‘Harry Potter’ Stars Emma Watson, Tom Felton Say Goodbye

Will there be tears? ‘Maybe one or two, just little ones,’ Watson tells MTV News. By Terri Schwartz, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Emma Watson Photo: MTV News The “Harry Potter” franchise comes to an end for fans on July 15, but for the stars of the best-selling franchise, the end came over a year and a half ago. “Potter” stars Emma Watson and Tom Felton hit the MTV Movie Awards red carpet Sunday to represent their series against previous victors “Twilight” but said that it was a bit surreal to be there supporting a series they finished filming so long ago. “It’s been over, like, a year and a half since we shot it, and I haven’t seen any of it,” Felton said. The final press rounds for “Deathly Hallows, Part 2” will be taking place this summer, something Watson called “very strange.” She said she would probably shed some more tears when the end came for “Harry Potter” all over again. “Maybe a few. Maybe one or two, just little ones,” she said. The “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2” footage that was shown during the MTV Movie Awards was the first Felton had seen of any of the “Part 2” footage, which is impressive, because many trailers have been released in anticipation of the July 15 release date. CHECK OUT PHOTOS OF THE “POTTER” CAST BACKSTAGE AT THE MOVIE AWARDS. “I’m excited to see the sneak peek!” he said excitedly. “That’s half the reason I’m here tonight, I want to see the sneak peek.” Since Felton hasn’t seen any of the “Part 2” footage, he has no idea how he will look fighting the final battle on the big screen in 3-D. That is something else he said he’s very excited to see. “I’m not sure whether that will add or subtract to my screen presence, but we’ll see,” Felton said with a laugh. ’30 Minutes Or Less’ Stars Call Car Chases ‘Easy’ At MTV’s Sneak Peek Week

Aziz Ansari and Nick Swardson share their action-hero dreams at Q&A session. By Eric Ditzian Aziz Ansari and Nick Swardson Photo: MTV News WEST HOLLYWOOD, California — The bar was set super high Friday night (June 3) during MTV’s final Sneak Peek Week screening. Since Monday, we’d been showing early looks at some of the summer’s hottest films and having crazy chats with the various casts. Take, for instance, the moment “Horrible Bosses” star Jason Sudeikis launched into a filthily hilarious explanation of the “The Twilight Saga” : the vampire story as told by a “Star Wars”-obsessed, mind-in-the-gutter comedian. The pressure was on Friday, and the guys from “30 Minutes or Less” — stars Aziz Ansari and Nick Swardson and director Reuben Fleischer — were more than up to the task. Their upcoming action/comedy, it should be said, served as quite the warm-up act for the crowd at the Pacific Design Center. The film stars Jesse Eisenberg as a beer-guzzling, joint-sucking pizza delivery boy who gets sucked into a harebrained scheme, hatched by slackers played by Danny McBride and Swardson, to rob a bank. Eisenberg’s character, with a bomb strapped to his chest and only hours to complete the heist, enlists his pal, a teacher played by Ansari, to help out in the crime. Things do not go very well, to hilarious results. The part represents Ansari’s biggest onscreen role to date. “This is the first time I’ve been around the whole movie,” he said. “Usually I’ll be around for a few minutes, and then they’re like, ‘Just say something about your penis and get out of here!’ ” It was all new for Swardson, too, who cracked that perhaps he has the makings of an action-hero career. “Maybe I’ll be the Predator!” Is launching such a career as easy as that? According to Ansari, at least, the car-chase portion of action flicks is a breeze. “Car chases are pretty easy,” he said. “You’re like, ‘Oooohhhhhhh!’ OK, let’s get another one. ‘Whooooooooa! Look out!’ ” On second thought, though, maybe these guys aren’t cut out to inherent the cinematic thrones of Stallone and Schwarzenegger. It just takes so damn long to shoot one of these flicks, Ansari said. After production wrapped on “30 Minutes,” he added, “I watched ‘Fast Five,’ and I was like, ‘How did this movie not take 20 years to make? Did Vin Diesel start making this when he was 5?’ ” Though Eisenberg and McBride couldn’t make the Q&A, the duo did tape a message for the crowd. “I sent my family a similar taped message at Thanksgiving,” McBride confessed. Said Eisenberg, “We hope you liked the movie. But if you didn’t, by this point it’s on you, because you’re still there.” As the laughter rolled in, no one seemed to be complaining about spending their Friday night at Sneak Peek Week. Taylor Swift Is ‘A Pretty Normal Girl,’ Emma Stone Says

