The 2nd Annual Tournament of THG: Couples Edition has come to an end. We began with 16 hot pairings, with the simple mission of determining our readers’ favorite celebrity couple on THG. The competition was fierce. Your votes narrowed it down to Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart vs. Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev, who waged an epic championship round battle. The margin was not a runaway, nor was it razor-thin, with the champs taking 61 percent of the 30,000+ votes cast. Which on-screen vampire duo won the title? The Khloe Kardashian pregnant rumor mill may be quiet at the moment, but that isn’t stopping one new reality star from wondering about the potential offspring of this terrible X Factor host. Liza Morales – Lamar Odom’s ex-girlfriend and the mother of his children – has joined the cast of TLC’s Sister Wives Confidential . And on that educational program, Morales says of Odom’s wife: “I don’t know if she’s good maternally.” Ouch! Slam! Sort of! Morales is quick to add that she hasn’t “heard anything negative” about the way Khloe has been around her stepkids, so she’s pretty much just talking about of her rear end. As for similarities between Khloe and Morales? “I’m 100% Puerto Rican. I don’t see it,” Liza said. “We both have dark hair. We both have a cherub face. I don’t think we look alike, but I have heard it.” Kardashian, of course, has other concerns at the moment than what this Sister Wives cast member thinks. New reports claim Odom likes strippers ! This marriage is totally doomed.
The Grammy Awards may feature many top acts on stage next Sunday, but the same can’t be said for the ceremony’s actual ballots. Justin Bieber is not nominated in any category. Neither is Carly Rae Jepsen. Or Nicki Minaj, for that matter. And the American Idol judge thinks she knows why… although she isn’t saying. “I think that the Grammys had a different reason, that I do not want to discuss … and that’s just between me and them,” Minaj said in a recent interview. “But I respect their organization and I’ll get a Grammy eventually. I’m not worried about it.” Minaj was nominated three times last year, including for Best New Artist and Best Rap Album. It’s unclear to what motive she is referring in the quote above, but Nicki insists she’s fine with this supposed snub: “I understand that artists and critics make a big deal over the Grammys. But when I go to my shows and I’m selling out arenas in London, and when I’m in Australia and Japan, there aren’t any Grammys there. There are human beings who I’ve touched. There are human beings who are inspired by me, who I love dearly. And that’s what my career is based on.”
Police say they’ve recovered 18 shells from the scene of the apparent drive-by Rick Ross shooting attempt in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., early Monday. Officials won’t say whether or not Ross, 37, also fired a weapon before or while he crashed in an attempt to evade the bullets fired during the drive-by . While Ross has not made a public statement about the shooting, Pusha T has confirmed that the Miami rapper is doing well and “layin’ back” at home. Good to know. Ross has apparently kept a low profile in the days following the incident, and is supposedly being protected with 24-hour security. A few more details have emerged from the crime scene, including audio of the first 911 call , in which a woman got scared and hung up (with good reason). Clearly, someone fired a lot of bullets Monday morning, but some people on Twitter are skeptical of Ross’ role and whether he was really in danger. In particular, 50 Cent has openly mocked rival Ross, Tweeting, “hahaha fat boy hit the building? lol it looks staged to me. No hole’s in da car.” Ross was unhurt and his Rolls-Royce was undamaged by bullets, at least according to photos, prompting Fiddy to suggest that he staged it. “hahaha that boy was spooked. I ride like OBAMA level 6 built proof, bomb proof, you already know. Nah they shot in the air then he drove into a building.” “Man they miss the whole f–king car were they do that at ? ok it was just firecrackers but who ever lit them in trouble cause the man damn near had a heart attack!” What do you think? Christina Aguilera is a fighter. The Voice coach got choked up during the rehearsals for the 2013 People’s Choice Awards , but soldiered on through an emotional performance Wednesday. Opting for a simple white blazer and black slacks instead of her usually more, um, eclectic wardrobe, Xtina performed “Blank Page” live for the first time. Watch: Christina Aguilera – Blank Page (People’s Choice Awards) The subject matter is heavy for Christina, 32. “She was very emotional,” an insider said. “The song is about making mistakes and realizing you can’t go back but you can start over with a blank slate.” “Christina expresses herself through her songs and this one is particularly emotional … this year is a new beginning for her and she’s excited.” Another source reported that Aguilera was sobbing during rehearsals and even had the audience in tears while rehearsing the moving new song. Fortunately, she came through with flying colors – and earned recognition. Following the song, Josh Duhamel hopped onstage to present her with the “People’s Voice” award, at which point the emotion was even more evident. “Thank you for giving me this form of expression and letting me use my voice,” she said. “It means so much. When I sing I believe it truly is the only time I can truly be myself.” “I find a home in music and I hope others can find a home in music as well.” She’ll always have a home here on THG.
