Glory Johnson Blindsided By Brittney Griner Ending Marriage Brittney Griner’s wife Glory says she was completely caught off guard by Brittney’s decision to file for annulment . Despite Brittney’s statement to the contrary, Glory says the two never discussed a split, and this is coming out of nowhere for her. Via TMZ : Glory Johnson says she was “blindsided” by Brittney Griner’s decision to file for an annulment today — telling TMZ Sports she’s “extremely hurt” by Brittney’s actions. We spoke with Johnson’s sports marketing agent, D.J. Fisher, who tells us “Glory was unaware of the filing and still loves and cares for Brittney.” TMZ Sports broke the story … Griner filed the court docs Friday — saying Johnson essentially threatened her into getting married … and claims the whole thing was a fraud. New York Awards Teen $45k After Wrongful Arrest A Bronx teenager was awarded $45,000 from the city of New York after an NYPD officer arrested her and one of her friends on their way home from school in 2013. Then only 17, the young woman says the cop was throwing some weak lines her way and got upset when she wasn’t quite interested in picking up what he was putting down… Via MailOnline : Natalie Erlich, 19, from the Bronx, won the payout from the city last week and charges stemming from the incident were dropped, according to the New York Post. Erlich, who was 17 at the time, told the newspaper that she was grabbing an after-school snack with two friends in November 2013 when plainclothes officer Jose Peinan and another cop approached them. She said that he tried to strike up a conversation with her by noting that her camouflage hat and his camouflage pants matched, she told the Post. ‘I brushed him off and I laughed,’ she recalled. When she left, the officer followed her and he tried to continue speaking with her. She asked him if he was a cop and he accused her of blowing his cover. A van pulled up and Peinan ordered other officers to take her into custody. When she asked why she was being arrested, he responded: ‘You know why – you’re being a smartass.’ She and a friend were searched and taken to the police station. The two women were charged with Obstruction of Governmental Administration. She was released at 11am the next day. ‘I was scared,’ she told the New York Post. ‘I didn’t know what was going on.’ Erlich filed a lawsuit against Peinan and the city, claiming the cop was ‘angered at having his advances rebuffed’, court documents said. As news of Bruce Jenner’s transition to Caitlyn continues to make waves around the world, there hare been a wide range of responses , from supportive to not so much so… But some of the most outraged reactions appear to be over the announcement that Caitlyn will receive The Arthur Ashe Courage Award at the ESPY’s — particularly after rumors hit Twitter that a very accomplished disabled vet had been passed over for the award: According to Snopes reports — the source of the rumors appear to be this man — who also happens to think Bruce picked a stupid name. So, what’s the real story? Did Caitlyn shimmy past Noah to the front of the line for the ESPY or nah? However, none of the content of ESPN’s press release mentioned Noah Galloway (or Lauren Hill) by name as possible contenders for the 2015 Arthur Ashe Courage Award. The idea that Galloway was specifically passed over in favor of Jenner appeared to have stemmed from a joke made by a Twitter user (who also mocked Jenner’s choice of name). Via BusinessInsider : Rapper 50 Cent is the latest musician to speak out against Jay Z’s $9.99-per-month artist-owned music-streaming service, Tidal. During an interview with the Los Angeles radio station REAL 92.3, the rapper was asked his thoughts on the service. “They probably could’ve did something more exciting if they reached out, because the people you saw there don’t even own the rights to their music,” he said. “So they can’t say it’s gonna come out of Tidal. It has to go everywhere.” Essentially, 50 Cent is saying people don’t need to pay upward of $9.99 a month for music that will be available elsewhere, including rival streaming services such as Pandora and Spotify. In other words, he says, “Why would you actually buy Tidal to get something that would be everywhere else?” In March, Jay Z debuted Tidal with a star-studded presentation that included Usher, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Madonna, Kanye West, Daft Punk, Arcade Fire, Beyoncé, and many others. “Usher was there and Madonna and all these people. That’s a little bit more of a, when you say, ‘It was business,’ it’s more of a corporate play,” 50 Cent said. “When the record is playing on the air, they say, ‘Oh, all right.
