Kylie Jenner Throws Apparent Shade at Bella Hadid, Supports Team The Weeknd

As far as we can tell, no one has asked Kylie Jenner for her opinion on the ongoing Selena Gomez vs. Bella Hadid feud. But the reality star has seemingly gone ahead and weighed in anyway. Last week, of course, Selena was spotted on a date with The Weeknd , kissing the singer and cozying up to him on the sidewalk outside of a restaurant in Los Angeles. A source told E! News that Gomez and The Weeknd dined at Giorgio Baldi for three hours, sitting in a back room with a private server. “They came out and they were so happy,” an onlooker told Us Weekly of the artists that evening, adding: “They were hugging and kissing. … Selena was all over him, hugging, kissing [him]. She looked amazing and so incredibly happy and in love.” There was also talk that Selena and her new man went back to her place after dinner for a bit of dessert. (If you know what we mean!) Shortly after news and photos from this date went viral, the true controversy began. First, Bella Hadid unfollowed Gomez on Instagram, seemingly angry that her pal was now dating her serious ex-boyfriend. Selena Gomez: Check Out My Thong! Then, an insider close to the situation told TMZ that Gomez has been seeing The Weeknd for a few months now, not even bothering to tell Hadid about the relationship. This source alleges that Hadid only found out about the romance via the Internet, claiming that Selena basically stabbed the model in the back and explaining: “Giving Bella and Gigi a heads up would have been the respectful and honorable thing to do. But I guess that’s just Hollywood.” Ouch . Gomez has not said anything about her scandalous relationship, and neither has Hadid. At least not verbally. Just a few days ago, however, Bella shared a photo on Instagram of her back to the camera, her middle finger extended in the air. She didn’t include a caption with the image, but most followers didn’t need Hadid to elaborate. They very much understood her point. So… what does any of this have to do with Kylie Jenner? On Tuesday night, Kylie was spotted with The Weeknd and Tyga at the Italian restaurant Carbone in New York City. Witnesses say the trio was having a grand time together. From there, Kylie went home and decided to sing a song to her fans on Snapchat. And what song did she choose to sing? “True Colors” by none other than… The Weeknd! Might Jenner simply be a fan of this track? Absolutely. But you have to admit: the timing is very interesting. So is the song choice even. Is Kylie telling Bella that her “true colors” are finally showing through? That she ought to shut up and move on because she isn’t dating The Weeknd any longer and the guy is free to bang whomever he pleases? We don’t know. We’re just speculating here. But Selena is supposedly very serious about her famous new boyfriend. She doesn’t see this as just another fling. Kylie Jenner Sings “True Colors” Perhaps Kylie can relate because she’s so smitten with Tyga and because that relationship also got underway amid contention and controversy. It’s hard to say for certain. It’s just pretty clear at this point that Jenner might as well be holding up some pom-poms in the above video. She is cheering on Team The Weeknd.

Donald Trump Accused of Plagiarizing Bane: Watch the Speeches!

