Miley Cyrus on Family Life: All Good!

Before Miley Cyrus embarks on her Gypsy Heart Tour on April 27, she has a message for fans and followers: “My family is good.” The singer made this statement to The Associated Press, clearing up months of rumors and controversy, most of it centered on her parents’ split, subsequent reconciliation and the scandalous comments her father made in between. Heading to South America in a couple weeks, Cyrus said “you have to make sure everyone is happy before you start traveling.” And it sounds like they are. But is there a problem between Miley and her U.S. fans? Asked why she isn’t playing any concerts in the States, the artist made an interesting comment: “I just think right now America has gotten to a place where I don’t know if they want me to tour or not. I just want to go to the places where I am getting the most love, and Australia and South America have done that for me.” Ouch. Is Miley breaking up with her American fan base? Or has it already split with her?

Elsewhere In The World: Khloe Kardashian-Odom Is A Middle Eastern Pioneer

Khloe Kardashian can officially add another major first to her name, in addition to being Kris Jenner’s first married child. And this first is a much greater accomplishment than marrying a Laker, if you ask us. Khloe is the first cover girl for the brand new Cosmopolitan Middle East. Yes, the same Cosmo that runs pieces like “A Girl’s Guide to Oral Sex” and the “How to Score the Big O Everytime” has a Middle Eastern edition. We’re pretty sure their Middle Eastern readers won’t be getting the type of advice Cosmo doles out here in the U.S. or the freaky sh*t they probably cover in their French and British editions. Considering that one is an unwed mom and the other is best known for her hoe sh*t, we probably won’t ever see Kourtney or Kim on Cosmo MidEast… So enjoy Khloe’s interview. Which is actually pretty good. No, really/

Kush Chronic-les: NYPD Makes $10 Million Dollar Mary Jane Bust

That’s a pretty big growing operation considering that they were in New York. The NYPD helped seize $10 million worth of pot plants from upstate hydroponic farms and arrest more than a dozen people. A strike force of federal agents, city cops and Sullivan County police swooped down on five homes two hours north of Manhattan. Officials said the ring distributed the pot mostly in New York City, but dealt as far away as Philadelphia. Each plant produced a pound of pot worth anywhere from $600 to $1,200 on the street. Sixteen people, including 14 undocumented immigrants from South America, were arrested on federal drug charges during the sweep by the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Strike Force. The suspects were awaiting arraignment in U.S. District Court in White Plains on Wednesday. Authorities were tipped off while a detective from the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office and Drug Enforcement Administration agents were checking out suspected drug locations. They investigated a car parked outside one of the locations – and immediately smelled marijuana. “The odor was pungent,” said a law enforcement source. “It was so strong there was no mistake.” After interviewing the men inside the car, agents armed with federal search warrants hit five locations in Mamakating, Lumberland and Highland townships. Man those undocumented workers from South America probably had that bomb batch of chronic! Source

Joe Jonas, Ashley Greene Break Up

Reps for the music and ‘Twilight’ stars confirm the split. By Jocelyn Vena Ashley Greene and Joe Jonas Photo: Kent Phillips/ Getty Images It’s official. Joe Jonas and Ashley Greene are no longer a couple. After rumors of their split hit the Internet early Thursday (March 17), the stars’ reps confirmed the breakup to People.com . The couple began seeing each other last summer. A source told the website that Jonas was “head over heels” for the “Twilight” star at the beginning of their relationship. The pair was regularly seen holding hands and getting cozy on dates, despite their two very busy schedules. He’s currently working on a solo album after touring through much of last year with his brothers, Nick and Kevin, and she’s busy filming “Breaking Dawn.” The news of the split comes one day after Jonas’ interview with Details magazine, in which he gushed over the actress, hit the Web. “It feels good. I think what works about it is she really puts my feelings first. She understands my busy schedule,” he told the magazine. “She’ll fly out to my shows — she’s been to places in South America that I can’t even pronounce.” Earlier this year, Greene opened up to Teen Vogue about her then-beau, sharing some insights into what their relationship was like. “We met through mutual friends in London, which is crazy because we both live in L.A,” she said. “And we’ve already met each other’s parents, which I think is a good result of the kind of lifestyle we live. He’s sweet and really funny, which is huge for me. We have a traveling relationship.” It seems though that all that traveling eventually made it hard for the pair to maintain their relationship. The New York Post reported that their busy work schedules contributed to the split, and that “it was mutual and amicable,” according to a source. Related Artists Jonas Brothers

