Source: Antonio Garcia / EyeEm / Getty On Monday, a hog farmer in Iowa was found guilty for the murder of his wife , who died in November 2018 after being impaled with a corn rake. According to reports from The Telegraph Herald , a jury in Dubuque County convicted 43-year-old Todd Mullis of first-degree murder in the death of his wife Amy Mullis. The conviction carries a mandatory sentence of life in prison without parole. This conviction comes almost a year after Amy was found on the couple’s farm with the tool lodged in her back. Police said back in March that Amy’s death came not long after Todd learned that she had multiple affairs behind his back. She had apparently warned people beforehand that if her husband caught ever her cheating, “he might make me disappear.” She also was said to have told a friend that if she ever vanished, “you’ll know Todd did something to me.” Well, she was right. Email Submit Todd insisted to authorities that his wife simply fell on the sharp tool while by herself, but medical examiners found six puncture wounds and noted the rake was four-pronged. During the trial, Dr. Kelly Kruse–the forensic pathologist who performed the autopsy on Amy’s body–testified Amy’s cause of death was sharp-force injuries of the torso, saying that Amy was impaled at least twice and possibly three times by the corn rake. Back in March, it was reported that Todd called 911 the day his wife died. He told police that he removed the rake and started driving his wife to the hospital, which is when they were met by an ambulance who rushed Amy to the emergency room. That is where she was declared dead. Text “RICKEY” to 71007 to join the Rickey Smiley Morning Show mobile club for exclusive news. ( Terms and conditions ). Amy and Todd were married in 2004, and had three children together. Police learned during their investigation that the couple’s marital problems began in 2013, when Todd caught Amy cheating. Even though Todd continued to tell detectives the relationship was fine, police eventually learned a second lover was discovered last summer. That second lover, Jerry Frasher, testified in trial, and told police that Amy had said she wanted to leave her husband but was “scared to death” of him. Defense attorney Gerald Feuerhelm told The Telegraph Herald Todd would appeal the court’s ruling. Source: Photo: WENN.com Dame Dash is pleading with the legal system to give him a break. The cake-a-holic is citing that he has fulfilled his parental obligations to his ex-wife. TMZ is reporting that the Harlem native is requesting the courts take him off a child support agreement that he has been legally bounded too since filing for divorce in 2009. His most recent filing claims he should no longer have to pay $6,000 a month for both of his daughters with fashion designer Rachel Roy . His oldest daughter Ava is now 19 and California law stipulates that the court order shall last until the child is 18 barring they are no longer a high school student. In additional Dash claims he isn’t balling out like he used to. According to the paperwork he only made a little bit over $58,000 in 2018 and that Roy should be funding the kids’ day to day activities as she reportedly makes $500,000 a year and lives a very cozy life with regular trips to Europe. He is also asking the judge that he be refunded the payments made after Ava turned 19. The ex couple have had a very turbulent relationship since divorcing. In 2015 Rachel accused him of domestic assault. He would later claim that she mismanaged the Rachel Roy Clothing brand via a $2.5 million lawsuit. Photo: Tasos Katopodis/Getty Images for WE TV

Last month, Kathryn Dennis and Thomas Ravenel wrapped up their custody war with more or less of a draw. That may change, however, and not just because of Thomas’ guilty plea to assault and battery. Kathryn has new evidence that the court may want to consider, starting with a video of Thomas doing drugs. According to court documents obtained by The Daily Mail , Thomas Ravenel may be in hot water with Charleston family court. In a new video submitted to the court, he appears to be taking hallucinogenic mushrooms at a party. “I’ve never tried this in my life,” Thomas says in the reported video. He takes out a baggie, filled with what are implied to be psychotropic fungi. “Just one,” he then says. “Just one.” “You’re gonna do that right now?” a woman’s incredulous voice can be heard saying. “Thomas, no!” the wise voice admonishes. “No, you’re, like, gonna geek out right now!” If one were to partake in hallucinogens, particularly those they have never taken before, they would want to do so with a sober babysitter to make sure that they do not have a bad reaction. Experimenting with drugs in a crowd can be … dangerous. Even if you don’t have a health crisis, you might strip off your clothes or soil yourself. “I wouldn’t want to do it,” the woman advises him. “I don’t want to hallucinate.” As someone who once had an allergic reaction that plagued him with days of hallucinations, I’d have to agree. Thomas, however, sounded indifferent over the potential use of the alleged substance during the video. “It’s just mushrooms,” he tells the woman dismissively. Interestingly, this is not the first time that Thomas and “magic mushrooms” have come up recently. In an affidavit, Thomas was accused of having advised a friend that said fungus, despite its properties, will not show up in urine tests. Kathryn was clearly concerned that Thomas might find ways to bypass court-ordered urine tests designed to keep Kensie and Saint safe. Kathryn’s affidavit also accused Thomas of having sent her a video in