Reality star Toni Braxton stopped by Anderson Cooper to promote the second season of “Braxton Family Values.” The R&B singer chatted about living the single life in L.A. with her two sons and when asked about her love life, admitted that she was “playing in the snow.” Clearly baffled by the terminology, Cooper asked her to clarify and Toni explained “He’s Caucasian.” Toni also admitted: “I’ve never played in the snow before. This is a lovely snowflake..I love it.” Watch clip below: Catch up with Toni and the rest of the Braxton clan on the “Braxton Family Values” Season 2 premiere this Thursday, November 10th 9PM EST/8c RELATED POSTS: Toni Braxton Reportedly Fires Her Manager/Brother-In-Law Toni Braxton Is A Cougar! We’ve got all your Caped Crusader news in The Weekly Rising, MTV News’ new ‘Dark Knight Rises’ column. By Kevin P. Sullivan Christian Bale and Tom Hardy on the New York City set of “Dark Knight Rises” Photo: Getty Images Because we know you’re as obsessed with all things Batman as we are, we’re kicking off The Weekly Rising, a brand-new column that will cover everything “The Dark Knight Rises,” from news roundups to rumors and analysis. Every Monday, we’ll give you the lowdown on the week in Bats and prep you for the big release next July. Spoilers are inevitable, and we’ll be sure to do our best to give you the heads-up when you might need to start covering your ears and saying “Na na na na na na na na Batman!” This week, we’ll fill you in on our NYC set visit from last week, give an update from filming back on Wall Street over the weekend and offer a tip on how to get your voice into “The Dark Knight Rises” (hint: It involves screaming at your computer, so make sure no one else is home). NYC Becomes Gotham It would have taken a lot of will power to work and live in New York City and not feel at least a small impulse to go check out what they’ve been filming around the city. The location shoots in Manhattan began a little over a week ago, and there has been a ton of great stuff happening. Production converted Trump Tower into the headquarters for Wayne Enterprises , making it the third form of Gotham’s mystical shape-shifting skyscraper. Outside the building, Joseph Gordon-Levitt as John Blake helped a very Patrick Bateman-looking Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne through a crowd of reporters. Spoilers ahead! We’ll let you know when you can come back out. Last weekend, things got more interesting. There was a Batwing hovering over Wall Street and, even more interesting, a large bomb-like object with a timer on it. Lots of theories got thrown around, including the popular “Bane’s earthquake machine,” which honestly seems too unrealistic. True believers in the earthquake-gadget theory were quick to reply, “What about the microwave emitter from ‘Batman Begins,’ smart guy? Huh? Is that more realistic? You think you’re so smart.” Our response: Anyone who has seen a workplace microwave after someone nuked a bowl of chili without covering it knows what kind of destruction microwaves can dole out. End spoilers. On the Scene So after that, how could we not stake out the set? Maybe we’d catch another motorcycle chase or at least see Bale in full Batman regalia, so we headed down to the set of “Magnus Rex,” the fake title of the production, at 32nd Street and Fifth Avenue to see what we could see. Turns out, we picked the wrong day to go. Check out the embedded video from our set visit; there aren’t any spoilers, because we had no idea what was going on. Not a total disappointment, but the real sadness didn’t set in until Saturday, the day we didn’t visit the set, and all hell broke loose. Spoilers are back! Batman and Bane literally fought a battle, full armies in tow, on Wall Street over the weekend — the cops with Bats and some pissed-off citizenry with Bane. Pictures and videos from the downtown war popped up everywhere, the best ones over at SuperheroHype.com , all of them mocking us. But enough about our deep, deep sadness — what the hell was going on? Most of the talk about the general arc of “Rises” points to the disintegration of Gotham’s infrastructure with Bane leading point. The fight looked like a continuation from the L.A. shoot, where Batman and Bane duked it out in the snow, so we could be seeing the same sequence here. Is Bane’s army just the citizens of Gotham or the long-rumored return of the League of Shadows? We say it was citizens — not shadowy enough. End spoilers. Make Your Voice Heard Finally, last week, composer Hans Zimmer offered fans a unique opportunity to join in on some cult-like chanting. If you head over to UJAM , you can record your own version of the “Bah-Sah-Rah” chant from the trailer and the viral campaign that unveiled the first picture of Tom Hardy as Bane. Speaking of which, where the hell is the viral campaign? “Why So Serious” was a major component of the lead-up to “The Dark Knight,” and all we’ve seen so far is the Bane picture . We can’t be the only ones who miss receiving clues from the Joker and waiting while more enthusiastic fans completed tasks, so we could reap the rewards of their hard work. Now we want to hear