Rapper Lor Scoota’s Manager Slain Also Weeks After Murder A few weeks ago, we reported that rapper Lor Scoota was gunned down in Baltimore . Today, the NYDailyNews is reporting that his manager was killed Wednesday… Trayvon Lee, 29, manager of recently slain Baltimore rapper Lor Scoota, was murdered Wednesday. Scoota’s death sent waves throughout the rap community as he was shot and killed in broad daylight while driving moments, after leaving a charity basketball game promoting peace. Less than two weeks after mourning the loss of his artist and friend, Lee succumbed to the same fate in West Baltimore. Lee died July 6 from two gunshot wounds to the chest when shots rang out about 7:45 p.m. steps from his home. First Lor Scoota, then his manager? Something ain’t right here. Donald Trump’s Anti-Semitic Tweet Originated From White Supremacist Account Donald Trump’s tweet that showed Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and a six-pointed star on a pile of money was originally found on a white supremacist website according to NY Times : Trump’s account on Saturday tweeted the so-called “meme” — then deleted it and replaced it substituting a circle for the star symbol that resembles the Jewish Star of David. The change came after a social media uproar about the star tweet’s potentially anti-Semitic implications. The meme first appears to have hit the Internet on June 15, when it was posted by the Twitter user @FishBoneHead1. The account, which described itself as belonging to a comedian, regularly tweeted out anti-Clinton and right-leaning messages and images. The image also appeared on June 22, on /pol/, an active neo-Nazi Internet message board that features many anti-Semitic posts. It remains unclear where Trump’s campaign obtained the image. A spokeswoman for the campaign did not immediately respond to questions about the original tweet or who was responsible for sending it out. Trump’s twitter account remained silent on the issue Sunday. The @FishBoneHead1 account was deleted amid the uproar on Sunday afternoon. The person who operated the feed did not respond to a request for comment before it was deleted. The post itself was deleted from the /pol/ message board, but its existence was confirmed by The Associated Press through an internet search engine that combs internet archives. NYC Executives Arrested For Selling Drugs Several top-level business bigwigs — including the Chief Creative and Development Officer of Chipotle — have been taken down in a major drug sting in NYC. Apparently in addition to their six and seven-figure paying positions at major banks, television networks, and brands…they were each slinging cocaine to their friends and coworkers on the side as well. Via MailOnline : A Fox producer, a Chipotle executive and an associate at Merrill Lynch are among a group of 18 high-flyers who have been arrested after a massive New York cocaine ring was cracked. Katie Welnhofer, 29, who works on ‘Mornings with Maria’ on Fox Business, and the Mexican fast food chain’s Chief Creative and Development Officer, Mark Crumpacker, have been indicted after the operation. Christopher Dodson, a client associate at Merrill Lynch, and his brother Austin, an associate at real estate firm Cushman & Wakefield, were also arrested. Underwriting consultant Christian Jewett, Marwood Group senior associate Kyle Holmes, tax accountant Roman Yoffe, and Huffington Post blogger Alexander Mallory were among those also indicted. They were all charged with the criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, according to court documents seen by Daily Mail Online. It followed a year-long investigation into a massive drug ring that sold $75,000 worth of cocaine and operated from the Lower East Side. Customers generally paid between $200 and $300 per transaction. Three kingpins Kenny ‘Jay’ Hernandez, Felix Nunez and Oscar Almonte were all arrested. They allegedly used livery services to deliver cocaine to customers throughout Manhattan. The probe is believed to have begun after investment banker Thomas Hughes jumped to his death from his 24th floor luxury apartment in May 2015. Reports suggest police found the number of his dealer on his cell phone when they searched his home. SMH! Serial Subject Adnan Syed Granted New Trial 16 Years After Murder Conviction The subject of NPR’s podcast Serial Adnan Syed has been given a new lease on life after being convicted of murdering his high school girlfriend Have Min Lee reports The Baltimore Sun : A Baltimore judge has vacated the murder conviction of Adnan Syed, the subject of the popular “Serial” podcast that explored his case, and granted his request for a new trial. The order from retired Judge Martin Welch was handed down in an order Thursday afternoon. Syed has been serving a life sentence since being convicted in 2000 of killing ex-girlfriend Hae Min Lee, a Woodlawn High School classmate, and burying her body in Leakin Park. Welch wrote in his opinion that Syed’s trial attorney “renedered ineffective assistance when she failed to cross-examine the state’s expert regarding the reliability of cell tower location evidence.” Syed’s attorney, C. Justin Brown, broke word of the judge’s ruling on Twitter. “WE WON A NEW TRIAL FOR ADNAN SYED! #FreeAdnan,” he wrote. Reached by phone, Syed’s brother Yusuf said the family was “feeling great.” “I had a feeling in my heart it was going to happen,” he said. “We are just very happy. Angry Boyfriend Decapitates A Man Who Allegedly Raped His Girlfriend What would you do to a man who had be accused of raping your girlfriend? A Minnesota man knew EXACTLY what he wanted to do according to the NYPost … A northern Minnesota man faces a murder charge for allegedly beating and decapitating a man he believed raped his girlfriend. According to a criminal complaint, Joseph Christen Thoresen beat David Haiman with a baseball bat, stabbed him, then used a machete to decapitate him as Haiman was groaning on the ground. Thoresen then dragged Haiman’s torso and threw his head into the woods, the complaint says. The girlfriend told police that the group had smoked meth before the attack, the complaint said. Nothing good can come from smoking meth… According to the complaint, Thoresen’s girlfriend told police that when she learned Haiman was coming to the couple’s Grand Rapids apartment, she became upset and told Thoresen that Haiman had sexually assaulted her. When Haiman arrived, the girlfriend tied him up and punched him, breaking his nose. She untied him, then Thoresen punched him repeatedly, the complaint said. The fact this guy would go hangout with a woman he raped and her boyfriend…he was practically BEGGING to be murdered! The girlfriend told authorities they drove into the woods and Thoresen and Haiman argued about car trouble. Thoresen allegedly told another acquaintance that he had Haiman check the oil, then he hit him in the head with a baseball bat and stabbed him, the complaint said. The family-friendly money machine is removing all images of alligators from their parks including cartoons, shows and displays. -Louis, the trumpet-playing gator from “The Princess and the Frog,” is no longer part of the Friendship Faire Castle show. -The Tic Toc Croc, who chases bad guy Captain Hook in “Peter Pan,” has been yanked from the Festival of Fantasy Parade at Magic Kingdom. -And the Jungle Cruise boat ride no longer includes a corny one-liner from the captain telling parents to “watch your children, or the crocodiles will,” according to the Hollywood Reporter. Make a statement on fame and privacy and the Illuminati or whatever is on your mind! But I can’t watch it, don’t want to watch it, if it feels informed and inspired by the aspects of our culture that make women feel unsafe even in their own beds, in their own bodies… Man…that is a whole lot of thought from someone famous who’s not event included in the bed. We’re assuming that Taylor sic’d her “squad” member on Kanye to say things she didn’t feel like saying personally and drag a bunch of totally unrelated issues into the mix. Brock Turner though? SMH.