We already know that an aversion to the truth runs in the Trump family. But do Donald Trump and Melania Trump also share an affection for plagiarization? Back in July, the First Lady stole parts of her Republican National Convention speech from Michelle Obama… and now some folks are wondering whether not Trump also relied on another source for this afternoon’s inauguration address. Specifically, they’re wondering if Trump was strongly influenced by iconic DC Comic villain Bane. You remember Bane, don’t you? Played by Tom Hardy in The Dark Knight Rises, he caused many problems for Batman, stirring up anarchy throughout Gotham City as he encouraged the people to rise up against their oppressors. He basically vowed to Make Gotham Great Again in his own, unique, controversial way. Sound familiar? It’s about to sound a lot more familiar. Consider the following passage from Trump’s inaugural address : Today’s ceremony, however has very special meaning. Because today, we are not merely transferring power from one administration to another or from one party to another. But we are transferring power from Washington D.C. and giving it back to you… the people. For too long a small group in our nation’s capital has reaped the rewards of government while the people have born the cost. Washington flourished but the people did not share in its wealth. Politicians prospered but the jobs left and the factories closed. The establishment protected itself but not the citizens of our country. Their victories have not been your victories. Their triumphs have not been your triumphs and while they celebrated in our nation’s capital, there was little to celebrate for struggling families all across our land. That all changes starting right here and right now because this moment is your moment. It belongs to you. WATCH THE FULL SPEECH BELOW: Donald Trump Inauguration Speech Okay? Got it? We’re not here to judge the address. We’re here to marvel over its similarities to what Bane said on the steps of a government building in The Dark Knight Rises. Consider: We take Gotham from the corrupt! The rich! The oppressors of generations who have kept you down with myths of opportunity, and we give it back to you… the people. Gotham is yours. None shall interfere. Do as you please. Start by storming Blackgate, and freeing the oppressed! Step forward those who would serve. For and army will be raised. The powerful will be ripped from their decadent nests, and cast out into the cold world that we know and endure. Courts will be convened. Spoils will be enjoyed. Blood will be shed. The police will survive, as they learn to serve true justice. This great city… it will endure. Gotham will survive! WATCH THE FULL SPEECH BELOW: Bane Encourages Uprising in The Dark Knight Rises We aren’t the only site that took note of this comparison. Entertainment Weekly and Jezebel were on it right away, as well. And while the idea of a wannabe Bane being in charge of our nuclear arsenal very scary, let’s remember the title of the film from which we took the above clip: The Dark Knight Rises. So that’s the question, people. That’s the reason to have hope. What hero will rise over the next four years and lead this country to a less Baneful place? Kanye West Not Asked to Perform at Trump’s Inauguration Because He’s Black?!

Don’t look now, but Donald Trump may have another scandal on his hands. A big one. A bad one. A racist one. OK, to set the stage for this latest monstrosity, let’s remember that Kanye West has been vocal about his support for Donald Trump these past few months. In a concert shortly after the election, Kanye revealed that while he skipped out on voting this time around, if he had voted, he would have voted for Trump . Then in December, Kanye met with Trump in New York for … reasons. We really don’t want to speculate too much on what could have gone down between those two. Afterwards, they posed for photos, and Trump claimed that he and Kanye have “been friends for a long time.” Kanye later tweeted a photo of a gift that Trump had given him : a copy of the Time’s Person of the Year issue featuring Trump that he’d signed “To Kanye: you are a great friend.” Now that all that nonsense is fresh in your mind, let’s also remember that poor Donald had a hell of a time finding artists to perform for his inauguration . Eventually he managed to book 3 Doors Down and Toby Keith, along with a few other acts. There’d been some speculation that he could have gotten Kanye to perform, since they’re besties and all, and since Kanye is one of the very few notable artists willing to publicly support him. But now, the chair of the Presidential Inaugural Committee, Tom Barrack, is explaining the issue with Kanye performing for Trump. And it is going to get ugly in here. Good ol’ Tom says that while Kanye has “been great,” and while “he considers himself a friend of the President-elect,” it’s imply “not the venue” for the rapper. And that’s because “It’s going to be typically and traditionally American.” If you deduced that Kanye wasn’t asked to perform because he’s black, well, you’re not alone on your assumptions. Over on Twitter, people are ripping this statement apart. “What’s traditionally American?” one person asked. “WHITE?” “This guy isn’t even aware of how racist he sounds,” another commented. One Twitter user pointed out that “Rap/hip hop is American music. ‘Traditionally American’ is code for not ethnic/black/urban,” and another asked “Uh, you guys know which country invented hip hop?” “That’s a scary level of racism right there,” someone stated. “And you can tell he doesn’t think it’s racist.” In closing, one more Twitterer said “In other words, they don’t want ya black as there lmao!” And honestly, is there any other way to interpret that statement? Because if there is, we’re having trouble coming up with it. Dark times ahead, everyone. Look out. View Slideshow: 14 Stars Donald Trump Thinks Are YUUGELY Overrated

Meryl Streep: Is She Overrated?

