‘Hills’ Buzz Moment #6: Heidi And Spencer’s Many Weddings

Over the show’s five seasons, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt have gone through two proposals, three weddings and a whole lot of drama — which all adds up to the #6 spot on our list of the most buzzed-about moments on “The Hills.” Over the course of their relationship, not everyone has been rooting for Speidi to stick it out, and Spencer hasn’t always been the best influence on Heidi. He broke up her friendship with Lauren Conrad, caused problems with her family and didn’t always give her sage career advice. Yet, despite the animosity toward him, it seemed like maybe Spencer had changed when he decided back in 2007 to take his relationship with Heidi to a whole new level and proposed to her for the first time. But the two couldn’t agree on all the details. Heidi wanted a lavish wedding, while he wanted to elope, and of course, in the end, Spencer got his way. So, on a trip to Mexico fueled by some tequila, Heidi and Spencer eloped. But a Mexican wedding doesn’t mean you’re really married in the United States, and upon their return, Heidi and Spencer wanted to make it legal in a courtroom wedding in Los Angeles. The news was not well-received, but thanks to some advice from sister Stephanie, Spencer showed us all he actually has a heart. “I just want to give you the wedding of your dreams, and I will deal with it,” Spencer told Heidi, forgoing the courtroom ceremony. “It’s worth it, and we’ll do it the way you want.” Eventually, Spencer proposed again, and Heidi finally got the wedding she always dreamed of — plus a nice rock. On April 25, 2009, friends and family gathered to see Speidi make it official in a fairy-tale wedding . With Lauren Conrad in attendance and Kristin Cavallari making an appearance, it was a day to remember. Stephanie later told MTV News , “This is with the family. Al Roker Weighs In On Heidi And Spencer’s Marital Woes

By Jocelyn Vena Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag Photo: David Becker/ Getty Images The “Today” show’s Al Roker may have finally buried the hatchet with “The Hills” stars Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt. Last summer, Roker famously got into a spat with Montag and Pratt , after the couple appeared on the morning show to tout their appearance on “I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here!” As Roker questioned the couple’s behavior on the NBC show, the conversation quickly turned sour. Montag and Pratt walked off the “Today” show set, but the battle didn’t end there. Soon, the unlikely adversaries were bashing each other in interviews and on Twitter. Now, nearly a year later, Roker wants to let bygones be bygones … sort of. At the Dressed to Kilt event on Monday night, MTV News recently caught up with the world’s most famous “weatherman,” as Pratt derisively referred to Roker. And in a jab back at the couple, he initially pretended not to remember who they are. “Who? Who?” he joked. But Roker had only words of encouragement for Speidi. The trailer for the final “Hills” season shows that Pratt and Montag seem to have hit a rough patch in their marriage. “Look, you know what? They’re young. I wish them the best. They’re young and that’s who they are, and God bless ’em.” Last June, when the feud erupted, Heidi and Spencer said they couldn’t figure out why Roker had turned antagonistic toward them. “I think when he got to work in the morning and he was doing his normal weather job, he was looking, and it was partly cloudy, he must have taken that personally,” Pratt said. “Because I don’t know why he felt the need to persecute Speidi for nothing.” Do you think Heidi and Spencer will stay together? Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt Deny Breakup, Adopt "Spiritual" Native American Names

Phew. That’s all we cay say now that Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt have shot down rumors that they are splitting up and she already moved out. “I’m not moving out ,” Heidi Montag stated. “I love Spencer with all my heart.” Added Pratt: “I love my wife more now than I ever thought I could.” Not that it’s been smooth sailing of late. Montag recently squabbled with Pratt over her plastic surgery and diva-like behavior, and even fired him as manager . But they have stuck together. “All that we’ve been through has only made us work harder at our relationship,” Heidi says. “We will continue to work to be the best couple we can be.” “I’m so excited The Hills are finally over so I won’t be edited by anyone,” she adds. “This will be the first time people truly see us for who we are.” Wait, we thought The Hills was a reality show? Never mind. In order to strengthen their bond with each other and spirituality, Heidi and Spencer Pratt decided to give themselves “true native-American names.” Guess playing with balls of healing energy was a one-shot deal. In any case, say goodbye to Speidi and say hello to … drum roll … White Wolf and Running Bear, respectively. We’d have chosen Montag by Mattel. A rep for the couple say Pratt’s previous moniker, King Spencer, was “too much of a burden to have to carry the weight of royalty.” This guy rules . Instead, Running Bear is getting “more in tune with spirituality … and will be known by the name our creator has given us.” For the next day or so .

Spencer Pratt Calls Out "Diva" Heidi Montag

Heidi Montag was a major diva at a recent Hills photo shoot. That’s not surprising in the least. What is a bit unexpected is that this report comes straight from the mouth of her husband and pimp, Spencer Pratt. Monday, Heidi Montag showed up with four bodyguards and Audrina Patridge, Kristin Cavallari, Stephanie Pratt and Lo Bosworth were all “shocked.” She then “refused to take part in a group shot, even though she had agreed to it beforehand.” MTV will digitally insert her in later, it was reported. Spencer Pratt says of her alleged diva behavior, “It’s all true,” though he adds “She was sick and she didn’t even want to go to that photo shoot!” PLASTIC PRINCESS : Heidi Montag’s behavior on the set of The Hills can’t even be explained away by Spencer Pratt anymore. Not a good sign. [Photo: PacificCoastNewsOnline.com] Montag posted a photo of her posing with six bodyguards. Pratt says her entourage is nothing new. “She always travels with security,” Pratt explained. When asked about her behavior on the set that floored her Hills co-stars, a source says that she replied, “I’m a movie star now!” Well, she wants to be . She just finished filming her cameo on Just Go With It , which stars Jennifer Aniston, and apparently thinks she is all that now. No big surprise there. As for Spencer Pratt, he’s no saint himself, having been forced to take a six-week leave after “flipping out” on a female producer on the set of The Hills. The final season of The Hills premieres April 27. If reports like this are any indication, maybe it’s for the best that the long-running series fade to black.

Spencer Pratt: Addicted to Crystals, Fame

Stories about Spencer Pratt and his plastic wife keep on getting more ridiculous. The latest? The Hills’ resident villain is addicted to crystal, allegedly. Not crystal meth or Cristal, just … crystals. In an effort to find enlightenment (he’s very spiritual), he’s been seen with his favorite rock recently. Honestly, there are photos. Says Spencer Pratt : “I am so addicted to crystals, it’s a sickness. I’ve spent $500,000 on crystals this year. I checked my bank account last night, and I have $203 left.” Lies. But humorous ones at least. We got nothing. [Photo: PacificCoastNewsOnline.com] During Valentine’s Day, Speidi “hung out with our puppies and cuddled with our crystal. It’s supposed to bring love. There’s a whole science to this. I’m not crazy.” No, of course not. Although he may be lying. We saw Speidi’s Valentine’s Day pictures , and let’s just say it involved lingerie, chocolates and … we’re gonna puke. As for the new fascination of Spencer Pratt, he might be overpaying at half a million for one crystal, according to an expert hilariously cited by Life & Style … “Certain crystals are associated with different types of energy, yes. But [$500K] doesn’t sound right to me. Most of our crystals range from $1 to $100.” So he’s either full of it or overpaid by about 5,000 times the market value. Somehow we’d bet on the former. Think how much plastic surgery that’d buy.
