After doing considerable damage to her empire, the racial and sexual discrimination lawsuit against Paula Deen has now been formally dismissed. It is believed that a confidential settlement was reached. In any case, the suit by Lisa Jackson – which blew up against Deen when she admitted using racial slurs in a deposition, which leaked to the media – is no longer. Jackson, who worked as General Manager at Uncle Bubba’s Seafood and Oyster House in Georgia, filed a lawsuit claiming racial and sexual harassment. The racial discrimination claim was dismissed by a judge earlier this month because Lisa, who is white, was deemed an “accidental victim” at best. Deen denied any racial discrimination at work or toward Jackson or other employees; her admission of racial slurs pertained to using them in the past. The exact context of the slurs she used is not known, nor is the source of the deposition’s leak, which caused the dominoes to fall fast and hard for Deen. Paula Deen Lawsuit Claim Thrown Out Now the entirety of Jackson’s lawsuit has been dismissed, and while TMZ reports that all signs point to a settlement , any terms appear to be confidential. The deposition video has been blocked by court order and will never be released, so the matter is officially closed, albeit still tinged with controversy. Long story short: any racial slurs made by Deen , or comments that she and her cohorts may or may not have made, were deemed of no consequence. Discrimination of a sexual nature was also disputed by Paula, though we’ll never know how it would have played out, given the apparent settlement. Regardless, it’s rather ironic that Deen’s career took a MASSIVE hit because of a leaked deposition, and not anything alleged in the actual lawsuit.

The occasion marked the first time she has been seen in public since the suicide bid, when she had cropped brown hair and a distinct gothic look. Those real-life interactions are the extent of her social life these days. And the school agrees. “There are three levels of privileges at the school,” the source explained. “Because Paris has only been there for a brief period, she is still on ‘daily’, meaning that she has to earn her privileges through a point count system for such things as good behavior, doing your homework, punctuality. “Those privileges are television time, internet, access to the phone, socializing with girls from the other homes on campus. As a result, Paris’ access to social media is limited.” “Like every school, this venue has a curriculum that students undertake,” the insider said. “The students also undergo group therapy and one-on-one sessions with therapists each day.” Added the source: “She has been doing very well. Late last night, Nas started collecting funds for a single father of 8, Stanley Young, in D.C. whose house was destroyed in a fire In the past few hours, Nas rallied 400+ people to pledge $29K+ in a viral fundraiser to save Young’s family. Stanley Young is an unemployed construction worker and single father. Two weeks ago, a fire destroyed his home. His family is stuck in a hotel, but time is running out. They will be kicked out by August 13. Nas wrote to his fans on social media: I am also a single father, and we don’t get enough credit in this country. According to a source who attended rehab with Lindsay, 27, the Mean Girls actress arrived to Cliffside just after Chaka and was immediately disruptive to everybody in the program and when Chaka tried to set her on the straight and narrow, the conversation ended in a complete blowout. “Chaka was really cool about everything at Cliffside, but Lindsay just pushed all of her buttons to the point where she was aggravated and tired of Lindsay’s sh*t,” the former patient told Radar in an exclusive interview. “Lindsay was just doing stupid stuff for attention, so Chaka told her she was childish and told her to grow up. She never lost it, but started yelling at Lindsay. Told her to knock it off, asking her if she came to rehab to get well, or just to piss around.” Things got so heated between the two that the source tells Radar 60-year-old Chaka eventually had it with Lindsay, telling several of the patients she “hated” Lindsay. “Chaka was so annoyed with Lindsay. It got so bad that she refused to get in the same car with her or go to the same meetings with Lindsay,: the source said. “So Cliffside had to change everything up schedule wise so the two were never together.” Chaka — who has admittedly struggled with drug abuse and alcoholism in the past, spending several stints in rehab centers — left Cliffside a week early because she couldn’t stand Lindsay, the source claims. “Chaka told me she was leaving early because she couldn’t stand Lindsay,” the source told Radar. “Lindsay caused such an uproar that administration basically said to the patients, ‘If you can’t take it and you want to leave, leave.’ The next day a guy that had already left because of Lindsay came back and helped Chaka with her bags and stuff and took her from Cliffside.” Siding with Chaka, the source said they feel bad Lindsay drove so many away from the treatment center. “Chaka’s a strong woman and her time at Cliffside did help her get a lot better. She’s a positive lady and quite interesting, in a good way,” the source told Radar. “She just needed the strength and at the end of the day she got what she was looking for.” Calls to Chaka’s rep for comment went unreturned.