from you: It was rumored last week that a new trailer for “The Dark Knight Rises” will premiere December 16 in front of “Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows,” the same day the six-minute prologue appears before IMAX screenings of “Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol.” What do you want to see from the trailer and prologue? Let me know on Twitter via @KPSull, and we’ll discuss next week. Also, be sure to check out our new weekly discussion show, “Talk Nerdy to Me.” Check out everything we’ve got on “The Dark Knight Rises.” For breaking news and previews of the latest comic book movies — updated around the clock — visit SplashPage.MTV.com . Pair team up for new version of Carey’s ‘All I Want for Christmas Is You’ on Bieber’s Under the Mistletoe. By Jocelyn Vena Justin Bieber Photo: Getty Images / MTV News / Jessica Hyndman Justin Bieber has been very busy this week. He dropped a new album, Under the Mistletoe on Tuesday, appeared on “Dancing With the Stars,” freestyled over the Throne’s “Otis,” and not only shot a music video with Boyz II Men for “Fa La La,” but also managed to squeeze in a shoot with Mariah Carey . Bieber and Carey both tweeted about the video for their reimagining of her classic holiday tune “All I Want for Christmas Is You.” “Might have to go shoot this video with @mariahcarey for our duet! focused on the positives … the music. #UNDERTHEMISTLETOE,” Bieber tweeted about the shoot, referring to a California woman’s claim that he fathered her child . “4:30am and going hard on the ‘All I Want for Christmas Is You’ shoot with @mariahcarey !! #superfestive #underthemistletoe,” he later shared. The original video for the tune, shot to look like a home video, features Carey decked out in skimpy Santa suits and snow-bunny garb, running around decorating Christmas trees, playing in the snow, hanging with Santa and his elves, and generally getting into the holiday spirit. Mariah Carey seemed equally stoked about the video shoot, gushing about it on her Twitter: “Shooting the final take of ‘All I Want.’ duet with surprise appearance by Jilly beans & directed by my friend, the wonderful Sanaa Hamri,” she said, noting that the shoot was made even more special because it coincided with one of her personal milestones. “Happy anniversary to [my album] MERRY CHRISTMAS II YOU!!!” she added. “On the night we’re shooting the new ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ with @justinbieber.” Hamri has shot videos for Carey’s “Crybaby,” “Bringing on the Heartbreak” and “Don’t Stop (Funkin’ 4 Jamaica),” as well as clips for Nicki Minaj, Jay-Z and Christina Aguilera. The shoot lasted all night, with Bieber tweeting Thursday morning (November 3) that Carey and the crew had wrapped up. “Just wrapped the ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS YOU with the icon and amazing @mariahcarey !” he wrote. “HONORED and I think this video is gonna b classic!” Bieber told MTV News that getting Carey to join him for the duet was surprisingly easy. “Mariah Carey is doing it with me! It’s incredible. So excited,” he said. “We wanted Mariah from the beginning, but we kind of thought it was really hard, so we didn’t really push the idea. But she’s on my label, so we reached out to some people, she got in contact with us, and Randy Jackson was actually at the studio with us, and I was like, ‘Yo, you think you can help get Mariah on the Christmas album?’ And he was like, ‘I’m actually going to see her in New York on Monday,’ and I was like ‘Yo, go do that!’ ” Which Under the Mistletoe song would you like to see Justin make a video for? A video I made for Justin Bieber using the song “Whatever Will Be” by Vanessa Hudgens. Lyrics: Sometimes I feel like I’m a bird with broken wings At times I dread my now and envy where I’ve been But that’s when quiet wisdom takes control At least I’ve got a story no one’s told [Chorus] I finally learned to say Whatever will be will be I’ve learned to take The good, the bad, and breathe ‘Cause although we’d like To know what life’s got planned No one knows if shooting stars will land These days it feels naive to put your faith in hope To imitate a child, fall backwards on the snow ‘Cause that’s when fears will usually lead you blind But now I try to under-analyze [Chorus] I finally learned to say Whatever will be will be I’ve learned to take The good, the bad, and breathe ‘Cause although we’d like To know what life’s got planned No one knows if shooting stars will land Is the rope I walk wearing thin? Is the life I love caving in? Is the weight on your mind A heavy black bird caged inside? Say, “Whatever will be will be” Take the good, the bad Just breathe ‘Cause although we’d like To know what life’s got planned No one knows if shooting stars will land Whatever will be will be And I have learned to take The good, the bad, and breathe ‘Cause although we’d like To know what life’s got planned Things like that are never in your hands No one knows if shooting stars will land http://www.youtube.com/v/fzjG3_0H-Sc?f=videos&app=youtube_gdata Read more: Whatever Will Be (Justin Bieber Video) with lyrics
