Source: Le Club Symphonie / Getty Former Assistant Principal Accused Of Murdering Kameela Russell A twisted tale is coming out of Miami that’s shocking the local community. Authorities are reporting that former a former Norland High assistant principal has been arrested and charged with murdering an educator who was a lifelong friend of his. Kameela Russell , 41, had been missing more than a week before her lifeless body was found floating in a Miami Gardens canal on May 25. Police now say Ernest Joseph Roberts, 39, is responsible and they obtained an arrest warrant for a charge of first-degree murder. In a warrant obtained by CBS Miami , police reported that they “received several anonymous phone calls suggesting that the former Assistant Principal of Norland Senior High, Ernest Roberts, may be involved in her sudden disappearance.” They add that Russell and Roberts have known each other since they were children and he is the Godfather of both of her children. Authorities spoke with a school employee who confessed that Roberts informed him of a note inside a school conference room that read; “Do you know anyone that can chop up a car? If so or make it “disappear” take these keys. Its behind the speedway racetrack on 441 by County line. Friends are gone and need it to disappear. If not leave + I’ll work it out later. Thrown this note away!” Along with the note, were the keys to an Audi. Instead of assisting Roberts however, the person called the cops. The person added that Roberts confessed to hitting an “intruder” with a baseball bat and dragging their dead body through the house before wrapping it in a tarp. Roberts allegedly asked the employee for assistance getting bloodstains out of the carpet.     Wow! Kameela Russell’s family is surely reeling and wondering why her friend would allegedly do this. We hope this arrest at least gives them some closure as they continue to seek justice.

Source: RunPhoto / Getty Man Accuses Doctor Of Leaving 57-Inch Wire In His Body Fourteen Years Ago So one Las Vegas man unknowingly had a whole a$$ metal wire in his body, and now he wants to hold the responsible parties accountable. According to Las Vegas Review-Journal , German “OT” Ortiz lived for a decade without knowing a 57-inch metal wire was running through his body. When a doctor told him in 2015 that he needed surgery to clear blood clots, an X-ray showed the wire stretching down his aorta, from his chest to his thigh, according to his attorney James Jimmerson. Ortiz’s lawyers are now asking a jury to award him upward of $800,000 from Mark Taylor, the cardiologist who did a 2005 angioplasty, and Heart Center of Nevada, the company he runs. Ortiz is a 70-year-old man who serves as a youth pastor at Cornerstone Christian Academy and Preschool. A year ago, medical professionals removed two-thirds of the wire inside him for a heart procedure, according to Jimmerson. Now, more than 20 inches remain in his thigh. Ortiz experienced this whole fiasco when he was rushed to the University Medical Center emergency room 14 years ago after experiencing shortness of breath. Doctors explained that he had congestive heart failure and required an angiogram, according to the lawsuit, which was filed in 2016. In an angiogram procedure, a catheter is inserted through the bloodstream to spread a dye that lets doctors take photographs of blood vessels, Jimmerson explained to jurors, holding a sample of a wire used to keep the catheter stiff. In Ortiz’s situation, when the catheter was removed, a guide wire remained in his body, according to the suit. The suit alleges medical malpractice, negligent infliction of emotional distress, professional negligence, negligent hiring, training and supervision, and loss of consortium. Mark Taylor’s lawyer, Patricia Daehnke, argues that another doctor must have left the wire inside Ortiz, claiming that Taylor was never informed that the guide wire had been lost. “Dr. Taylor met the standard of care and in no way was negligent or un-careful in his cardiology,” she said, pointing to notes from the procedure Taylor carried out. “We’re not here to pin responsibility on Dr. Taylor. We’re here to present the evidence to you.” Jimmerson asked jurors to hold Taylor and his company accountable for causing “pain, anxiety and the probability of future surgery for blood clots.” “A doctor must pay careful attention during a procedure,” Jimmerson said. “If a doctor does not pay careful attention during a procedure, the doctor is responsible for the injuries caused.”

