Drug Kingpin Joaquin ‘El Chapo’ Guzman Escapes Prison Again Drug kingpin Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman escaped through a one-mile long tunnel that was dug under the shower space of his prison cell in central Mexico, authorities said Sunday. After security cameras lost sight of Guzman late Saturday, guards went into the cell and found a hole 10 meters (33 feet) deep with a ladder, said National Security Commissioner Monte Alejandro Rubido. The hole led to the huge tunnel with a ventilation and light system, Rubido said, adding that its exit was in a building that was under construction. A motorcycle on a rail system was found in the tunnel and is believed to have been used to transport tools and remove earth from the space, which was 1.7 meters high and around 80 centimeters (2.6 feet) wide. Rubido said 18 prison guards will be interrogated by prosecutors in Mexico City. Until Guzman escaped, Rubido said, “the day had gone on normally and at around 8:00 pm he was given his daily dose of medicine.” The maximum-security prison is located 90 kilometers (55 miles) west of the capital in Mexico State. Guzman had been jailed there since February 2014. It is the second time in 14 years that Guzman has broken out of prison. Wilson (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) ended up having to get fingers amputated following separate firework accidents over the holiday weekend. ESPN’s Adam Schefter tweeted, “ESPN obtained medical charts that show Giants DE Jason Pierre-Paul had right index finger amputated today.” However, Giants fans need not worry. It seems as though he’ll be on the road to recovery soon and won’t be off the field for too long. Schefter followed with, “Medical source expects him to play this season, ‘sooner than people think.’” The 26-year-old defensive end has been in a South Florida hospital since Saturday night when he severely injured his hand in a fireworks accident, however specifics on what happened are unknown. It was initially believed that Pierre-Paul had only suffered burns on three fingers and parts of both hands, but it was clearly worse than people thought. Meanwhile, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers player lost two fingers in a fireworks accident on Saturday, according to the Lincoln Times-News, located in Wilson’s home town of Lincolnton, N.C. The Buccaneers have acknowledged they’re aware of the injury but have not released any details about Wilson’s condition. Wilson’s agent has likewise confirmed that he’s injured but declined to release any medical information. Damn! Well, it definitely could have been worse …they should consider themselves lucky and be more careful next time.

Detroit Man Arrested For Eluding After Finding Well-Lit Place In Police Stop GTFOHWTBS! Via MLive DaJuawn Wallace said he didn’t stop immediately when prompted by police at 2 a.m. Feb. 19 because he was taught to pull into a well-lit and safe area before doing so. The Detroit native who is a commuter student pursuing a master’s degree at Saginaw Valley State University believes he did not commit a crime, since he pulled over in a Sam’s Club parking lot about 1.5 miles up the road from where police activated their lights. The Saginaw County prosecutor’s office disagrees, however. Wallace faces one felony count of fleeing and eluding. “I live in Detroit, and I know some people who were robbed by fake police officers,” Wallace said. “I was taught to find a well-lit area to pullover in.” Wallace said he was making a store run to get medicine for his girlfriend when he saw headlights in his rearview mirror, accelerating behind him. Wallace signaled and moved into the right lane to let the vehicle pass. The police car activated its lights and sirens to initiate a traffic stop. “I was not speeding up, turning off my lights or trying to get away,” said Wallace, 24. Police dash-cam video shows Wallace sticking his hand out the window and signaling. He said he did so to show police that he was going to pull over in the Sam’s Club parking lot. Saginaw Valley State University Police Officer Leon Wilson wrote in his police report that he initiated a traffic stop on Wallace because his vehicle fit the description of a car that he observed driving on a sidewalk on the SVSU campus. Wilson lost sight of the vehicle. “I was uncertain about the make and the model of the vehicle, but this vehicle looked like the same color and was leaving the immediate area,” Wilson wrote. Wilson reported that after he turned flashing lights at the intersection of Bay and Liberty, Wallace continued southbound at about 35 miles per hour as he approached Kochville Road. “The driver made no attempt to pull over and stop. I observed the driver stick his hands out of the window a couple of times. I did not see the driver throw anything from the vehicle, though it was dark and the road was poorly lit,” Wilson wrote. Outside the Sam’s Club, police arrested Wallace on a charge of felony fleeing and eluding. Wow… Wallace at a June 12 preliminary hearing in District Judge Terry Clark’s courtroom, was offered attempted fourth-degree fleeing and eluding, a one-year misdemeanor with a delayed sentence – meaning that after he completes probation, the charges will be dismissed. Wallace rejected the offer. The deal is available for a reasonable amount of time, Boyd said. Wallace said he has no interest in any deal of any sort short of dismissal. “I’m very certain I can stay out of trouble for a year, but I question whether they think I can,” Wallace said. “Most people will say fine, thank you for not sending me to jail. Well, that will be detrimental to me. “If I had to take a plea for a felony, I would be forced to resign my job, and I wouldn’t be able to get financial aid, and I wouldn’t be able to do anything with my degree. According to AP reports : Bill Cosby testified in 2005 that he got Quaaludes with the intent of giving them to young women he wanted to have sex with, and he admitted giving the sedative to at least one woman and “other people,” according to documents obtained Monday by The Associated Press. The AP had gone to court to compel the release of the documents; Cosby’s lawyers had objected on the grounds that it would embarrass their client. The 77-year-old comedian was testifying under oath in a lawsuit filed by a former Temple University employee. He testified he gave her three half-pills of Benadryl. Cosby settled that sexual-abuse lawsuit for undisclosed terms in 2006. His lawyers in the Philadelphia case did not immediately return phone calls Monday. Cosby has been accused by more than two dozen women of sexual misconduct, including allegations by many that he drugged and raped them in incidents dating back more than four decades. Cosby, 77, has never been criminally charged, and most of the accusations are barred by statutes of limitations. Cosby resigned in December from the board of trustees at Temple, where he was the popular face of the Philadelphia school in advertisements, fundraising campaigns and commencement speeches.
