks remain nonverbal for life, that is not the case with Greyson. As the video reveals, Greyson has made great strides this year in terms of verbal communication. With a little prompting from his mother, Greyson blows a kiss with a very loud verbal “mwah!” In the same clip, in which he is seated in his car seat, he says “hi!” Then, we see Greyson chattering on his own. Many (very loving, very devoted) parents know how exhausting it can be to hear little children who speak nonstop. But to a parent who had feared just months earlier that their child would never speak at all, hearing him jabber feels like a miracle. Of course, rambling without being very intelligible is a far cry from actually speaking. But as we already knew, Greyson has been developing his vocabulary. JWoww's videos include the one that we shared in early December. Greyson, dressed as Dash from The Incredibles , repeats the names of colors on command. Some parents might not be blown away by a video of a child old enough to walk who is parroting their parents' words. But for Greyson, it shows that he doesn't just understand the words — he can also repeat them verbally and intelligibly. This is huge for him and very encouraging to those who love him. Greyson is autistic, and that is part of who he is. There is no “cure” for autism, only therapies to help them thrive in a neurotypical society. As an adult, he may never fully understand when it is and is not his turn to speak. Or, he may be uncomfortable making eye contact with people, especially while talking to them. But he may also be fine with both of those things. Some autistic folks go their entire lives without being diagnosed, and were just seen as “quirky” or “slow” or “awkward” as children. Everybody's a little different, and it's inspiring to see that JWoww has hope for her son's future.
Kim Kardashian is taking over. Yes, we know she took over the pop cultural landscape long ago, and perhaps in some respects, her career has peaked. But while Kim might be overshadowed by her younger sisters in terms of fame and media clout, she’s slowly assuming the role of the Kard clan matriarchal figure who’s in charge of family festivities. Sure, Kris Jenner is still at the top of the Kar-Jenner foodchain, but this year, she took a major step toward semi-retirement (We all know Kris will never fully retire.) by letting Kim host the family’s annual Christmas Eve bash. And what a celebration it was. Kim being Kim, there was an elaborate theme in place. The decor and attire were all in accordance with a “Winter Wonderland Whoville” motif. Though to be honest most of the guests just dressed like they were headed to one of Diddy’s annual White Parties and showed little regard for the more Seuss-ian aspect of the theme. But with a guest list like this, who could complain? Obviously, Kim’s A-list family was in attendance, including Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson, who were newly returned from a short pre-holiday trip to Mexico. But the Kards weren’t the only famous faces in hand for the Yuletide bash. Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez both stopped by to spread some holiday cheer (and pose for a selfie or two). Even Kim’s former bestie Paris Hilton stopped by for a spell. Maybe this is Paris’ way of trying to atone for all the trash she talked back in the days when Kim was her lowly closet-organizer. Attendees say John Legend took the stage to belt out some holiday classics, and all the guests seem to thoroughly enjoy themselves. Khloe’s sisters even refrained from berating Tristan Thompson for cheating on her while she was pregnant with his child. (Though frankly, we’re of the opinion that Tristan-bashing should be an annual tradition from here on out.) All-in-all it sounds like the party was a respite from what’s been an intensely drama-packed year for the Kardashians. But don’t worry, we’re sure the whole family will be back to bickering for the sake of the camera crew any time now. We’re sure another Kim vs. Khloe feud is brewing at this very moment. Following weeks and weeks of rumors that claimed a major rivalry exists between Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton , the Duchesses attended church together (with their husbands) in Sandringham on Christmas Day. Kate donned a festive red coat dress with a matching hat and shoes… while Meghan went with a deep navy dress and a Victoria Beckham coat with a matching fascinator. For once, however, attention wasnot on these women's fashion choices — but rather their facial expressions. Were they happy to be seen together? Did they make small talk? Were they friendly? So much for happily ever after, we guess, huh? On 90 Day Fiance this week, we learned that one cast member stepped out on the other, causing massive strife and sadness and speculation over the future of their marriage. We have to start with Jay and Ashley , who finally got married, yet didn’t really get to enough a honeymoon phase. Before vows were even exchanged, we witnessed Jay seriously stressing out about being stuck with just one person for the rest of his life. “I’m going to be tied down forever. I can’t do nothing,” he whined. “I don’t think anyone is 100 percent ready to get married unless they’re like 50.” That was disturbing enough to hear, but then it got so much worse: On the every day they got home from their Las Vegas wedding, Ashley discoverde that Jay had made a Tinder account — and was messaging numerous women asking them to meet up. What… the… Hell, dude?!?!? “After everything that I’ve done for him and this is how he treats me. I don’t even know how you can go to bed at night,” Ashley said in response. “The signs were there and I just ignored them.” She added that because they’re husband and wife and he is not a citizen, she’s responsible for him — so she can’t just kick him out of her house, which makes things extra hard on her. What will she do, we were left to ponder? For Eric and Leida , the former was stuck between your basic rock and a hard place. His children didn’t want to come to his wedding and his fiancé threatened to return to her home country all the darn time. “Leida is my last shot at love,” Eric said at one point. Leida, meanwhile, told everyone – even the woman doing her nails the day prior to her wedding – that Eric was a letdown and that she disliked his daughters. Sounds like these two have a real future, huh? “I wish that I could turn back time and just get a single guy. He has a lot of baggage,” she said, adding: “For now I feel like 50/50. I just don’t know if I’m going to do this or I’m just going to go back to Indonesia.” Elsewhere, Steve dropped a bombshell on Olga . He confessed that he never applied for her visa until he got to Russia, so he’s actually the reason she will not be able to return with him. “This is not what I want our relationship to be,” Olga said, understandably upset about the situation. However, Steven realized he had made a ridiculous request when he told Olga he would take their son to the United States. So he apologized and told her to keep their kid until she could come as well. Then, he got down on one knee and proposed! “I’m going to miss him more than anything in the world but I know that it’s the right thing to do,” Steven said. We end with the trials and tribulations of Larissa and Colt . Following Colt’s explosive barbecue, Larissa and his mother, Debbie, were far from fine. Heck, they weren’t speaking for weeks and it stressed out Colt. Big time. “I don’t know that I can forgive her,” Debbie said. “I don’t see how Colt can go through with this marriage because she’s a bitch.” To our surprise, though, Larissa invited Debbie to go with her to get their nails done, apologizing for everything during their outing, which made both of them feel a lot better. “I believe that when Larissa apologized to me, it was very sincere,” Debbie said. “I think we probably figured out a lot of our problems.”