Diddy Doesn’t Get ‘Caught Up’ In Forbes Hip-Hop List

‘People think that I have that money actually sitting at home in the basement,’ Diddy tells MTV News of topping ‘wealthiest in hip-hop’ list. By D.L. Chandler Diddy Dirty-Money Photo: MTV News Everything Diddy touches turns to gold — or millions, in this case. The mogul with the Midas touch has topped yet another list — but it isn’t due to record sales for his new group Diddy-Dirty Money. Sean Combs tops Forbes ‘ list of the wealthiest hip-hop entertainers , with his $475 million besting Roc Nation mogul Jay-Z by a mere $25 million. Diddy spoke with MTV News about his inclusion on the list, flanked by his Dirty Money beauties, Dawn Richard and Kalenna Harper. “To be honest, on that list, I was on the cover of Forbes back in ’98,” Diddy said. “I been on that list. I don’t really get caught up into the list. I think people think that I have that money actually sitting at home in the basement.” The figure, according to Forbes, includes current holdings and past earnings from public financial documents. Diddy confirmed that by humbly stating that, in order to have that manner of cash on hand, he would need to sell off all his companies and assets, something he takes great pride in. “It’s really like if I sold all my companies, and I take pride in [building] something as a black man that’s worth that much,” Diddy said, but he added a warning with a laugh: “To everyone calling me for a loan today, I do not have that money today!” Diddy and Jay are definitely not at war over the top spot on Forbes ‘ list. In fact, Diddy hopes people are motivated by their success. “It helps inspire people and it shows the power of hip hop,” Diddy said. Dr. Dre, 50 Cent and Birdman round out the top five. Foo Fighters Fans Are ‘People Who Dig Rock Music,’ Dave Grohl Says

‘There’s not one particular demographic,’ he tells MTV News during their ‘MTV First’ premiere of ‘Rope.’ By Vaughn Schoonmaker, with reporting by James Montgomery Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl Photo: MTV News The Foo Fighters came to one lucky fan’s house Thursday for “MTV First,” where they premiered their “Rope” video and answered questions submitted on Twitter and in person. When MTV News’ James Montgomery asked the band about their fanbase, lead singer Dave Grohl described the diversity of those who fill up stadiums when the band is on tour. “There’s not one particular demographic. It’s just people who dig rock music,” Dave noted. “When we play gigs, it’s a trip to stand there and look at the audience, because there’ll be kids, like 5- or 6-year-old kids, and then there’ll be like full-on mustache dads. And then there’ll be like crazy MILF drunk mamas.” The Foo Fighters certainly treasure their fans, both new and vintage. “We still get new fans and then we still have some that saw Nirvana. So to me it’s really awesome, because we wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for our fans.” As far as what the average Foo Fighters fan may be like, there’s certainly a lack of paparazzi stampedes and screaming teenagers. “I think we have a cool relationship with [our fans],” Dave smiled. “Like when people see us, they don’t go, ‘Oh my God! It’s the Foos!’ They’ll just be like, ‘Hey, Dave, what’s up?’ and I’m like, ‘Do I know that guy?’ So I never say, ‘It’s nice to meet you.’ I always say, ‘It’s nice to see you.’ ” Dave also spoke of his recent discovery of a vast and enthusiastic population of Foos fans in South America, when he joined Twitter. “One of the first things I noticed when I first tweeted is that like 98 percent of the people on Twitter live in Argentina and Brazil,” Dave said. “I [tweeted] a picture of the tape machines, and 50 percent of the responses were like, ‘Come to Argentina!’ ‘Come to Brazil!’ ‘Come to Chile!’ ” The South American fans have already made quite an impression on the Foo Fighters. As Dave recalled, “We had this one knob on the mixing deck that we made the ‘grunge’ knob, so we turned it up to 11 and took a picture of it, and someone from Argentina wrote, ‘Never too grungy!’ And so that became this catchphrase that we use.” Do you count yourself among the Foo Fighters’ eclectic fanbase?
