Ready to meet the next generation of X-Men? Director Bryan Singer revealed on Twitter that Alexandra Shipp, Sophie Turner and Tye Sheridan have all been cast in key roles in X-Men: Apocalypse. They will play … Comprising the director’s trio of ” brilliant young mutants ,” Shipp will play Storm, Turner will play Jean Grey and Sheridan will play Cyclops in the movie. Shipp recently portrayed Aaliyah in the Lifetime TV movie Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B . The 23-year-old also had a recurring role on Days of Our Lives . Turner, 18, is best known for her role as Sansa Stark on Game of Thrones , while Sheridan, also 18, has already put together a nice resume himself. He has acted alongside Sean Penn, Brad Pitt and Jessica Chastain in The Tree of Life , and in Mud with Matthew McConaughey and Reese Witherspoon. X-Men: Apocalypse is expected to hit theaters May 26.
