The endless stories of police officers abusing their power by killing or intentionally harming black people continue with each passing day. These days when you log into your social media accounts, you are likely to see a new hashstag of a black person who was the victim of police brutality and racial injustice. The latest […]
Corey Feldman Today Show Performance He went there. Corey Feldman asked the public how they would feel if he reacted to criticism over his recent Today show performance by committing suicide. “I don’t care if you’re hiding behind a computer or a keyboard — it’s not an excuse. It’s not acceptable,” Feldman told Us Weekly nearly a week after the incident. “The somebody that you’re talking about is a real person with real feelings and real emotions. “And I’ll tell you what, if I hadn’t been through this one thousand times, I might’ve taken my life over it. And then how would everybody feel?” It wasn’t until he boarded a plane that Feldman was able to read the comments from earlier that day after performing “Go 4 It,” from his album, Angelic To The Core . Feldman, a child actor, grew up in the harsh limelight of Hollywood, and has been sober since he was 19. Were this incident to happen in the past, Feldman thinks he wouldn’t have handled it as well as he did . “That’s all I could think about when I went on that plane,” he said. “What if the plane crashed? I was thinking, ‘What would happen if I died in a plane crash right now? How would everybody feel?’ “That the last thing that I saw before I got on that plane was them calling me a piece of crap.” It took some time, but Feldman eventually came to terms with the fact that sometimes the haters are gonna hate. “Going into anything, you’re going to have some people love it and you’re going to have some people hate it and that’s OK. … I stand behind it 100 percent,” he told Us. “We have gotten a lot of interest. When they see you pulling in these kinds of numbers, like 10 million views on a video in two days, that’s really unheard of. “Nobody expected this. But whether you love it or you hate it, you can’t stop watching it. And that sells tickets. “At the end of the day it’s success. We have succeeded.” Good on ya, Feldman.
By now, you’ve almost certainly heard the news that Angelina Jolie has filed for divorce from Brad Pitt . Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Divorce: How Much is at Stake? Press coverage and social media rumors have been everywhere, but in the nearly two full days since the separation was announced, we’ve come no closer to any concrete understanding of what drove one of Hollywood’s most celebrated couples apart. It might be quite some time before we find out exactly what prompted Jolie to take steps toward legally ending her marriage (just a few days after separating Pitt, no less) but there’s one explanation that seems to be popping up more than any other. And now it’s being corroborated by both the most reliable names in the celebrity gossip game ( People , TMZ, Us Weekly , etc.) and even a couple celebrities who are willing to be named. According to the consensus from folks who are happy to stick their neck out a bit and be held accountable for their stories, Brad wasn’t cheating with Marion Cotillard or anything quite so sexy and scandalous as all that. Rather, all signs seem to indicate that it was Pitt’s drug use and quick temper coupled with just a general conflict in lifestyles that prompted Angie to pull the plug. And who are the celebrities who are backing up this version of events? Well, before we go any further, we should note that we’re using the term “celebrity” very loosely here, and only one of the two whistleblowers seems to have any genuine insider knowledge about the situation. We’ll start with Chelsea Handler (* pauses for customary tossing of smartphones and laptops out the nearest window *), who, as usual showed up to spew bile all over the scene and turn non-believers to stone with her icy glare: Chelsea weighs in. #brangelina pic.twitter.com/mCZsP5AHIy — Chelsea (@Chelseashow) September 21, 2016 “Brad and Angelina always said they wouldn’t get married until everyone could get married. And always said I wouldn’t get married until they got divorced,” Chelsea joked (we think that qualifies as a joke) in a video posted to her social media pages today. “There are rumors that part of the problem Brad was drinking and smoking too much weed,” she continued. “I wonder why he needed to self-medicate … Oh, yeah, because he married a f–king lunatic, that’s why!” Wit, thy name is Chelsea. It’s worth noting that Handler is close friends with Jennifer Aniston, which might explain the slight bias apparent in her comments. A slightly more reliable and significantly less grating account of Brad and Angie butting heads over his substance abuse comes to us courtesy of actor Richard Bohringer who spoke about the experience of working with Pitt and Jolie on the 2015 film By the Sea . “They are curious, these American stars,” Bohringer told the French magazine Closer. “Brad Pitt, he lives on whiskey. She is a funny girl. They’re a funny couple.” So there you have it. View Slideshow: Angelina Jolie Divorces Brad Pitt, Celebrities React in SHOCK Angie was crazy and Brad was drunk. Britney Spears may be an money making puppet to her horrible hick parents who were likely too retarded and inbred to realize trying to get their baby girl famous was an unlikely dream..it was pre social media…but hick mom just kept showing up and dancing monkey daughter delivered and still delivers…all medicated and rich as fuck…so many years later…which should remind you that if have a stupid dream like making your kid famous because you find it cute..it could work out for you if you’re too dumb to be rational…because it happened for Britney…and if you play it right…you can hold them hostage into their 30s like a cult leader they can’t escape…so that you can run all the revenue she makes…giving her an allowance and she doesn’t need to know better..because she’s coddled…and her worrying gets in the way of her earning.. Well she’s apparently got access to her social media – where she hasn’t done any videos of her begging to be saved….but instead shows off her tight body…despite being a mom body…dancing…and panty flashing…and she’s fucking perfect…old..but perfect…living the dream…I’m talking about K-Fed…he’s living the dream…all thanks to this… The post Britney Spears Hot Fit Body and Panty Flash Dance of the Day appeared first on DrunkenStepfather .
