Here’s a rumored relationship that we never saw coming, but that also makes perfect sense when you think about it: Ever since Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Brad Pitt, there’s been constant speculation about who she’ll end up with next. While there’s widespread disagreement on whether or not Angie will or “should” get remarried, there’s a consensus that her new love interest will be someone who fits with her “type.” That is — a handsome A-lister with philanthropic ambitions and a self-consciously eccentric or “artsy” vibe. Unfortunately, that’s a tall order even for Angie. Johnny Depp is insufficiently woke; Leonardo DiCaprio is too busy banging models , and Bono is already married. Plus, he’s Bono. And by all accounts, Angie hasn’t shown much of an interest in dating in the years since her separation from Pitt. But it looks like love may have fallen into her lap in the form of an ex-co-star and longtime friend. According to Star magazine (so yeah, take this with a grain of salt), Jared Leto — who starred with Jolie in Girl, Interrupted and Alexander — has been successful in his pursuit of a relationship with Angelina: “Jared reached out to Angie a few weeks ago about a movie he’s co-writing, which he’d like her to star in, and the pair started spending time together – initially as friends, but things turned romantic after Angie realized she had strong feelings,” a source tells the tabloid. The insider adds that Leto has been “supporting her emotionally, and she says it’s because of him that she’s not broken down.” And if this tipster is to be believed (huge “if”), the romance is moving along rather quickly: “Jared’s practically moved into Angie’s house, and he’s been staying there on and off for the last couple of months,” the source claims. As for Angelina’s army of children, the source claims “they just think he’s a good friend.” The insider adds: “Angie doesn’t want to put anything else on their plates, but she’s hoping that as soon as the divorce is finalized, they can go public with their relationship.” Well, on the plus side, if there’s one set a kids in the world who wouldn’t be freaked out by the sudden presence of Jared Leto at the breakfast table (another big “if”), it’s the Pitt-Jolie children.
Though Eric Rosenbrook and Leida Margaretha quit 90 Day Fiance after facing backlash and even death threats, their story continues. Eric and his middle daughter, Tasha, had a falling out over Leida so severe that Eric went to the police. Now we learn that, thanks to how Leida treats his youngest daughter, he might no longer be allowed to see her. RadarOnline reports that Eric went so far as to file a harassment report with the police against his own teenage daughter. Why? Because he didn’t like the things that she was saying on social media. “Eric advised that Nataszia has been posting things on her social media accounts,” a police officer noted in his report. The two of them told the officer that Tasha was “trying to damage Eric and Leida’s reputation.” Eric and Leida have done a find job of that on their own on 90 Day Fiance . They don’t need any help. 90 Day Fiance viewers all know his daughter as Tasha. Honestly, if your parents name you Nataszia and you are not a Russian dragon, you’re entitled to be on the outs with them as an adult. The officer’s notes also reveal: “Eric stated that he believes this is defamation of character.” He apparently believed that this was so serious that he contacted the actual police about his daughter’s social media posts. Eric and Leida showed the officer Tasha’s social media posts, but he was less than impressed by the evidence. “Nataszia does mention only Leida in one post,” the officer notes. “But there is no last name.” “The post also states that someone [Leida] had her Instagram account deleted for harassment and bullying,” the officer adds. The officer writes: “I was advised that was because Leida, in the past did post things in response to Nataszia’s post.” “And,” the officer points out. “That is no longer the case.” While Tasha revealed that Eric was previously homeless and living in his car and also defended herself against his claims, Eric didn’t have much of a case. The officer advised Eric that he would be “just as guilty as Nataszia” because of the things that he had claimed about her. There was also the matter of Tasha’s freedom of speech. If Eric feels that she is committing libel or slander, he could take her to court over it — civil court. With some very specific exceptions, you cannot press criminal charges against people for saying unflattering things on social media. The next day, on December 6, Tasha and her mother, Tania, contacted the police. (We don’t think that the timing was suspect, but rather that they wanted to make sure that law enforcement saw Tasha’s side) “All of the posts were of similar nature to what Eric and Leida informed me that Nataszia was doing to them,” the officer’s report reads. “Nataszia advised that this has been bothering her mentally,” the police note. “And it sheds a negative image of her to her ‘fans.’” Tasha is a cosplay enthusiast and, of course, attracted additional fans after her appearances on 90 Day Fiance . “Nataszia requested that I ask Eric and Leida to quit posting negative stuff about her,” the report says. The officer gave Tasha and Tania the same reminder: both parties have said unkind things. Also, Eric and Leida also have the legal right to speak their minds, with certain very speciic exceptions. If Tasha and Tania wanted to find the money to take them to court, that would be a civil matter. However, Tania did bring up another subject is much more important than anything that anyone in the family has written on social media. Tania asked police about her younger daughter, who is still a minor. “She stated there are no court documents on custody,” the officer’s report reveals. “And,” the report says, Tania informed police “that there is an arrangement with Eric as far as placement with the other child verbally.” “Tania said that her other child does not want to go stay with Eric anymore,” the report reveals. The child apparently feels this way “because Leida belittles the child and makes fun of her.” That sounds very upsetting. No minor should be treated that way by a grown adult. Though police may have felt exhasperated by this family at this point, they are no strangers to dealing with family squabbles. The officer did inform Tania that, if there is no court order or written agreement for custody, Tania’s daughter does not have to visit Eric. Eric and Tania will have to hash it out in court. Of course, this could give Leida exactly what she wants, as viewers saw her demand that Eric stop paying child-support to Tania. Tania also mentioned that she wishes for Eric to stop harassing her at her home. “I advised Tania that she needs to contact the law enforcement agency where she lives,” the officer notes. Tania needs to