Spike Jonze-directed clip features action figure alter egos, a Yeti and Santigold. By Gil Kaufman The Beastie Boys’ Ad Rock as an action figure in “Don’t Play No Game That I Can’t Win” Photo: Beastieboys.com The Beastie Boys have donned plenty of disguises in their videos over the years, playing everything from cheesy cops to futuristic sanitation workers and famous Hollywood actors in their famed “Fight for Your Right Revisited” mini-movie. But they break new territory in the “Don’t Play No Game That I Can’t Win” clip, which premiered on Monday night. The Spike Jonze joint draws inspiration from such diverse sources as “Robot Chicken,” the 1960s “In Like Flint” spy spoof movies, “Toy Story,” “Shaun of the Dead” and low-rent homemade YouTube videos. Longtime pal and collaborator Jonze (“Where the Wild Things Are”) sends up tough-guy action-hero legend G.I. Joe in the clip, which finds the B-Boys battling against assassins who chase them off the stage and into the snow as guns blaze, TNT is detonated and plastic bodies go up in toxic flames in the purposely hand-made looking clip. In fact, Jonze made no attempt to fall back on CGI to make the video feel futuristic, instead leaving in the visible guide wires and manipulating the figures with hands that often intrude into the frame. It’s not all just guns and fake blood, though: Halfway through the 11-minute version of the clip on the Boys’ site , they are saved from a potentially deadly zombie attack by a giant Yeti who joins their team and hops a helicopter ride with them into the clouds, where, you guessed it, jet-pack-wearing assassins fire RPGs at them, killing their abominable pal. In classic Beastie fashion, as they free-fall from their lofty perch, the boys engage in some witty banter, with MCA asking Mike D about the rumors he read online that he was planning on breaking from the crew and going solo. “I never said that,” Mike responds as the free fall continues. Chutes deployed, they manage to miraculously change outfits, only to be attacked by killer sharks. Luckily, track guest Santigold (in a Bond girl-style plunging neckline wetsuit) is on hand to bail them out, joining them in their submarine as they dodge torpedoes. The Boys finally get to relax at the end and chill on their boat, drinking wine coolers as Santi water-skis behind them and Jonze assures viewers that “no Yetis were harmed during the making of this film.” Related Photos Beastie Boys: A Career Retrospective Related Artists Beastie Boys
Produced by Oliver Noble over at the FilmDrunk blog, this video lays out the increasingly popular phenomenon Skin Central likes to call “Munning”: the marketing of a hot actress as a “nerd” in an attempt to appeal to the geeky guy demographic. Now, we don’t know Olivia Munn personally, so we can’t say if her Star Wars love is real or not, but it’s certainly skinteresting to see them all side by side: So what’s your take on this phenomenon? Think these girls are faking the fandom or are they really devoted dorks? More importantly, does it put the plasma in your lightsaber or leave you as cold as the snow drifts of Hoth? In real life, Lily Collins has already found her prince. She’s dating Taylor Lautner . On the big screen, though, the daughter of music legend Phil Collins will be waiting for one, as she’s been cast as Snow White in Relativity Media’s upcoming movie based on the Brothers Grimm story. Collins will appear opposite Julia Roberts (as the evil stepmother) and Armie Hammer (as the aforementioned prince) in this “action-comedy” retelling of the classic tale, set for a June 2012 release. There’s actually another Snow White movie in the works and it also has a Twilight connection: Kristen Stewart has landed the lead role in Snow White and the Huntsman . Charlize Theron will also star.

Ellen De Generes is not someone you want to lie to – just ask Selena Gomez . The 18-year-old actress was caught out by the chat show host who reminded her of her last appearance on the show – when Selena denied she was dating Justin Bieber. De Generes played the clip of Gomez’s last visit on the show from September 2010 which saw the actress scrunch up her face and strongly deny she was dating the pop star. When asked if she was dating Bieber Selena responded: ‘He’s little. He’s like my little brother. That’s weird to me.’ The Sucker Punch actress was showing off her flawless figure in a tight bodycon white dress and had her brown hair flowing loosely as she was interviewed on the Ellen De Generes show aired today. Ellen teased Selena for denying the romance and making her look a fool going public with her relationship with the pop singer at the Vanity Fair Oscar party, while the actress pleaded she didn’t lie. The young couple have been separated in recent weeks as Justin touring the U.K. and Ellen presented the actress with a pillow with Justin’s face printed onto the front to keep her company while she is away. Today the Never Say Never singer cooled down at The Chill Factor, Manchester’s indoor real snow slope. Justin was seen snowboarding down the snow with a red cap on backwards and judging from the look on his face he didn’t seem to confident on the board.