Hillary Clinton Tells White People That They Need To Help Fight Racial Injustice Despite there not being much national television coverage surrounding the unscrupulous killing of Terence Crutcher, The Steve Harvey Morning show wasn’t about to let the subject go ignored. This morning they spoke to Democratic Presidential nominee Hillary Clinton about the newest social media hashtag and she took time to specifically address her fellow anglo-saxons. Via HuffingtonPost On Tuesday’s episode of “The Steve Harvey Morning Show,” the former secretary of state and current Democratic presidential nominee said she wanted to speak “directly to white people” and let them know that “this is not who we are.” “How many times do we have to see this in our country?” Clinton said. “In Tulsa, an unarmed man with his hands in the air. This is just unbearable. And it needs to be intolerable.” “Maybe I can, by speaking directly to white people, say, look, this is not who we are,” she continued. “We have got to do everything possible to improve policing, to go right at implicit bias.” Hillz is making a concerted effort to gain the trust of black folks by speaking to the social justice issue that many of us are concerned about, but is it too little, too late? Ashley Williams has opened up about something as personal as it gets for women: A miscarriage. In a detailed and emotional essay for The Human Development Project, The Jim Gaffigan Show star talks with fans about how she found out she miscarried during a trip at Whole Foods with her son Gus, who was nearly two years old at the time. Williams also delves into what transpired after this tragic incident. She says she realized a great deal about herself as a result of the miscarriage and has a message for others who have suffered the same experience but felt they couldn’t discuss it. “My (still bloated) gut feeling is that something even more painful silences us – the fear that we, as women, are failures,” writes Williams, who miscarried eight weeks into her second pregnancy. “Procreation, the driving purpose in our constructed notion of womanhood, is broken by this sudden trauma.” What would the 37-year old like to tell other women in her situation? “You are not broken. You did nothing wrong. You are strong, you are brave, and there is hope.” That feels worth repeating, in old: You are not broken. You did nothing wrong. You are strong, you are brave, and there is hope. In her moving essay, the actress – who played one of Ted Mosby’s major love interests on How I Met Your Mother – explains that she was shocked to learn she isn’t alone. Not by a long shot. Most of her friends have also suffered a miscarriage. “Medical confirmations of the lost pregnancy from OBs, chiropractors, and my acupuncturist use jargon that feeds more self-sabotaging thoughts that I am deficient,” Williams writes. The words tossed about in her presence included: Abnormality … Defect … Incapable … Incomplete … Not viable. You can imagine how painful those are for someone who just miscarried to hear. So Williams wants to change the conversation. “I stand here in front of you, [needing] to normalize my miscarriage,” she concludes. “And I’d love to hear about yours. “I believe it will allow me – and us – to gather hope and strength. As we talk, let’s add some of these words into our lexicon: Survivor … Strong … Abundant … Mother … Hope . About one in four women have miscarried at some point in their lives. Williams want them all to form a movement. “I invite you to start, with me, a vocal army of the 25 percenters who can normalize miscarriage in the social sphere. I was right there next to you at Whole Foods, bleeding out of my shorts. “Now I’m well. I’m a survivor. Healed, I will try again.” View Slideshow: 26 Stars Who Have Suffered a Miscarriage Amen, Ashley Williams. Getting kids ready and off to school on time is never easy, but this time of year, after having the tykes at home all summer, many parents look forward to morning drop-offs. Not Leah Messer. For Leah the morning drop-off is the ultimate test of parenting competency. Last year, she botched one so badly that she briefly held the title of Most Hated Teen Mom 2 Cast Member. (Fortunately for Leah and the other girls, Jenelle Evans is always quick to regain that title.) You may remember the scene and the social media firestorm that followed it. Leah rushed her girls off to school without feeding them breakfast first, and the young ladies were decidedly (and understandably) not happy about it. To make matters worse, it wasn’t the only time that Leah had trouble getting the kids off to school on time: Leah Messer to Kids: I’ll Get