which he calls his child by the wrong name and slurs his words. The implication is that he must have been under the influence, in defiance of court orders. “The time that we had a pool party,” Kathryn recalls of their personal history. “And,” she narrates. “Thomas was so drunk while holding Kensie that he fell into the pool with her as a baby.” Kathryn continues: “and I had to jump in to grab Kensie:” She also cites “the Christmas where Thomas flew into a range [sic] and threw the Christmas tree that I had decorated across the room.” “The time he put my fake fur coat in a tub full of water…” Kathryn recalls. She makes reference to “the time he threw a lamp at me and glass shattered everywhere;” “And,” Kathryn’s written recollection mentions. “The time he threw an astray [sic] in my face.” These are horrifying accusations, and it seems that Kathryn wishes to connect Thomas’ alleged drug use with his abhorrent behavior. There is another disgusting incident mentioned in court documents. “And the time …when he masturbated on my back while I was asleep,” Kathryn writes. She says that he did this “because he was mad at me for rejecting his advances for sex (because I was exhausted and pregnant).” “I also discovered that he had been watching muscleman porn that night,” she concludes. For the record, I don’t know exactly what muscleman porn is even after looking it up (yes, I put that in my search history; I’m so brave). The important part of that accusation is ejaculating upon someone without her consent in order to feel in control and powerful. Kathryn is concerned that Thomas is up to his old tricks and violating the custody terms. Will the court agree? View Slideshow: Kathryn Dennis: I Can PROVE Thomas Ravenel is an Unstable Liar!
A tlanta native Chelesa Fearce is living proof that you can rise above your circumstances and overcome the odds. Despite battling homelessness throughout her high school years, she went on to be named valedictorian of her class, graduated from Spelman College and is now a student at Yale University, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported. Chelesa Fearce was homeless in high school. Now she'll be pursuing a medical degree and PhD at Yale University https://t.co/M0ODG4XT0p #10TV — 10TV.com (@10TV) September 12, 2019 Fearce, 23, is currently pursuing her MD–PhD degree at the Yale School of Medicine; a major step towards her goal of launching a career in psychiatry. Fearce’s journey to the prestigious Ivy League school was no easy feat. While attending Charles R. Drew High School in Riverdale, Georgia she and her family were homeless. She would often go without food and would use the stove lights at motels for her studying sessions. Despite living in those conditions, she earned a 4.5 grade point average and was named valedictorian of her class in 2013. Her academic accomplishments garnered her a full scholarship to Spelman College. After graduating from the historically Black college with a degree in biochemistry, she went on to work for a national health agency and started the next step in her academic journey at Yale last month. Fearce says her experience with homelessness instilled values that she has taken with her throughout every stage of her life. “Homelessness taught me how to work hard, always persevere and never let anything get in my way,” she told the news outlet. “It really helped show my resilience when I applied for college and medical school.” Fearce and her family have been dedicated to paying it forward and helping those in need. There was a scholarship named in her honor for homeless students determined to further their education. Her mother Reenita Shepherd has become the foster parent of four children and is currently serving as a caretaker for a former homeless shelter director. Source: Rodin Eckenroth / Getty Will & Jada Were Worried Jaden Smith Was Wasting Away On His Vegan Diet Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith became really worried about their son Jaden’s diet when he tried going vegan at one point. The couple expressed this concern on Monday’s episode of Red Table Talk , where the entire Smith family sat down and discussed their relationships with food. This all happened after Will called an “emergency” meeting with them, along with Willow, Trey, and Adrienne Banfield-Jones. The family all ended up admitting that their relationship with food wasn’t the healthiest. The conversation began with Will opening up about gaining weight on a recent vacation and being deemed “Pudgemuffin” by the women in his family, saying that for him, eating food is “like an addict.” On the other hand, Jada and Jaden are the exact opposite. Both of them said that they would rather not eat than snack throughout the day, calling it “uncomfortable.” That’s when Will and Jada discussed the intervention they had for their son. “Will and I had a bit of an intervention with Jaden because he’s a vegan now, but we realized he wasn’t getting enough protein,” Jada explained. “So he was wasting away. He just looked drained, he was just depleted, he wasn’t getting the nutrients.” Will also said that Jaden had “dark circles” under his eyes. “There was even a little grayness to his skin,” Will continued. “We got really nervous. But you’re definitely looking better now.” Jaden went on to clarify that he’s now vegetarian after trying to be vegan, then went on to further explain his eating habits. “I was just eating like two meals a day…maybe one. Maybe just that one big meal and I’m like, ‘Oh, you know, I didn’t get around to it.’” Check out the entire episode of Red Table Talk with the Smith family down below:
