Will you be watching? VH1′s popular series Love and Hip-Hop Atlanta is preparing for its second season. Rumor has it that rapper Soulja Boy and his girlfriend Diamond will be joining the cast of the hit reaity show. According to a number of reports, the second season of VH1′s ‘Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta’ has already snagged two popular celebrities in the industry. Reportedly, hip-hop couple Soulja Boy (real name DeAndre Cortez Way) and Diamond (real name Brittany Nicole Carpentero) will be the newest cast members of highly popular show. Just to give you a bit of background, Diamond use to date Scrappy (who is now engaged to Erica Dixon) and their relationship ended on a not-so-pleasant note (reportedly, Diamond left Scrappy for Soulja Boy). From what we hear, Diamond was initially cast on the initial season of the show, but she decided not to participate. ..And in that order! Soulja Boy has defended his new girlfriend Diamond against comments made by her ex-boyfriend Lil Scrappy. Soulja, who was accompanied by Diamond to the 2012 BET Awards last weekend, believes that Scrappy was coming at him in the media recently when talking about his failed relationship with the ex-Crime Mob member: “This is my baby, this is my girl, so anything said about her is basically they’re saying it about me,” Soulja told MTV. “I’m backin’ her 100 percent, and we’re just focusing on the positive. Anybody talkin’ about her name on TV, that’s just bringin’ us up more. So salute to them, we wish them the best.” While Scrappy did mention both Diamond and Soulja in a previous interview, he actually wished them the best of luck. Things began to heat up last year when it was revealed that Diamond was dating Soulja Boy. It’s unclear whether she cheated on Scrappy or if her relationship with the Soulja Boy came after, but whatever the case, Scrap feels slighted. Scrappy said he helped Diamond get her rap career on track, putting her needs before his own, and after their breakup, he felt used. Plus, with the news Scrappy’s mom, Mama Dee reportedly ran Diamond off the filming of Love & Hip Hop ATL as well as talking about her “hygiene issues” on the show, we’re sure her presence is not missed.
