Thanksgiving isn’t until next week, but let’s all pause for a moment and give thanks for Sofia Vergara ‘s mom. Not only did she bring Sofia’s heavenly body into the world, she also valiantly defended that body against those who wanted to change it. As Sofia explains in the December issue of Health : “When I moved to America, I was more voluptuous, and I felt a little different…My publicist [at the time] told me, ‘I think you should just reduce your boobs because nobody’s going to take you seriously here.” But Sofia says her mother “almost had a heart attack” when she heard about the plan to cut her daughter’s cantaloupes: “She was like, ‘God is going to punish you! You can’t cut your boobs!…I don’t regret not doing it, because now it’s become a big part of me,” Sofia says.
