NBA MVP Moses Malone Passes Away At The Age Of 60 Sad news to report in the sports world today. Via ESPN : Three-time NBA MVP and Pro Basketball Hall of Famer Moses Malone died Sunday at the age of 60. Malone, named one of the NBA’s 50 greatest players, was the Finals MVP in 1983, as he led the Philadelphia 76ers to the title. “It is with a deep sense of sadness that the Sixers family mourns the sudden loss of Moses Malone. It is difficult to express what his contributions to this organization — both as a friend and player — have meant to us, the city of Philadelphia and his faithful fans,” the 76ers said in a statement Sunday. “Moses holds a special place in our hearts and will forever be remembered as a genuine icon and pillar of the most storied era in the history of Philadelphia 76ers basketball. No one person has ever conveyed more with so few words – including three of the most iconic in this city’s history. His generosity, towering personality and incomparable sense of humor will truly be missed. Woman Arrested For Making Children Live In Underground Cave A Kansas City woman was recently arrested after authorities say she was abusing her children by forcing them to live in squalor. According to KMBC 24-year-old Brittany Mugrauer is facing child endangerment charges after her two children were found living in a wooden crate in underground caves. Police report that the children, ages 4 and 6, were dirty and barefoot and living in a 10′ x 8′ wooden crate with car seats and blankets. The children told authorities that they lived in the car with their mother and one child, the 4-year-old, was seen eating dry ramen noodles with dirt in it. The children have since been taken to a hospital for an evaluation while Brittany’s bail is $75,000. Wow! What do YOU think about this story???

Woman Arrested For Public Daytime Sex With Unconscious Boyfriend A Virginia woman who got arrested for having sex with her unconscious boyfriend in the middle of the day in a a parking lot, claimed the pair “fell victim” to drunkeness and a spontaneous spirit. Too bad this all took place right in front of a day-care center and a US Army recruitment office. 36-year-old Kimberly Jackson, was caught on camera by several parties, straddling boyfriend Earl Palmer with her pants around her ankles outside a busy shopping area on East Virginia Beach Boulevard at 3: 30pm on a Tuesday afternoon. Cops were of course called, and when officers arrived to the scene, they found an unresponsive Palmer on the ground, with his half-naked girlfriend on top of him. Jackson was charged with public drunkenness and posted bond to jump out of jail early Wednesday morning. But Jackson defended her actions to WTKR: “[I] was in the mood, and that’s basically what happened,” she said, insisting that she was drunk out of her mind at the time, “I’m not into erotic public sex or anything like that.” Palmer insisted that he wasn’t man-raped in the situation. He told the news that he had agreed to the spur-of-the moment public sexcapade, but passed out before doing his duty. “I’m here trying to clear her name and let them know I consented to that,” he said. “I just didn’t finish the job, as you could say.” Well, how gross. You would think they could keep their coital action inside the car at that hour…provided they even have one. SMH.

Miss American Pageant Wants Vanessa Williams Apology For Nude Photo Scandal For those of you who are unaware, vintage banger Vanessa Williams was crowned the very first African-American Miss America in 1983, but was unceremoniously forced to resign after it was revealed that she had taken some bucket-nekkid girl-on-girl photos. Fast forward to 2015, Vanessa Willams agreed to return to the fold under the condition that the pageant execs would apologize to her and give her a new crown. You know? A “progressive” mea culpa for slut shaming her years ago. But nah, in reality, the Miss America pageant are the same group of douchebags that they were back in ’83. According to TMZ , Vanessa’s representation met with the pageant brass and they believe Vanessa should actually apologize to THEM for taking those photos in the first place! Broadway Actors Called Slurs By Taxi Driver, Wrongly Arrested Two broadway stars have filed a lawsuit for unspecified damages after a racist run-in with an NYC taxi driver in which he hurled slurs at his passengers before having them arrested after falsely accusing them of skipping out on the fare. 30-year-old Christina Sajous, an African American actress who starred in the Broadway show “Spiderman: Turn off the Dark,” hailed a cab to Harlem with fellow actor, 34-year-old Ethan Paulini one year ago on September 11, 2014. According to the suit filed in Manhattan Federal court, the driver that picked them up refused to take the West Side Highway, despite the fact that it was the most direct route to their destination. When Sajous let the driver, 35-year-old Gregory Adolph, know that he needed to follow the route they suggested, he allegedly replied, “I don’t have to do anything for a n*****.” An understandably shocked Paulini responded, “What did you say?” to which Adolph replied, “Now the f***** got something to say.” Disgusted and offended, the pair insisted the driver immediately let them out of the vehicle, which was now near Central Park West, and claim they paid him $20 for the $19.50 fare. However Adolph refused to let them out of the car, insisting that they had to complete the journey because he wanted the full fare. He allegedly told them he didn’t want to pick up another passenger going downtown from the “filthy n***** neighborhood.” When the actors threatened to call the police, Adolph allegedly replied, “Who would believe a n***** and a f*****?” Apparently he was correct. When the actors exited the vehicle and tried to reach their destination by the nearest train, they were surrounded by police on the platform and told to return to the street. Adolph had told cops that the two refused to pay their fare at all. Paulini says he handed the taxi driver another $20 bill, saying, “If this makes you go away, please take it. Now I paid it twice,” before reaching into his pocket to show officers the receipt from his first payment to prove that Adolph was lying. Of course, the ever-rational NYPD officers immediately screamed at the man to never place his hands in his pockets around a police officer, and told him to show his receipt to the judge before pushing both actors inside a squad car and charging them with “resisting arrest” and skipping a cab fare. All charges against the pair were thrown out last year. Both are seeking monetary damages from the racist homophobic cab driver and the four NYPD officers who wrongly booked them. We hope they get EVERY penny. SMH. WENN
NYPD Tackles And Cuffs James Blake On The Way To The US Open Former tennis star James Blake was tackled to the ground and handcuffed by five white undercover cops on Wednesday afternoon while on his way to an appearance at the US Open in NYC . Blake was outside of his midtown hotel waiting for a car to transport him to the U.S. Open, where he was scheduled to make several corporate appearances on behalf of Time-Warner Cable. “It was definitely scary and definitely crazy,” he told The New York Post . He said that none of the officers immediately identified themselves as undercover cops, and he initially had no idea what was going on or why. “In my mind there’s probably a race factor involved , but no matter what there’s no reason for anybody to do that to anybody. You’d think they could say, ‘Hey, we want to talk to you. We are looking into something.’ I was just standing there. I wasn’t running. It’s not even close (to be okay). It’s blatantly unnecessary.” Blake said that he was distracted as the incident occurred, having just completed an interview for a tennis magazine in the middle of texting. He says as he looked up, he saw a man in shorts and a T-shirt charging toward him. “Maybe I’m naïve, but I just assumed it was someone I went to high school with or something who was running at me to give me a big hug, so I smiled at the guy.” The plainclothes officer — not wearing a badge — lifted Blake and slammed him down on the sidewalk, demanded that he roll over on his face and yelled, “Don’t say a word.” Blake responded, “I’m going to do whatever you say. I’m going to cooperate. But do you mind if I ask what this is all about?” Another officer joining the scene said, “We’ll tell you. You are in safe hands.” Eventually, five cops surrounded Blake as he was facedown on the pavement and handcuffed. He said he was soon told that he fit the description of a suspect in an identity theft probe, before officers eventually realized they had the wrong person. Blake says when the cops finally realized their mistake, they apologized. However, the officer who originally tackled and cuffed him never said a word. SMH! The NYPD just sees any and every Black man as a potential threat, huh?
