Image via Maddie Meyer/Getty Images J.R. Smith Investigated By NYPD Now that LeBron James is gone, J.R. Smith can get back to his regularly-scheduled program. According to TMZ, Smith is being investigated by the NYPD after a fan filed a police report stating that the forgetful baller had stolen his cell phone and tossed it into a construction site. The story goes that the fan secretly snapped a pic of J.R. after he was asked not to. J.R. got mad, took the phone, and heaved it across the street from The Park nightclub in Chelsea, NY. The fan called the cops reporting that his $800 phone was damaged. J.R. isn’t being charged at this time, but the NYPD definitely want to have a conversation with him.

Bobby Brown Denies Domestic Violence Against Whitney Houston, Despite Old Documents — “The Public Record Is Wrong”

(Photo by Michel Dufour/WireImage) Bobby Brown Denies Ever Hitting Whitney Houston, Despite Court Documents Well, sure. Bobby Brown made an appearance on a panel during a Television Critics Association press tour Friday and things got intense. According to pagesix , a reporter asked him about a documented instance of domestic violence between himself and Houston, Brown denied such an incident ever took place. When another reporter told Brown that the incidents were a matter of public record, Brown responded simply, “The public record is wrong.” In 2003,  Brown was charged with battery  stemming from an altercation with Houston. She later appeared beside him in court with a visible bruise on her cheek when he turned himself in to authorities. Whitney publicist at the time had made an immediate statement about the altercation calling Bobby “apologetic”. Brown hopes that his upcoming BET miniseries about his life that he was at the press tour to promote — “The Bobby Brown Story” — will help sway misconceptions floating around about himself, his life and career. Brown said the biggest misconception about him is that he is “a bad guy.” Will you be watching his BET produced biopic?

Offset Arrested Just Outside Atlanta, Caught With A Gun In His Car

Offset Arrested Outside Atlanta Offset may end up spending some time away from his wife Cardi and their newborn baby girl Kulture. According to TMZ , the rapper was pulled over by officers while riding around on the outskirts of Atlanta for an improper lane change. Upon stopping Offset, cops realized that his tints were darker than the legal limit, then for whatever reason (like they need one) began searching the vehicle and discovered a firearm. Big problem for Offset, as he’s a three-time felon and not permitted to carry a weapon. He was hit with two felony charges — possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of a weapon during a crime. He also has two misdemeanors for good measure: possession of marijuana (under one ounce) and the improper lane change that started this whole mess. SMH, we hope he has good legal representation. He has a newlywed wife, a newborn baby , and a Summer/Fall tour with Drake to tend to… Getty/WENN