At the country/pop star’s urging, Stone talks about her secret baking skills during MTV’s Sneak Peek Week. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Emma Stone Photo: MTV News Emma Stone and Taylor Swift are best gal pals. Stone has opened up about Swift in the past, revealing that the superstar “has such a sick sense of humor,” and when Stone sat down for a Q&A about “The Help” during MTV’s Sneak Peek Week , she divulged a bit more about their relationship. So is Stone digging Swift’s latest album, Speak Now ? “I am indeed. I was lucky enough to hear it pretty early on, so it’s so exciting for it to be out and own the songs instead of just be singing them [in my head],” she dished, sharing that just because Swift is one of the biggest pop stars in the world doesn’t mean she’s at all critical of her friends who can’t sing as well as her. “Taylor’s a pretty normal girl,” Stone said. ” … She’s not [like], ‘I am one of the world’s most popular singers.’ ” Stone’s kind words came shortly after an email was read to her from her superstar pal who wanted to know more about her love of baking. “I’ve been baking at least once a day,” she shared, revealing some of the sweet treats she’s been making the past few months. While she’s got some sweet skills when it comes to confections, when she attempts to bake for a large group, the results aren’t as delicious. “I made 60 biscuits once for a party,” she said. “They didn’t turn out so great, though. I think in bulk I’m a little subpar.” Will wizards, vampires or dream thieves steal the 2011 MTV Movie Awards ? Find out June 5, when the 20th annual show airs live at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Jason Sudeikis Likens ‘Twilight Saga’ To ‘Star Wars’

MTV Movie Awards host tells Jason Bateman that Bella and Edward kiss is ‘a big darn deal’ during our ‘Horrible Bosses’ Sneak Peek Week Q&A. By Eric Ditzian, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Jason Bateman, Seth Gordon and Jason Sudeikis at MTV’s Sneak Peek Week screening of “Horrible Bosses” Photo: Frank Micelotta/ PictureGroup WEST HOLLYWOOD, California — It all started with an innocent fan question, submitted via Twitter, during the MTV News Sneak Peek Week presentation of the summer comedy “Horrible Bosses.” The crowd at the Pacific Design Center had just finished watching an early screening of the flick and were taking in the live chat with stars Jason Bateman and Jason Sudeikis and director Seth Gordon, when the conversation turned to Sudeikis’ upcoming gig: hosting the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday. “Can the two Jasons top the Bella and Edward kiss from ‘Eclipse’ ?” the tweeter-in-question wanted to know. “What is that?” Bateman, clearly no devotee of the vampire franchise, wanted to know. So in stepped Sudeikis, who has been studying up on the Twi-ins and Twi-outs of Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner’s blockbuster series. The “Saturday Night Live” funnyman proceeded to launch into an uproarious rundown of the steamy love triangle at the heart of the “Twilight Saga.” As Sudeikis explained it, Pattinson plays a “handsome vampire kid,” Lautner portrays “this other fella floating around,” and Stewart is “flummoxed — she doesn’t know which way to go.” Hitting on everything from “Star Wars” to masturbation to “Little House on the Prairie,” the cinematic breakdown was both reverent and ridiculous. But any summary can’t quite capture the magic of Sudeikis playing film school prof, so hit play on the video and check it out yourself! “Eclipse,” meanwhile, is up for eight nominations, including two Best Kiss nods for KStew herself, one with Rob and one with Taylor. As Sudeikis put it, “Them smooching is a big darn deal!” Don’t forget to check out the Movie Awards when they air live on Sunday at 9 p.m. ET/PT. As we just announced, Pattinson, Stewart and Lautner will be on hand to present an exclusive clip from “Breaking Dawn – Part 1.” Will wizards, vampires or dream thieves steal the 2011 MTV Movie Awards ? ‘Art Of Getting By’ Stars Bring ‘Relatable’ Film To MTV’s Sneak Peek Week

‘I just loved the dynamic between all the different characters,’ Emma Roberts says during Q&A session. By Jocelyn Vena Elizabeth Reaser, Emma Roberts and Michael Angarano at the MTV Movie Awards Sneak Peek Week screening of “The Art of Getting By” Photo: Frank Micelotta / PictureGroup WEST HOLLYWOOD, California — At the Pacific Design Center on Tuesday night (May 31), the stars of ” The Art of Getting By ” assembled for MTV’s Sneak Peek Week , and they opened up about the New York City set of the coming-of-age dramedy. The film follows a set of New York teens as they embark on the real world and attempt to make grown-up decisions and say goodbye to their adolescence. The audience seemed to connect to the film’s drama and comedy, especially relating to the heart of the story as George (played by Freddie Highmore) attempts to change his image from careless slacker, win the heart of Sally (Emma Roberts) and embrace his talent as an artist. The film’s leading lady, Emma Roberts, confessed that she signed on thanks to her feelings for her character Sally. “I just loved the dynamic between all the different characters,” she said. “To me, I related to her personally.” Of shooting in New York, she gushed about the chance. “New York is a fun place to shoot, but it’s definitely hectic.” Roberts’ onscreen love interest, Michael Angarano, added, “I think [director] Gavin [Wiesen] wrote it in a way that made it very relatable. It’s definitely an authentic movie about a very specific time in your life. My least favorite part of the script was that [my] Dustin character was so unlikeable. He probably thinks he’s wiser than he probably is.” Elizabeth Reaser jumped at the chance to play Sally’s mom, who is very different from her character in “Twilight.” “It was the script, and then I feel in love with the characters,” she said. “I was fascinated by someone who would behave like this. “It was very exciting [to play this kind of mom]. . All those things were fascinating to me,” she added. “I think she’s a really good mom. I think she loves her daughter.” Stick with MTV News all week as we gear up for Sunday’s Movie Awards with a Sneak Peek Week screening and live-stream Q&A session every night this week.