You to School Whenever I Want! In fact, things got so bad, that Leah actually lost custody of her twins to their father, Corey Simms, in large part because of her inability to get them up and ready for class in a timely fashion. It wasn’t until she was able to demonstrate that she is able to get the kids fed, clothed and off to school that Leah was granted custody again . We think it’s safe to say she’s not a morning person. Anyway, it seems that Leah is once again having weekday morning issues. Except this it’s not her kids who are cranky – it’s the other parents. Leah posted the following to Instagram earlier today: As you can see, she’s eager to apologize/clarify herself to a fellow parent who was clearly upset about the presence of a camera crew at their child’s bus stop. “There were NO cameras filming at my girls’ bus stop this morning,” Leah writes. “MTV follows my life and happened to be doing so this morning at my home. “HOWEVER, I personally have more than enough RESPECT for the other children & parents that I knew would be there to make it VERY clear to MTV that no cameras were to be filming at the bus stop.” She concludes: “I hope the person who seemed to be frustrated that the crew was following behind me in a car does see this and knows that my priority is my children, and our school, and my job on TV will never interfere with that. “If you have ANY questions or concerns feel free to contact me directly.” It’s unclear exactly why the offended party believed their child was being filmed, but we can’t help but think that Leah could’ve handled this in a more discrete fashion. Granted, she didn’t mention the person by name, but a kindly worded email or phone call probably would’ve been more effective than Leah addressing a situation regarding privacy in front of her 1 million IG followers. Just a thought. View Slideshow: Leah Messer Bad Parenting Excuse Hall of Fame But hey, at least she’s putting her kids on the bus now! No more long, hungry commutes for Aliannah and Aleeah! Rat Cow is so embarrassing. When she attempts to be sexy, and fun and cute all dancing around for some bullshit video that has zero point, story, dramatic curve, purpose, other than to have a bitch with big tits in motion, not even good motion, keeping a straight face – like it was the 80s and she was at the mall filming a music video at a music video kiosk…or prepping for her Bar Mitzvah video…but far too old for either of those things… It’s like if you’re going to release any videos, make it pornography…not that she needs to do porn, her social media allows her to still and always cash the fuck in – no matter how irrelevant she is…people still follow Emily Ratajkowski and this she can spin it that people actully care… She’s garbage. This is Zero hot. But people with no taste or standards who believe what they are told is hot – still think she’s hot…so here it is.. Daily News Columnist Shaun King Suspended From Facebook For Sharing Hate Mail Twitter Despite all types of requests for receipts and changes in the ways he profits from Black pain, Shaun King is still out here tryna prove he’s down for the people. Unfortunately, this latest attempt didn’t go as planned, according to CBS News . “Every day I get as many — 50 or more sometimes — overtly racist emails. I even get mail now at the New York Daily News office … ‘Silence of the Lambs’ weird stuff,” said King. “Sometimes I’ll take a screen shot of one of these ugly things and post it.” On Friday morning, King took a screen shot of an email he received that used both the f- and n-words, and posted it on Twitter and Facebook saying this is the type of ugliness he gets “every day all day.” A few hours later when he went to Facebook, King says he had been logged out. When he logged back in he got a message saying he had been suspended from posting for 24 hours. “I am constantly harassed on Facebook and Twitter. … I don’t know if these people have been blocked. The policy is not clear to me.” “I accept that Facebook and every other social media platform is trying hard how to monitor and censor the ugliness that goes on,” King said. “If the policy is we don’t allow hate speech and people to be harassed, I say great – delete it. But don’t ban people.” King noted that it was odd that his Facebook post was blocked because the offensive language was in a screen grab, rather than a typed message. Which means, if the censoring was automatic, there would have had to be some sort of visual recognition program to read the words off the image. Poor thang. But wait: Facebook is blocking people from words in pictures now? What part of the game is that? Continue reading →