do that “and inform them on what is going on and her wishes about Eric staying off her property.” It sounds like Tania had initially only gone there to support Tasha, but then asked her own questions. Mika Brzezinski is trying very hard to extricate her foot from her mouth right about now. But will it be enough to save her job? The Morning Joe co-host is in boiling hot water at the moment after she used a homophobic remark to describe Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on air. Brzezinski was talking about Pompeo's interview on cable news rival Fox & Friends, where the very high-level Cabinet member explained his view on the murder of Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi. Pompeo said that while the killing a “tragic incident” that the United States doesn't approve of, the Saudis are still “an important ally” of this country. Hence the lack of any action ordered against them by President Trump. “I understand that Donald Trump doesn't care … But why doesn't Mike Pompeo care right now?” Brzezinski asked during an interview with Sen. Dick Durbin. She then got in trouble by adding out loud: “Are the pathetic deflections that we just heard when he appeared on Fox & Friends, is that a patriot speaking, or a wannabe dictator's butt boy? “I'm dead serious. I'm asking, are these the words of a patriot?” That second line may be the best part: Brzezinski was dead serious in wondering: Is Secretary of State Pompeo a wannabe dictator's butt boy?!? As you might imagine, Brzezinski garnered a whole lot of backlash for the use of this term, prompting a response and an apology on Twitter: Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough were among the President's staunchest allies back in 2015 and 2016, around the time of the Republican primary. They often interviewed the then-candidate. But the hosts and the Commander-in-Chief have since had a major falling out, with Trump going off on Brzezinski last summer and sparking a bizarre social media feud . As you may remember from this week's 90 Day Fiance recap , Leida Margaretha made her worst impression yet upon viewers. Her disregard for Eric's family struck such a nerve that some inexcusable trolls bombarded her social media with graphic death threats. Struggling through tears, Leida lashes out at the people who have threatened the life of her, Eric, and her 5-year-old son. Leida Margaretha and Eric Rosenbrook released a very dramatic video on Instagram in response to death threats that they have received. We have included that video for you to watch. Though Eric appears to be calmly dissociating or perhaps watching television in the background, Leida is in tears and clearly distraught. “We put our lives in danger. We put our lives on the front lines,” Leida laments. “This is not fair,” she continues. “This is not worth it at all. We are never gonna do this again.” “I swear to God,” Leida vows. “Once the contract is done, we will reveal everything that they never showed you on the show.” “How can people wish me to die?” Leida asks through tears. “This is not fair,” she exclaims, growing increasingly distraught as the video goes on. “I am a human too,” she reminds 90 Day Fiance viewers. “And when I signed up for this,” Leida wails. “I didn't know. We didn't know they're going to portray us that bad.” Eric chimes in: “And TLC's not going to do anything about it, of course.” Leida also wrote out a message sharing her frustrations. “No we won’t be on the next season,” Leida writes. “Sharp doesn’t care about the death threats. We will deal everything on our own.” “Death threats are not acceptable under any circumstances,” Leida affirms. No reality star's drama has ever warranted death threats, folks. “If I made those death threats by myself I wouldn’t let the authorities involved,” she says, referring to theories that she is fabricating the threats for attention. “Whoever says, 'Boohoo Leida this is on you'… Thank you so much,” she writes. “And,” she continues. “I pray you will never experience the same way like I have.” “My son doesn’t deserve to be killed or kidnapped,” Leida points out. “I keep it real. I never lie,” she says. “I value honesty and I hope it will help me at the court later.” Eric also wrote on Instagram. “I get why many of you hate on us so much that feel the need to contact us and spew your hate,” he says. “But for the love of God, leave her son alone!” Eric implores the couple's haters. Eric points out: “He doesn’t deserve any of this from any of you!” He's right. Whatever you think of Leida and Eric, Leida's 5-year-old son has done nothing wrong. But also, just don't send death threats. RadarOnline spoke to the police, who confirmed that they had been in contact with Eric and Leida about the death threats. “An officer was dispatched because Leida received threatening messages through social media,” Chief of Police Mark Schauf reports. “The officer gave them advice,” Schauf shares. “And counseled them on what they could do to ensure their safety.” Police do not offer 'round-the-clock protection as if they were bodyguards, even to people who have received death threats. There just aren't enough police officers to give everyone a bodyguard. Schauf explains: “They asked for police presence because of their profile on 90 Day Fiance. ” No matter what you think of Leida as a girlfriend or even a human being, don't send her or anyone else any death threats.

Amongst the Black students who received the honor are Lia Petrose , a University of Pittsburgh alumna who studied economics and neuroscience and minored in chemistry, University of Pennsylvania senior Anea B. Moore who is studying law and Africana studies, and Austin T. Hughes from the University of Iowa who is currently majoring in theatre arts, creative writing and literature and Japanese linguistics. All three students have used their knowledge to make an impact in their local communities and beyond. Petrose led a research project in Malawi surrounding the economics of health information systems, Moore has explored how race, class, and gentrification are intertwined through her research, and Hughes has received several awards for his creative writing. “This year’s American Rhodes Scholars—independently elected by 16 committees around the country meeting simultaneously—once again reflect the extraordinary diversity that characterizes the United States,” said Elliot F. Gerson , American Secretary of the Rhodes Trust, in a statement . “These Scholars plan to study a wide range of fields across the social sciences, biological and medical sciences, physical sciences and mathematics, and the humanities. They are certain to enrich our future.” The Rhodes Trust has come a long way when it comes to the representation of Black scholars. According to the news outlet, the first African-American to receive a scholarship was philosopher Alain LeRoy Locke in 1907. In 2017, 10 Black students were named Rhodes scholars.