Meryl Streep did not win a Golden Globe Award for her performance in Florence Foster Jenkins on Sunday night. And yet the veteran actress still managed to make the most memorable speech of the night. By a long shot. As you very likely heard by now, Streep accepted the Cecil B. DeMille during the ceremony, using her platform to call out Donald Trump for his frequent bullying and his disrespectful behavior. (Technically, Streep did not actually call Trump out; she never uttered his name.) After giving props to Hollywood for its diversity, and making a crack about how Trump wants to “kick out” foreigners, Streep arrived at the crux of her speech. She focused on the time in 2015 when Trump mocked a disabled reporter named Serge F. Kovaleski and told the crowd: “This instinct to humiliate when it’s modeled by someone in the public platform by someone powerful, it filters down into everybody’s life because it kind of gives permission for other people to do the same thing…  “Disrespect invites disrespect. Violence incites violence.” Streep was given a rousing ovation by all in attendance, with many in Hollywood jumping on Twitter to sing her praises.   Meryl Streep Attacks Donald Trump at Golden Globes (And Trump Responds!) “We will need a lot of people as clear and brave as Meryl Streep if we are to fight the corruption, bad ideas and lies of Donald Trump,” wrote Judd Apatow. “The definition of class,” wrote Diane Kruger. But Trump had a different viewpoint, as you might expect. Aside from pointing out that Streep was a Hillary Clinton “lover” and a “liberal movie [person],” Trump went on to slam the star as “overrated,” a distinction he has previously used for Megyn Kelly, Jon Stewart and the Broadway production Hamilton. Streep, of course, has been nominated for 19 Academy Awards over the course of her career. But she’s only won three times. Overall, Streep has been up for 335 awards, yet has only taken home 164 trophies. That means she wins fewer than half of the times she’s nominated. And people want to call her The Greatest Actress of Her Generation?!? Some might say that these numbers lend credence to Trump’s argument. Other people (named Rachel Dratch) may say “anyone who calls #Meryl “overrated” is unfit to serve.” Streep’s resume is suddenly a topic of conversation over the Internet… and we want you hear from YOU! Are you on Team Meryl? Or Team Trump? Do you think Streep should have used the Golden Globe Awards stage as a soapbox? Or should she have just stuck to entertainment? And, most urgently, do you think Meryl Streep is overrated? WEIGH IN NOW: YES, finally someone said it! No, she’s, like, a goddess! Who is Meryl Streep? View Poll »

Congrats! Viola Davis Claims Her Star On The Hollywood Walk of Fame

Looks like Denzel might be onto something … Viola Davis Granted Star On Hollywood Walk Of Fame Viola Davis just scored the first star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame of 2017. The actress accepted her honor earlier this afternoon in LA. According to USA Today , even though Viola planned to keep her cool and be straightforward with her speech, she got emotional while thinking of all that brought her up to that moment. “Only thing I could think about is my dad. I wish he were here. He died in 2006 and, um, he would think this is pretty fantastic.” Viola was joined at the ceremony by her husband, actor Julius Tennon and daughter, Genesis Tennon, as Meryl Streep introduced and presented the actress with her honor. Viola went on to reflect on her upbringing in Central Falls, R.I. and how blessed she is to have come so far. “The only picture I have of myself as a kid in kindergarten is with a little … sucker and an expression that’s not really a smile, not really a frown, just something. But every time I look at the little girl, I always thought, ‘Oh, that’s a cute outfit but she was always hungry, she was always shy, she was always kind of in the background, but inside she had big dreams bursting.’ And the only thing I could think about is that saying, ‘What the caterpillar calls the end of the world, the master calls the butterfly.’ I cannot believe my life right now…that Meryl Streep spoke at my Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony with my handsome husband and a beautiful daughter and my family and my representatives…all I can say is, ‘God has blessed my life in abundance.’” Congratulations to Viola! Hit the flip for more…

Madonna: Marry Me (Again), Sean Penn!