However, Tomblin got out of prison in 2014 after being convicted of robbery with a dangerous weapon (conspiracy) and breaking and entering, according to state records obtained by BOSSIP. The North Carolina native was convicted the year before for the crimes, which he allegedly committed within days of each other, public records show. He later served fifteen months – the minimum – for the two convictions, which ran concurrently, as well as probation. It’s unclear how Tomblin got on Williams ’ radar, or if the talk show host is aware of her new beau’s criminal past. But we’re told that even though it’s still early days, there are concerns about Tomblin’s motives for being with Williams – and whether her estimated $60 million fortune may be the reason. In an op-ed for the Wall Street Journal , former Manhattan District Attorney’s office prosecutor Linda Fairstein slammed When They See Us , the Netflix mini-series based on the Central Park Five case. Fairstein argues that the four-part series omits crucial details, including a “riot” involving more than 30 people that allegedly went down on April 19, 1989 — the same date of the attack on the Central Park jogger Trisha Meili.  Fairstein claims that reporters and Ava DuVernay have only focused on the five accused teens and the one victim in the jogger attack, not the riot. Not sh**. The movie is about the CENTRAL PARK FIVE and the JOGGER CASE. Anywaaays, Fairstein went on to say that the movie missed “the larger picture of that terrible night: a riot in the dark that resulted in the apprehension of more than 15 teenagers who set upon multiple victims.”  She continued that on that night “eight others were attacked, including two men who were beaten so savagely that they required hospitalization for head injuries.” She then argues that there’s compelling evidence that the Central Park five were involved in the “riot.” Again, what’s that got to do with the jogger case????????? The one in which Matias Reyes was proven to be Meili’s attacker thanks to a confession and DNA evidence. But Fairstein kept on about the OTHER alleged attacks that happened that night: “The other charges, for crimes against other victims, should not have been vacated. Nothing Mr. Reyes said exonerated these five of those attacks. And there was certainly more than enough evidence to support those convictions of first-degree assault, robbery, riot and other charges,” Fairstein writes. Fairstein also denies the portrayal of the five teens being held without food or deprived of their parents’ company during questioning: “If that had been true, surely they would have brought those issues up and prevailed in pretrial hearings on the voluntariness of their statements, as well as in their lawsuit against the city. They didn’t, because it never happened,” Fairstein writes. Fairstein also says that DuVernay portrays her as an “prosecutor and a bigot, the police as incompetent or worse, and the five suspects as innocent of all charges against them” and claims that  “none of this is true.” She finishes by arguing that “it is a wonderful thing that these five men have taken themselves to responsible positions and community respect,” but reiterated that DuVernay “ignored so much of the truth about the gang of 30 and about the suffering of their victims” and described this as an “outrage.” Ava’s response to Linda’s “outrage?” The filmmaker responded to the op-ed on Twitter, calling Fairstein’s words “expected and typical.” Then she simply added, “Onward.” Expected and typical. Music President Pusha T could be headed to court over that very issue. According to legal documents obtained by  The Times Daily , both artists are accused of using an unauthorized sample on “Come Back Baby,” a track from Pusha’s 2018 album  DAYTONA . FAME Enterprises Inc. filed a lawsuit against the musicians two weeks ago in the Circuit Court of Colbert County, Alabama, claiming “Come Back Baby” features a portion of George Jackson’s 1972 record “I Can’t Do Without You,” which FAME produced and owns. The complaint states that Pusha’s song “includes the following repeated, unauthorized, unlicensed samples from ‘I Can’t Do Without You’”: Never have I been locked up in a world of misery I need you darlin’ to set me free Come back, baby, try me one more time Ooh, baby, I’m ’bout to go out of my mind I can’t— The company goes on to point out that over 35% of “Come Back Baby” is comprised of unlicensed samples of “I Can’t Do Without You.” FAME also says that Jackson’s record is about drug use and illegal drug trade, which is why they would have never agreed to license the song “for such a use under any circumstances.” The plaintiff is suing “for disgorgement of profits, compensatory, consequential, incidental and punitive damages in an amount to be determined by the trier of fact in this case, plus statutory fines, costs, interest and expenses.” UMG Recordings, Def Jam, and G.O.O.D. According to the Courier-Journal , the city has decided to close four of the city’s public swimming pools including the only pool on the city’s West End aka “the Black side of town”. Not only does that ruin some of the summer fun for the kids, but it also puts them at SERIOUS risk in the future… According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 10 people die every day from accidental drowning. If you are a black child, you are 5.5 times more likely to drown than white children. The disparity is greatest among kids ages 11-12. All of this because Lousiville is facing budget cuts and the first thing to go when politicians decide to save money are programs that help minorities and poor people. ‘Merica. SMFH.

Source: Goads Agency / Getty Families Demand That Chicago PD Investigate Dozens Of Strangled Women Chicago police are under fire from the families of over 50 woman, mostly Black, who want to know exactly who killed their loved ones. According to CBS Chicago , between 2001 and 2019 there have been 51 bodies of strangled women found in the streets of Chicago, many of them on the west side and south side. Many in the community fear a serial killer after missing person cases like those of Kierra Coles and Chaunti Bryla. The Dreamcatcher Foundation staffer Brenda Stewart had this to say via WGN-TV : “I feel that people don’t care about women that are on drugs, work the streets. I mean, they’re human,” she said. She said the unsolved cases of mostly black women is scary. “If a family member doesn’t push the issue, of course they’re not going to look. That’s just another dead body, let’s take her to the morgue, she works the streets,” she said. Facts. We already know the system doesn’t prioritize Black women, much less Black women sex workers and drug users. Sanitation worker Riccardo Holyfield’s cousin Reo Renee Holyfield was found in the garbage bin last year, he agrees with Stewart via CBS Chicago: “If something don’t get done, it’s going to get worse,” Riccardo said. “People keep dismissing us because of these women’s backgrounds.” Despite the fact that these families are 100% right: Chicago Police Supt. Eddie Johnson said right now there is just not enough information to say a serial killer or killers are responsible for strangling the women, but until arrests are made their families will continue pushing.
