Source: Frazer Harrison / Getty Kodak Black Sexual Assault Case Gets A Trial Date About two years ago, rapper Kodak Black  was extradited from a Florida jail and transferred to a facility in South Carolina after being accused of raping a woman in a South Carolina hotel. Fast forward to the present day: the trial date for said sexual assault case has officially been set. According to NBC’s local Florence, South Carolina affiliate, the trial is set to begin in April of next year. Kodak, who appeared in a Florence courtroom this past Thursday, is being accused of pinning down, biting and raping the alleged victim while in a hotel in the same city back in February of 2016. Since the time of these initial accusations, the 21-year-old has been in-and-out of jail for a couple of different offenses. Just this past August, Black was released from jail after serving seven months for grand theft of a firearm, two charges of possession of a weapon or ammo by a Florida delinquent adult felon, possession of cannabis over 20 grams, child neglect without great bodily harm and two counts of parole violation. If Kodak is convicted in this sexual assault trial, he could be sentenced to a whopping 30 years in prison–so the outcome of this case is pretty important for both Black’s personal life and career, to say the least. It was only about a week ago that Kodak was handcuffed outside of a Hollywood nightclub following a scuffle inside the venue. This time, Black ended up being let go and wasn’t arrested for the incident, but simply got caught up in the wrong place at the wrong time.

This Is America: Woman Files Lawsuit Against NYPD Claiming They Forced Her To Give Birth While Handcuffed To Bed

Source: VW Pics / Getty Bronx Woman Claims NYPD Wouldn’t Un-Handcuff Her While She Was Giving Birth According to the NY Post , a lawsuit is claiming the NYPD forced a woman to give birth while shackled in handcuffs. The Bronx woman(identified as Jane Doe) claims she went into labor while being detained in a police holding cell. She says police reportedly took her to Montefiore Medical Center where the incident occurred. They allegedly handcuffed her wrists to the bed and shackled her ankles. The lawsuit details doctors warning the officers the “constraints were illegal under state law”. The woman says the experience “humiliated and traumatized her”. The woman is seeking an unspecified amount for damages for violation of her civil rights and demands immediate changes to police department policy.

Over the past couple days multiple immigrant women who worked at the Trump National Golf Club in New Jersey have come forward claiming that they were undocumented at the time of employment and that Trump and his golf course management knew it. In a bombshell interview from the NY Times , an undocumented Guatemalan woman named Victorina Morales claimed that she has worked without legal status as a housekeeper at the club for the past five years, which has empowered many other workers like her to speak up and tell their story as well. One of the women goes as far as to say that she was allowed to submit fraudulent documents by the employee who interviewed her for the job. Ms. Morales said she has been hurt by Mr. Trump’s public comments since he became president, including equating Latin American immigrants with “violent criminals”. This coupled with abusive comments from a supervisor at work about her intelligence and immigration status, made her feel that she could no longer keep silent.

However, the player was quickly picked up by the Washington Redskins, despite the cloud of domestic abuse floating over him. In an interview with Robin Roberts, Elissa claims it was a figurative slap in the face to see the player picked up as if nothing had ever happened after he had attacked her so violently he ruptured her eardrum. Rotisserie Rodent: Miami High School Students Find A Rat Crawling Inside Their Vending Machine [Video]

Seeing a rodent near your school’s dumpster is one thing, but finding a rat in the vending machine is another level of cringe. That was the case for students at a Delray Beach high school in Miami who said they lost their appetite after finding a rat crawling among the snacks in a vending machine. A spokesperson for the Palm Beach County School District says the principal was immediately made aware and the vending machine was locked so students couldn’t use it. The vending machine company sent out an exterminator the next day; but let’s hope they did more than remove the machine. Everyone knows that where there’s one visible rodent, there’s many more you haven’t seen.

Source: RapidEye / Getty Woman Kills Escaped Prison Inmate Who Broke Into Her House A couple of inmates decided to flee a South Carolina prison this week , one was recaptured and the other was killed by a startled woman in her nightgown. According to a Daily News report, two men, Bruce McLaughlin Jr. and Timothy Cleveland Dill, beat up two guards at the Pickens County Prison and then escaped around 2:40 a.m., Pickens County Sheriff Rick Clark said at a press conference. Dill was caught about 25 minutes later but McLaughlin evaded authorities and kicked in the rear door of a local home, eventually meeting his maker. Source: (Pickens County Sheriff’s Office) / (Pickens County Sheriff’s Office) The woman, who has not been identified, was home alone and said McLaughlin stole a foot-long knife-sharpening tool from her kitchen, then headed to her bedroom. She responded by shooting him in the head, Clark said. “This was a big guy. If she hadn’t had a weapon, there’s no telling what would have happened,” he said at the press conference. “I gave her a big hug. I told her how proud I was of her.” Clark said that the woman had a concealed weapons permit and called it a “shining example” of the importance of gun ownership. “She came out on the good on this end and the other guy, the bad guy, didn’t,” he said. McLaughlin was awaiting trial for first-degree burglary and grand larceny, while Dill had been charged with criminal sexual conduct.