Look, Madonna is a remarkably embarrassing human being, she just is. She’s also a legend, sure, but that doesn’t give her a pass. A lot of people think this is some age discrimination , like “what, Madonna is 58 years old so she can’t be sexy and have fun anymore?” And that’s absolutely not the case. No, if any person, no matter if they were 1 or 100 or any age in between, behaved the way Madonna behaves , it would be an honest-to-goodness shame, it really would. It’s just that she’s so very, very desperate for attention . Like she can’t handle the fact that perhaps her popularity isn’t what it used to be, and she has to do stunt after stunt to just get a little bit more of the spotlight. Come on, why else would she rock as many grills as she does ? And why else would she act like as hot a mess as she did last night? Yep, buckle up, friends, because we’ve got a wild and wacky Madonna story to share with you right the hell now. See, last night, Madonna hosted a charity gala for Malawi, the African nation where her 11-year-old son, David, was born. She managed to raise over $7.5 million, which is amazing, it really is. But boy, did she pull some ridiculous sh-t along the way. Because Madonna’s ex-husband, Sean Penn, was there too, right? The two got married in 1985, but they stayed together for just four years before they got divorced. There have been persistent rumors for years that he was majorly abusive to her, but she’s denied those rumors, and she’s even made it clear that she still has strong feelings for him . Back in January, they did another charity gala together, and Madonna gave a speech all about how amazing she thinks Sean is. During the speech, she got all gushy, telling him “I want to say that, Sean, I love you. From the moment that I laid eyes on you. And I still love you, just the same.” And, well, last night she took things a step further. “I’m still in love with you,” she told Sean. And then, just when you thought things couldn’t get any more romantic and/or creepy, she said that she would marry him again, right then and there — if he bid $150,000 on a piece of jewelry. And he did . We’re not sure about whether or not they’ve gotten hitched yet, but someone did have the presence of mind to play a wedding march. Sean hopped on stage, crawled between Madonna’s legs, and then handcuffed her. Why? We may never know. But, hilariously enough, Madonna did joke while Sean was handcuffing her that “For once, he’s not the one being arrested.” Oh, Madonna, you’re in love with a criminal! How sweet! Best of wishes to this former, maybe present couple, we guess. View Slideshow: 10 Controversial Photos of Madonna

Gigi Hadid Defends Melania Trump Impression, Doesn’t Really Apologize

Gigi Hadid has basically one thing to say when it comes to her controversial impression of Melania Trump at the 2016 American Music Awards on Sunday night. And that is this: Sorry… NOT Sorry! As co-host of the aforementioned event, Hadid chose to impersonate the soon-to-be First Lady of the United States as part of the opening monologue this weekend. She told fellow host Jay Pharoah that she had to work on her “Melania” face first and then broke out an accept meant to mimic Trump, who was born in Slovenia. “I love my husband, President Barack Obama. And our children, Sasha and Malia,” Hadid said as Melania, making a reference to Trump’s Republican National Convention speech. As admitted by someone on Trump’s staff, the speech was partly plagiarized from Michelle Obama and the speech she gave at the Democratic National Convention in 2008. So…. ummm… get it?!? Gigi was joking about something that happened four months earlier and which was discussed heavily at the time. It was very old news. In other words: the impression here was tired, lame and unoriginal, regardless of whether or not you found it funny. Check out the impersonation for yourself here: Gigi Hadid SLAMMED as Racist Over AMA Melania Trump Impression Of course, very few viewers did find it funny. Many found it offensive. Gigi was mocking someone for simply having an accent and also mocking someone who is stuck being married to Donald Trump (hasn’t she therefore been through enough?!?). After receiving backlash on social media, Hadid addressed the incident with a handwritten note. It reads as follows: “I was honored to host the AMA’s last night and to work with some of the most respected writers in the business. “I removed or changed anything in the script that I felt took the joke too far, and whether or not you choose to see it, what remained was done in good humor and with no bad intent. “I too have been the center of a nationally televised comedy skit that poked fun at my actions, and was able to find the humor in it. I believe Melania understands show business and the way shows are written and run. “I apologize to anyone that I offended and have only the best wishes for your country.” This is pretty rich. It’s one of our favorite non-apologies in celebrity history! FIRST, Gigi throws her writers under the bus. SECOND, she says that she should receive credit for cleaning up their insults. THIRD, she pats herself on the back for having thick skin and a sense of humor. FOURTH, she pretends to have any clue about what Melania Trump things. FIFTH, she apologizes… but only if you were offended. Which is her way of saying it’s really your fault for having such sensibilities. Pharaoh also addressed Gigi’s critics on Monday with a Facebook post that also missed the point: “Everybody pump the brakes one damn minute!” he wrote, adding: “Over the last 8 years the beautiful Michelle Obama has been the victim of excessive slurring! The Beautiful Flotus has been called Ape, Gorilla, Monkey, Manish, Ugly, Disgusting, ‘Not fit to be in the whitehouse’, always physically attacked by the general populous, nobody really snaps about it!” View Slideshow: American Music Awards 2016: 14 Crazy Awesome Moments! Sheesh. That’s not true, for starters. Plenty of people “snap” about it when racist epithets are hurled Michelle Obama’s way. Also: wasn’t it Michelle Obama herself that said “when they go low, we go high?” Pharaoh is trying to argue here that two wrongs make a right, making us think he missed the day of second grade in which the opposite was taught. Was Hadid’s Trump impression that bad or offensive? No. Not at all. The statements made in defense of it here are far worse, however.

Mike Pence on Hamilton: That’s What Freedom Sounds Like!

It doesn’t seem possible, but this weekend, America is loving Hamilton just a little bit more than it already did. And that’s because, on Friday night, Hamilton told Vice President-elect and notoriously terrible human being Mike Pence. They expressed their fears that he wouldn’t protect all the people in this country, but they expressed those concerns with respect and kindness. Donald Trump, Pence’s bestie, was deeply offended, and he called for an apology , but Pence himself? He was pretty cool with it. Mike Pence on Hamilton: I’m Not Offended! Pence went on Fox News Sunday, and towards the end of the interview he was asked about the Hamilton fiasco. He said that he and his family “really enjoyed” the show, and that it was an “incredible production,” and that it was “a real joy to be there.” With tickets sold out for pretty much the rest of eternity, yeah, we imagine it’s be a joy to be there. Then, as hilarious yet embarrassing as it is, Pence said that he did hear some boos as he took his seat, but “I nudged my kids and reminded them that’s what freedom sounds like.” He said that he did hear the speech, and “I wasn’t offended by what was said.” He added that “I’ll leave to others whether that was the appropriate venue to say it.” Pence went on to give a mini-speech, in which he said “I know this is a very disappointing time for people that did not see their candidate win in this national election.” “I just want to assure people that what President-elect Donald Trump said on election night, he absolutely meant from the bottom of his heart.” “He is preparing to be the president of all of the people of the United States of America, and to watch him bringing together people of diverse views, bringing together people that differed with him strongly, seeing him talk to leaders around the world …” “I just want to reassure every American that in the days head, I’m very confident,” he said. “They’re going to see President-elect Donald Trump be a president for all of the people, and we embrace that principle and we’re going to work hard to make that principle every day that we serve.” Nobody wanted to hear all that nonsense, so he was asked if he wanted to hear an apology from the Hamilton cast and crew. “As I said, I would leave that to others whether that was the appropriate venue for that,” he answered. So all this sounds pretty coached, right? Or at least like he coached himself to play it cool. If theatre-goers booing at him was “what freedom sounds like,” then wouldn’t the actual speech also be what freedom sounds like? Hamilton Cast Delivers Speech to Mike Pence Why not just stick with that instead of the whole “I’m not going to say that it hurt my feelings, but if other people think it was really mean of them, then that’s cool” bit? But hey, at least he said that he wasn’t offended, right? And he very willingly admitted that Hamilton is an absolutely amazing show. It’s more than what Donald Trump did. Yesterday, after the news of what happened began circulating, Trump tweeted “Our wonderful future V.P. Mike Pence was harassed last night at the theater by the cast of Hamilton, cameras blazing. This should not happen!” “The Theater must always be a safe and special place,” he wrote. “The cast of Hamilton was very rude last night to a very good man, Mike Pence. Apologize!” He must have really been torn up about it all, because this morning at 6:22 AM, he tweeted “The cast and producers of Hamilton, which I hear is highly overrated, should immediately apologize to Mike Pence for this terrible behavior.” “Highly overrated”? Oh, Donald, everybody knows you’re a fool , but this is a little much, don’t you think? Electoral college, come get your boys. They’re not doing so hot. Donald Trump Disses Tiffany Trump One Last Time