TheJasmineBrand.com got the scoop that Brenner once reached out to Rose McGowan on Twitter in regards to seeking help. McGowan is known for bringing the #MeToo movement to a wider audience when she accused Harvey Weinstein of rape. As we reported earlier, Brenner allegedly had a 10 year affair with Love Is and Black Lightning producer Salim Akil, who is married to another TV creator Mara Brock Akil. During their alleged 10-year-relationship, Brenner says Akil would slap and strangle her, and force her to enact oral sex. She says at one point, Akil even urinated in her mouth. She is suing Akil for compensatory damages, emotional distress, attorney fees and punitive damages. Amber also claims the Akils took from an original script she wrote and use the material for Love Is , which airs on the OWN network. She is suing the Akils and OWN in federal court for copyright infringement. Salim has since denied Amber’s allegations through his lawyer, who said, “These allegations are deeply upsetting – but they are also totally untrue. We will defend Salim to the fullest against the false and offensive claims that a woman with whom he had a past relationship has included in multiple unsubstantiated lawsuits.” Neither OWN, nor the CW (where Black Lightning airs) have responded to Amber’s allegations.

As previously reported she and Porsha Williams exploded on each other via social media after NeNe felt her “little sis” betrayed her by telling producers that she spilled the beans on Kandi Burruss. Now, NeNe’s speaking in her Bravo blog and according to her, she’s finished and DONE trusting the ladies of RHOA, not just Porsha. NeNe’s admitting that she told Porsha what was said and added that her ex-little sis broke her trust. “Well, obviously I did! [tell Porsha] Listen, I consider Porsha to be like a little sister. I always try to give all these girls, Porsha included, great advice. I’m always an ear or shoulder to lean on anytime! I had not met Dennis at the time when Kandi was speaking about him at the lunch. All the girls, Kandi included, felt that since I was the closest to Porsha, I should tell her the info Kandi knew. Me not wanting to get involved in others’ relationships, I told them I wouldn’t say a thing to Porsha about it. I didn’t want to say anything to Porsha. Once I had a chance to speak with Porsha privately, I told her! She also told me that I was speaking to her in confidence and that it wouldn’t go any further! I thought her word was her bond. Later when I heard that my name was being thrown around as the one who let the cat out the bag, I went to Porsha and asked her why this was being said. She said no one had used my name, and if she was asked, she would not say my name. She had my back! Look, I’m loyal to those that are loyal to me! We made a pact, and I was riding with that, because I thought her word was her bond. Well, apparently not, because she sat right in her interview and said: “NeNe told me,” which I didn’t know until I saw the show last night where Porsha revealed that I told her! What gets me is that none of these girls can be trusted, and that’s a damn shame!” Ooop! Is NeNe wrong to give up on the ladies of RHOA??? It seems like every new season a friendship falls apart.

‘Merica At Wit’s End: Man Tried To Kill President Trump Using A Forklift

According to the Grand Forks Herald , Gregory Lee Leingang, 42, pleaded guilty in federal court on Friday to stealing a forklift with goals to “flip” Trump’s limousine on the day of his Mandan, North Dakota refinery speech. U.S. Assistant State’s Attorney Brandi Sasse Russell said that Leingang knew that the president was coming to town on September 6, 2017 to give his speech at the Andeavor Mandan Refinery, an area which had been cordoned off for his motorcade route. Before the president’s arrival at around 2 p.m., Leingang had stolen a forklift in Mandan and entered the motorcade route, according to Sasse Russell. “The intent was to basically try to get to the limo, flip the limo and get to the president and he wanted to kill the president,” Sasse said. Leingang’s plans were thwarted, however, when his forklift got stuck in a gated area. Once this happened, Leingang dipped only to be caught by the Mandan police, according to Sasse Russell. She said Leingang spilled all the beans about his assassination plans to detectives and a member of the U.S. Secret Service. “He was suffering a serious psychiatric crisis during this incident,” said Michelle Monteiro, Leingang’s public defender. Before stealing the forklift, Monteiro said Leingang set two fires that morning at the Bismarck Municipal Ballpark maintenance shop and the state parole and probation office. Leingang also pleaded guilty to setting these fires and was sentenced to 10 years in state prison. For his whole forklift fiasco, Leingang was charged in federal court with one count of attempting to enter or remain in a restricted building and on grounds while using a dangerous weapon, as well as one count of attempting to damage government property. He reached a plea deal with federal prosecutors on Friday for his first charge. Leingang also pleaded guilty to stealing the forklift and was sentenced to five years. In a separate case he pleaded guilty to burglary and received another five years. He is expected to stay in prison until 2038. Leingang told U.S. District Court Judge Daniel Hovland on Friday that he is diagnosed with bipolar disorder and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and he has been on and off medications since he was 12. Monteiro said Leingang is seeing a psychiatrist and therapist while in prison.