Today, the longest, most vitriolic presidential election in US history will finally comes to a close. (Unless someone does something crazy like contest the results even if they have no legal grounds on which to do so, but this is America. We wouldn’t stand for something like that, right? RIGHT?!) You may think that no one could possibly be more ready than you are to see this thing finally wrap up (hopefully in a riot-free fashion), but you would be wrong: You may remember Tiffany Trump from her speech at the Republican National Convention in July and then … well, that’s about all you would remember her for. While the three eldest Trump kids have been stumping for their daddy for the past 17 months, Tiff has maintained a significantly lower profile.  Hell, Melania Trump, has done more public speaking over the course of this campaign, and she basically just gets up there and reads from Michelle Obama’s diary. Many have wondered why the 22-year-old recent University of Pennsylvania grad chooses to play such a non-existent role in her father’s run for the White House. After all, anyone who’s familiar with Tiffany’s music career knows that she craves the spotlight and is willing to deeply humiliate herself in order to get it: Tiffany Trump: “Like a Bird” So why isn’t she out there drumming up support for her father at rally events all over the country? Well, it might be that Tiff is fully aware of what most Americans have known for years: Her dad is the douche to end all douches. Check out what he had to say about Tiffany during his 50 millionth call-in interview on Fox & Friends this morning: Around the 14:40 mark in the clip above, Trump gives a shout-out to his kids, as only he can: Donald Trump on Tiffany Trump: Who? “I’m very proud of my children. I mean, I’m just looking at them right now, as an example for your show. But I’m very proud. “Because Don and Eric and Ivanka and—you know, to a lesser extent because she just got out of school, out of college—but, uh, Tiffany, who has also been so terrific. “I mean, they work so hard.” Yeah, it’s always nice to hear your dad praise your siblings, then grudgingly add your name to the list “to a lesser extent.” Throughout the entire interview, Trump only made a brief, passing reference to his youngest son, Barron, who made a couple appearances but barely helped out at all, ya know? Sure, he’s only 10, but when is he gonna start pulling his weight?! Jeez! Trump also referenced the support he received from New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and coach Bill Belichick. At a rally last night, Trump claimed Brady had already voted for him, and he carefully walked back that lie today. Interestingly, Brady’s wife, Gisele Bundchen, says she and husband will not be supporting Trump . We like to imagine Trump responding with: View Slideshow: Tiffany Trump: The Donald’s Daughter is Hotter Than His Temper! “Look, lady, I have no idea what’s going on in my own family; you think I can keep track of yours? “By the way, that’s a lovely accent.
